I prefer the one in Vacaville which was cheaper, faster, and didn’t charge for mattresses. Expect a long line if you come to American canyon one. Overall it was ok.
More directional signage would be great. They have different stops for different categories, which makes sense, but the signs aren't very clear. The trash dump is in the very back, past the recycling, but if it's your first time there, it can be a little confusing. But all and all it's an easy dump once you get there. Clean facility, especially for a dump. You do pull up to a ledge if you're not construction, so I wouldn't bring children, unless they're forsure staying in the car. I used to go to the dump with my mom as a kid, but that's when you'd drive over all the trash and I could go "treasure hunting" not like that at all. Besides me getting confused and kind of lost looking for the trash part, great facility.
Fast, friendly service. I was able to access the dumping station easily. Fee was reasonable for a pickup truck full. I also recycled old nail polish and some chemicals at the hazardous waste station on the same property for free.
My recycling haul was sweet. They were really busy, but like usual the crew was on their game. Even though there was a guy who was sorting in the pay line and the chick that cut in front of me , was out of there in record time. Thanks again for the fast work and courteous service....

We paid $41 to dump a truck full of stuff.The min you pay will be $40 so keep that in mind.It didn’t take long.There is a section of 5 to 6 cars dumping maybe more and you just wait your turn.We didn’t wait more than 5 minutes.I read bad reviews but I just wanna say,I had a good experience so I would dump again here.
I usually go later, early afternoon, and lines going in are non-existent. Lines going out are slower, 5-10 minutes or more.
I like the basic garbage area, it's all concrete, covered building, easy in and out.
The yard waste area is round the corner of concrete area. Dirtier, I even got an item in my tire, ended up getting a flat. No biggie though.
All and all, great place.
I called them before going there and they said that they close at 4pm .
I’ve arrived at 2:57pm and they were closing the door,I told them that they are supposed to close at 4pm and that I’ve rented the U-Haul for the day only and it’s full of things to damp but he didn’t want to listen and continue to close the door.

Good place to take your trash. In Contra Costa county they ought to use this place as an example to operate the Golden Bear Transfer in Richmond. I felt good driving up to the warehouse. No problem with the Fees. Debris throw away is a breeze!
Came to drop off bottles and cans for the recycle buyback. The hours are until 4pm, but the buyback closes at 3:15pm. Still open later than the other buyback locations nearby.
In and Out in about 10mins max. That’s including driving to appropriate area for your disposal and checking out. Been here 3 times, so far with rocks and lumber. No wait times (2 exit scales). Went there teo friday mornings and one afternoon.
There is no reason why it should take the employees in the booth so long to process payments and paperwork. They literally have one job. There is always an hour+ wait to get out of this place. Recology in SF never has a line because it takes less then 3 minutes to get weighed and process credit card payments. These people either need to create a batter process or get better employees.
Worst dump by far that I have ever been to. I never leave reviews but this was a terrible experience. I have been to a lot of landfills throughout California and have never seen a more poorly ran operation. Terrible signage as to where to go from the moment you enter the gate. They should have a sign that says you’ll be waiting 2 hours to get out! It is worth it to drive to a different landfill. I will never return!
All they need to do is put in another scale, to speed up the pay process or automate the pay process. 2 hour wait in the age of technology is unacceptable.
Can you please figure out how to get us out of there faster.

Irritating wait in line. They need an Express lane for dumps under or at 1000lbs.
I like their ability to recycle large items, and old mattresses. The effort to recycle is great.
But sense of taking 5 minutes to dump 120 lbs, and wait behind 20-30 trucks for over an hour was a bit taxing
Horrible customer service , and the employees inside don't even speak English. Also the Big guy that's super lazy sitting in the chair telling people where to go is absolutely worthless and rude . Waited for 1 hour 45mins .
Place is awful, the customer service stinks! I waited in line for two hours just to pay, TWO HOURS!!!! My car moved a few feet every 5 minutes!! Worst run place EVER! I will never come here again...Contra Costa knows how to do it 100 times more efficient!!!
When you go inside the dump theirs a guy that tells the which way to go but he has a horrible attitude and it sounds like he doesn't understand what I'm saying but actually I'm the one that can't under stand him,I tried posting a picture of him but it didn't work but you guys know who I'm talking about.
I've done business with Devlin for over five years. The staff and management team here are professional and customer oriented. They genuinely care and handle any concerns immediately. I recommend this place!
I Have been using Delvin recycle for a long time And I never had any problem with any person in the office until today with the operator named VeronicaM2 she gave me the form to sign and I did, and I returned the form to her which it's normal and she said the yellow copy it"s yours i said ok, and she said again "then get it" . when i Told her that was part of her job she started to scream. Every day I gave papers to my customer to sign and after they signed I get papers back and remove the yellow copy and returned to customer again . I think she is in the wrong place or she did not received a training to do the work she is doing, not professional
