I locked my keys in my car, I called AAA and they sent California Roadside Service. *Ricardo* responded to the call and arrived within half an hour. He was able to unlock my car within two minutes. He was very nice professional service oriented, and did an outstanding job to open my car door.
Poor Customer Service. Absolutely rude and wont even give you the time to hear you out. We came here because we were referred by AAA to come here to get help with our car battery and instead getting 5 minutes of there time, they just told us to call the customer service phone number. This is supposedly a AAA location where we could come and get our battery replaced. Everything would have been fine if this guy would have just been friendlier and just be patient to explain the process. He didn't even let us explain why we were there or how we got there. He kept interrupting me when I was explaining my situation. Regardless of how you want to see things, that is not how to treat people. We are a family with our kids who were all in the car trying to get some help and this is how you trat someone in need. Absolutely unnecessary and completely heartless with no consideration. Not worth the time and effort to report how bad this company is. Simply, they did not arrive at or close to the given eta. Driver gave Agent false info to make himself look good even stating he did not phone me even when I have his phone number otherwise if he didn't call me how did I have it? Of course Agent didn't side with the customer and I had to cancel the tow not wanting nor trusting this driver and AAA Agent.
Thorough and professional to begin and then...over the top excellent! What a committed driver. If there are Grammy Awards for service folks this team gets my nomination. They had the solutions that the previous tow company lacked and they seemed impervious to the pouring rain. Smiles all around!

One of the best AAA experiences! My car was stuck in one of the worst positions and we could not get it into neutral to move it. Francisco went above and beyond to get my car hooked up and delivered to the shop. Wonderful customer service, vehicle care, and mechanical knowledge. He even knew trusted mechanics in the area. You can't go wrong with Francisco.

Just a heads up for anyone on DISNEY property (parking structure, simba lot, any parking lot) Disney has a FREE service for lockouts, battery assists and tow escorts. Just find any of the assistance boxes and press the blue button. No need for their services, PSA the “manager” of this company is super unprofessional for a guys who barely speaks English :)
Amazing service! I got a flat tire and heard a metal grinding noise so I needed a tow. My driver Hinh was very helpful and informative. He helped me decide between taking the car to a tire shop or a dealership. He totally made the right call, took it to a tire shop and saved me money. I totally recommend calling them for service. California Roadside was contracted by AAA to tow my wife and I from Anaheim to Monrovia following an accident that disabled our car. We limped the car off the freeway to a parking lot, reported the accident, and set up the tow at 8:30pm, and were told the tow would be there in ~40 mins. 30 mins later the app reported over 2.5 hours to pickup (for a total of 3 hours), so I called AAA back to request another service. They informed me that they would look for alternatives, but that there was a queue to do so, so they'd leave the original request in place for now. While we waited California Roadside updated the pickup time twice more to 1:30am, and then 2:30am (6 hours later!). At 10:45pm I finally called AAA back and reported that several suspicious characters were in the same parking lot as us and the adjacent business was about to close and I was concerned for our safety. This bumped us to the top of the request list and AAA was finally able to find another company from miles away who was able to pick us up in under 45 mins. California Roadside was absolutely worthlessness to us in this case and I would not recommend their services.
Dude has a giant ego. I thought he wanted to fight me. As I'm unloading the last of my vehicle he is telling his boss there is a bunch of tile in the van while I was taking the last of it out. I told him this and he got an attitude. EDGAR GONZALEZ has 0 customer service skills and shouldn't be working with people. Denied my AAA tow because he felt like it. What a baby. I wish nothing but the worst for the guy. He seemed like he was gonna pull up later.
Best Roadside Service Ever!!!! Thank you Paul at California Roadside Service for amazing service. I was so lucky to get his help today! With a day that started rough and then ended up only getting rougher when my starter went out. Paul went above and beyond and totally helped turn my day around by getting me and my car safely to my mechanic. So grateful. His energy is the best and deserves his flowers from the higher ups. He made you look good just being professional, hardworking especially while dealing with the heat of a 1000 suns! It was f'n miserable and my butt wasn't doing squat. But really, thank you so much for helping me today!!!
Driver drove right by, and closed our request. Upon follow up, they kept transferring me to voicemail. Not even professional enough to tell me they cancelled on me. Super unreliable.
Basically, Auto Club of So Cal, contracting with California Roadside North setup reasonable expectations, and failed, repeatedly to meet every single one of them. Furthermore, not only did the California Roadside North driver abandon me in a parking lot, he notified ALL OTHER Roadside Service providers in the geographical area to REFUSE to respond to my Service Request. California Roadside North appears to have no problem abandoning disabled senior citizens, with car trouble, in the middle of the night. This isn’t speculation, I saw the long, long list of providers who refused to respond to my emergency roadside service call thru AAA. I waited 6-hours for one, ethical roadside service provider.
