Rudest staff in truckee, terrible policies Wouldn’t take return of defective item. Bought a compression test kit that was defective, tried to return it and they told me to go kick rocks. Didn’t even want to hear me out. I don’t have time to come back looking for a manager later. Hopefully the manufacturer will refund me. Customer service has been consistently pretty rude/bad in general here at this location. Been a customer for over 10 years, not anymore. I’m done trying to support this local business. For the product: it did not fit the specified thread or pitch, nor did any of the adapter pieces fit.. which are specifically for this model number compression tester. Most likely a defect on the threads on the compression tester itself. Edit after reply: thanks for the number to corporate, I guess. I’ve already contacted them, and they’ve been pretty helpful so far. Definitely gives the vibe that the shop itself isn’t willing to help me, further solidifying my theory that I’m better off shopping online

Was given the wrong parts twice. Absolutely not helpful. Then not provided any sort of refund. Recommend going anywhere else

Gentleman working came out to help me with my car because I was taking too long to figure it out, also located the right parts for me by make/model.

Decent selection, friendly and knowledgeable staff, and I just love the feel of an old Napa store from my youth so I appreciate and respect them not modernizing their looks at any brance I've been too.

Friendly helpful staff, can usually get parts same day or next day if they don't have it in stock.

Small local NAPA. The people know what they're talking about and are very helpful if you come in not know much but your vehicles doing "so and so".

Very well stocked shop. Found a shift linkage bushing there that was the last one in California. Helpful staff that know their stuff.

Wasn't the beat place for an out of town person, if you have a big order you best be ready to load it yourself, the employees will walk around you to help a local, I will gladly drive an extra 20 miles to not go here again.

We needed wiper blades for our rental car. They made every effort to locate the most cost effective ones. Great customer service!

DO NOT BUY SNOW CHAINS HERE. Sold me the wrong size snow chain. Now I cannot return them. All snow chains sales are final. I gave them the tire size and type of chain I wanted. I asked for diagonal chains, they brought out ladder chains. I said that is the wrong chain. The staff actually sighed and went back to get the correct type of chain, except it was the wrong size. I found out they were the wrong size chains when I got home.

Everybody was very nice and helpful Unfortunately they didn't have what I needed and had to order it and I got the part but I didn't get the bolt that held apart on and they didn't carry it so I ended up having to go somewhere else for that that's the only reason I left one star off

Thank you Napa crew so much for dealing with me as swiftly as i was moving that day i was rushing back into the Dixie fire zone to get my son out . I bought the spark plug puller and a obd reader . Thank you so much you guys rock!

Was just parked outside, didn't go in. I heard good things about it. I worked across the street and locals would talk about it.

If you're in truckee and need a part, Napa is the place. been going there for meny years now, great local staff.

Good store with helpfull staff. They ALLWAYS WILL HAVE CHAINS. Allways. If chain controls are on by northstar, come here and they will take care of you. There is also often someone out front to help put them on if you don't want to break a nail or something.

Great service and dealing with anxious travelers who needed snow chains and cables. Store had the necessary stock and checked to make tire snow cable installation was correct.

My car recently broke down outside of Truckee. I originally went to NAPA for help and part replacement. The staff I encountered were rude, condescending and of little help. I then left NAPA and walked to O'Reilly's Auto parts where I found great customer service, the right parts and friendly helping people. I returned to my vehicle to realized I needed 1 extra part. When walking back into town I didn't even bother stopping at NAPA. Instead I chose to walk the extra +1 mile round trip past NAPA to O'Reilly's Auto parts. Do yourself a favor and avoid this business if you can. There are much friendlier shops that want your business and have a better selection of parts.

They have good product, but their staff is severely lacking. The management team there always makes you feel like you're inconveniencing them and they will help when they feel like it.

I am obviously biased as my Dad is the Manager, but this store is great. They have almost anything you need and if they do not have it they can often find it next day by 2pm! Amazon might beat the price occasionally, but the help and service is well worth it. Se hable Espanol.

Stopped in the Trukee NAPA to grab snow chains as my wife was getting ski boots adjusted across the street at Start Haus. The weather was fine and they were not busy so I figured it would be a good opportunity to make a purchase and ask some questions. Unfortunately the guy working the desk was impatient and treated me like an idiot, even though I had done plenty of research before coming to the store. After showing him a picture of my tire specs and confirming that he had the right size, the chains he sold me are way too big. Thankfully a NAPA store in Sacramento said they would exchange these for the right size.

The best!!!! A good old boy shop with a lot of experience and knowledge! Always have, or know what and where to get what I need... Willingness to help is a def plus...

My first priority with any business or product I support is value, and Napa in Truckee brings it. I've been shopping all over, online, from dealerships, etc and when I hear Napa's price, I'm consistently shocked. They beat the Ford dealer by half or better, most all the time, and others by more. They're even cheaper than most of the best available internet prices on Amazon, ebay, etc. I'm consistently surprised and very pleased these guys are in Truckee. Their service is great, they have a diagnostic scan tool free for their customers to use, will test batteries for free, and are just overall happy and helpful. Thanks guys!

I live in Truckee, I have gone to Napa Auto Parts a couple of times. Same result everytime. Rude and overpriced. Now I go down the hill to Reno. I refuse to spend my money in a place where they overcharge you and are rude. They act like they are doing you a favor. I am suprised they are still in business. Go down the block to N/C auto next to the DMV