This service provider was dispatched through Auto Club So Cal (AAA)
- 8:06 PM - Battery Service Req
- As instructed, updates were to be sent via TEXT;
- Texted updates re delays were sent twice.
- 9:18 PM, unknown number called, did not leave message, did NOT text.
- 9:34 PM. still no sign of AAA/California Roadside North
- 9:39 PM call back to AAA, re ETA status of California Roadside North; text updates are SILENT. No text updates re ETA or Status.
- 9:52 in the midst of a stranger verbally and physically threatening me, in the parking lot where I finally got out of my car to look for the California Roadside North Service Provider, I see a truck with Auto Club insignias parked out of view, behind a large van. He's been parked there for 30 minutes having made absolutely no effort to visually locate me according to the written instructions I had been asked to provide. With a stranger behind me threatening me, and the driver making excuses, words were exchanged, and I had to return to my car for my own safety. I'm a disabled senior citizen. The driver for California Roadside North drove away without jumping my battery, and yelling, "Good luck getting anyone else to show up".
Evidently, California Roadside North has an exclusive contract with the Auto Club. Now, they are just sending texts with new ETA's followed by subsequent texts with delayed arrivals:
- ETA 11:30 pm;
- ETA 12:08 am;
- ETA 12:37 am;
- ETA 1:31 am;
- ETA 1:26 am - 1:46 am.
It's already 1:35 am, I've been waiting 5-1/2 hours on a Wednesday night, and CA Roadside North is a No Show.
At least I escaped that crazy young guy threatening violence. In my first experience with California Roadside North, I find them unreliable, poor work ethic, untrustworthy.
Unfortunately, I’m not shocked to see the other reviews on here. I have used AAA for 20+ years and can’t remember having an experience that wasn’t good to great. These guys are terrible. And I’m not just talking as a AAA contractor. As a service provider in general they are awful and dishonest.
We needed our battery jumped after leaving lights on. Called at 9:15pm and was sent to them. Patrick from California Roadside called at 9:25pm and said a truck would be to us in 30-40 minutes. At 10:25, I reached out to AAA who stated that our tech, Rolando, would be to us within 15 minutes. At 10:50, I asked for another update and was told California Road Service cancelled the call. I asked why? Nothing. I called Patrick at California Road back and he said I didn’t have a service request and would need to submit it again. So we did, and were given a 30-45 minute estimate. Ha. After another hour, I cancelled, Ubered home, picked up our other car and drove back to grab my wife and 3 cold, tired kids. Thanks for wasting 3 hours.These guys are a bunch of idiots. If AAA sticks you with them - I’m sorry. If you have a choice - choose Uber or walk.
Been with AAA for 15 years, and never encountered such unprofessional company. The own company can’t contact their own drivers. Called in at 10pm said they’d be here at 11:30. Well now it’s 2:30am. I kept contact with AAA and asked if the driver could contact me and he never did. At 2:19 someone from this company contact me driver can’t make will send a new in 20 min. Which IS A LIE. It took them over 2 hours to contact me at all when Ive been calling every 20-30 min.
It's never a good day when you have to call a tow service for your vehicle but honestly when James came in with a wonderful attitude and a funny persona at least he was a highlight to my day. He helped me push my car all the way into the drive way because street sweeping was the next day.
I had a driver by the name of Gerardo sent to give my car a tow and from the first time I spoke with him over the phone he was very rude , disrespectful and just straight unprofessional. He even told me I had to push my truck myself and to be ready for him when he got here otherwise he would leave. And that’s exactly what he did he got here and found some excuse not to tow my truck and he left speeding out of my apartment complex!!! I absolutely am appalled that any tow truck driver would behave in such a way . There’s lots of kids that play outside here and he drove off with complete disregard to human life or children’s life at that . Maybe your other drivers and company are better than this at least I would hope so but I’m just leaving this review based solely on my experience with this particular driver . Thanks

My car didn't start this morning. It sucked.
I phoned AAA, and Eric with California Roadside Service was at my door within 20 minutes. He checked alternator, starter, and battery (ding, ding, winner-winner!). He replaced my battery and even pressed to help me get the warrantied discount (as my existing battery was with AAA, although slightly outside the warranty window). ERIC IS EVERYTHING. His customer service, patience, and willingness to answer my questions was beyond exceptional. His demeanor and skill is why I'll stay with AAA, and wouldn't hesitate to contact California Roadside Service if I WASN'T a AAA member.
Thank you for everything. Making an uneasy experience palatable is a skill, and Eric and CA Roadside Service did it successfully.
Horrible service, went through triple AAA submitted claim at 6:20 got a ETA at 7:11 then moved back to 7:50 after calling triple a they said they would bump my claim higher got in contact with dispatch said they where going to send someone sooner received ETA 8:24 called a different tow service arrive in 20 min should be out of business already with all the negative reviews
Don’t use them !! If I could change it to a 0 Star I would. Positively Terrible!!! A Complete Waste of Time. I had spoken with a AAA Supervisor and she has put the details in my file to NEVER have this JOKE of a Tow company to be used in my future tow situations ever again. Not only did AAA agree that my situation was unacceptable but they also agreed to offer me a free Tow or a reimbursement to another company outside AAA for this Tow Company's poor performance and also said that they would investigate this matter. I had arranged with AAA for a specific 6am pick up appointment the day before due to an 7:15 am appointment for repairs. The call was given to California Roadside West. I received a text message that the driver should arrive by 6am. After calling AAA at 6:30 to find out where was the driver, I was given the number to California Roadside West. I called them directly and got a recording that the “Google number was not available” twice ! The third time calling the California Roadside Dispatcher said the driver was in route, but refused to say where or when to expect him. At 6:40am I received a text that the driver was on the way ETA13-18 mins. At 7:05am I received another message the driver was 23-35 mins away. The driver showed up at 7:20 am. 1 hr and 20 minutes late. When he did show up we both could tell that this was not going to happen. He had a an attitude from the moment he got out of his cab, and told me “that he just got told.” I could tell he was not apologetic or honest about his answer. I replied that my issue was with his company. He said that he didn’t want the attitude so he decided to walk back to his cab and drive off, which I agreed with. I didn’t want to be stuck in a long drive with him either to an appointment I missed because of them, by over an hour when we might have gotten there anyway. Either way someone at this Joke of a Tow Company is lying, the dispatcher or the driver, both. I ended up having to reschedule my appointment for another day.
This company was assigned to me through AAA. The company was very unprofessional. The girl who answered the phone gave me an eta of 45 minutes. After the 45 minutes went by, no one ever called to give me an update, I had to call AAA back and they contacted the company to get me an update. I ended up waiting 2 1/2 hours for a jump. I will say that the guy who came was nice and took care of me really quick so that I could make it on time to pick my daughter up from school. I had never had such bad customer service when dealing with AAA.
I was told via text by AAA by way of California Roadside Service ICS 31 would be to me in a hour. Right before the hour, literally 6 mins before, I received another text saying another company was coming. I called that company to get an ETA and was told it would take an additional hour. What I could gather from the customer service rep is they (C.R.S ICS 31) was busy. But how could they not have known they had to many calls when they received my call? To wait an hour just to say "we're busy" or "we're understaffed" is unacceptable. You knew you we're understaffed when you opend up for business this morning. You also knew the call volume was high at the time of acceptance and still chose to take the call. If you tell me an hour, be there in a hour. If not, communicate it in a timely manner. Very unprofessional, unorganized, and will flat out lie. ICS 31 California roadside assistance is trash
Honestly after waiting 2 1/2 hours in a 20 minute parking zone, I think I will be cancelling my membership with AAA. This company first gave me an estimate of 45 minutes only to send a text adding an additional hour. The battery guy was not able to get my car to start and I needed a tow. Why did the tow information say it would arrive at 10:55. I called AAA for them to tell me the arrival time is actually 11:30. I have never been so irritated this bad in a really l time. I really wish AAA had other towing companies available. If it was up to me, I would never choose them again.
Absolutely horrible experience with this service. The tow truck driver, David is grossly unprofessional and left my wife stranded on the side of the road. Just because my wife was able to back the truck up so he can tow it home he refused to load the vehicle. Finally he did but kept telling her it is fine and he could tell it was fine because he knows cars. Nevermind the issue was that the truck was slipping out of gear and unsafe to drive any distance. AAA said the tow could drive her home with the vehicle and he refused to because she called me upset over how this man was berating her. He said he felt unsafe. And left with our vehicle and left my wife stranded in a dark parking lot. THIS IS THE WORST SERVICE EVER ESTABLISHED IN THE TOW INDUSTRY. BY ALL MEANS NECESSARY AVOID THIS SERVICE and insist AAA remove them as a contractor
I have had to call AAA several times in the last month and had been having the worst experience with the guys coming out. I had never felt more vulnerable as woman in my life. The customer service was unpleasant by the guys coming out. Until I had Edgar come out. I was a little on gaurd, thinking he would be the same as others that came out. I feel bad that I was not, in the begining as pleasant as he was. I was stressed out being towed and waiting for my sister's car being towed home, as well. It was not a fun day for me. Yet, Edgar was very professional. I needed to call two more times and the next two guys that came out were from the same company. Raul and Joshua were also so helpful and nice. They arrived much sooner than expected and got me home in a timely manner. Their job is not easy dealing with people who are stressed out over a car breaking down. Trust me I have been overwhelmed by my car in the last several weeks and I am beyond pleased to see these guys come out to help. Their work is beyond stellar. Thank you Edgar, Raul and Joshua for helping me out.
