Big Brand Tire & Service purchased Newton Brothers in the summer of 2025. Different sales software and a different sign on the front of the business, but most everything else is the same, with most of the staff having stayed plus some new faces.
Curren up front was welcoming and helpful and was able to get my vehicle on jacks within just a few minutes for a set of fairly priced tires.
I had a several options of tires, so selection was good, even the top tier prices were lower than I'd seen posted for nearby locations, including the popular big box option nearby.

Guest WiFi was really slow, but with solid 5g access on this stretch of Del Monterey, my phone's data was able to power my hotspot and I worked while I waited.
Service time was right at an hour. A steady stream of customers were all promptly and politely served. Both the front and service bay staff worked well together. I was impressed with the business and will return

Got an alignment with them and when I pulled in I noticed that they had a legit high 5 digit priced setup for the job. Instantly knew I was in good hands!
Went there once due to nail in my tire. Sullivans auto body shop wanted to charge me $700 telling me i had to replace 2 of my tires because of this, that it couldn't be patched due to its location.
Took it here to Newtons and just once glance the mechanic figured the type of nail it was and believed it probably didnt even go through my tire. He pulled it for me and tested it to make sure no air was leaking and didn't charge me a dime. saved me $700.
Ever since then i always go back here when i can. They do good honest work and I have never felt once like they were trying to upsell me on pointless extras or trying to get me to agree to more work than was needed.
After being grossly overcharged for my back brakes, a friend recommended Newton Brothers Tire Service to install my new tires and replace my front brakes. The quote Dave Newton gave me was less than half what the other shop quoted! They accommodated my tight schedule and my car was ready surprisingly quick. But, what really stood out was when I picked up my car they said my front brakes didn’t need to be replaced yet, and that it would be an unneeded expense! My mouth dropped!
The shop was very busy, but I was greeted and helped in a professional, courteous way. I never felt like I had to be wary as I have been when getting car repairs done in the past. This shop is fair, efficient, honest and friendly without fluff, which I don’t want to pay for anyway! There’s nowhere I will ever go again for my or my family’s tire or brake needs. It’s no wonder when you mention Newton Brothers, everyone responds with, “Oh, I love those guys!”
Once again, Newton Brothers to the rescue! They are simply the best tire place in the area. They offer great customer service at a very fair price. Thank you Brian and the team for a wonderful experience again!
We finally found our tire place! Newton Brothers was extremely busy yesterday and I had a major flat on our SUV. As I approached the counter, Brian, the Manager, handled my issue with care and patience. Our SUV was fixed in no time at a very fair price! Thank you Brian and the team. As stated, the next time we need tires or need a repair, Newton Brothers is our new tire center!

Everything you read in these reviews IS TRUE! These guys are the REAL DEAL. Old fashion focus on the customer. I ordered tires and arrived at 8am to be first in line! I left my car and walked to a local coffee shop and 1 hour later Dave called to say they could only find 1 of the 4 tires. I had an appointment and Dave offered me his car to drive to my appointment while they figured a way to get the tires and then install them by the time I got back. Who does that these days...??? Only the Newton Brothers.
This family-run business consistently goes above and beyond to deliver outstanding customer service. They installed a full suspension system on my Tacoma, took the time to walk me through the process, and verified all measurements. Their honesty, transparency, and attention to detail truly set them apart. I highly recommend their services to anyone seeking quality work and trustworthy service.
This is only second review I’ve ever felt I needed to do.
We spent a couple days vacationing in Monterey. Flat tire as we were leaving. Limped car to Newton Brothers. Tire was unrepairable (torn inner sidewall). Uncommon size tire so they couldn’t easily source. They took time to call around and found tires at Volvo dealer. They got tires and installed for us right away so we could leave town. Should also point out that they were extremely busy at the time. Guessing they were busy because locals know how good they are.

My tire popped on Aguajito and I had to put the collapsible spare on it. Not ideal right before my work week. Newton Bros was the first tire shop out of ten that I called that offered to put a temporary tire on my car so I wasn’t driving on the collapsible spare until my new tire came in. Doug offered an instant solution to a problem that had been complicating my entire week. I cannot thank these gentlemen enough for their kindness and professionalism!

My son was in the Monterey Bay Area for a few days over spring break. He had wheel rim damage due to a pothole. Calling around to a few places in the area, we were told it could be several days to get a replacement rim. Newton Bros was able to find the exact wheel the next day and also mounted the tire on the new wheel for a great price. They went above and beyond to help and my son was able to enjoy his time off. Great customer service!
Exceptional service! I was driving home from work (commute 100 mi/day roundtrip) and had a sudden flat! Called them on my way home, distressed, and they got me in and patched up my tire so fast! The Newton brothers are also such genuinely kind people, really make you feel part of the community. I feel so lucky and grateful to have them close by!
I’ve been meaning to write a review. This company is so amazing not only do they have excellent service but excellent attention to customer. I can’t speak enough about how happy I was with their service. We were on a family trip and one of our tires on our Escape Had a huge nail. We got there almost closing time and they fixed our tire. Thank you very much I will forever be grateful.
Honest business! Customer service very friendly and after so many years as a customer, we never felt the Newton brothers are trying to "squeeze a buck". Reliable, trustworthy and knowledgeable!
We have used this place to replace multiple flat tires, get new tires, snow tires, etc it has always been a smooth and easy experience. Today I needed help with a tire that had a nail in it, they took the time to fix it, and after spending two hours they didn’t charge me at all because I bought the tires from them. They did the same for the gentleman waiting ahead of me. They also didn’t want to take a tip but I insisted. Good people. Highly recommend
This place was busy the day I visited. The employees who greeted me were nice. This changed when the service was completed and then one employee demanded a larger tip. The other employees started laughing and encouraging him to keep going to the next level. After this encounter, I would NEVER trust this shop again. Not to work on my car or with my safety of a family member.
The job was $80 with a $20 tip. I left a zero tip after this encounter.
Very friendly, great prices, took awhile to change my tires but they did a really solid job. As well as the pricing was still within my budget even after extra work was done.
I had my car aligned after installing coil overs and new suspension parts on my fiesta st at local shop in Vallejo and I was charged an hour of labor only to be told they couldn’t do the job correctly. I tried the shop again and it seemed worse. My friend owns an independent auto shop in Monterey county. He recommended Newton brothers and guaranteed they can take care of my issue. I made an appointment and sure enough there were major issues. They took care of the alignment and even offered to help down the road if I needed it. I felt undercharged for their service. The knowledge and expertise was worth the 2 hour drive. Thanks guys!

Thank you thank you thank you! They took care of my mother quickly and HONESTLY! She had gotten three estimates for her car and was looking at a possibly $3500 car repair. Newton Brothers got her in and out. 4 new tires and an full alignment. Highly recommend so happy to know while states away her best interest was looked after. Y’all rock!
Took my car in for a tire rotation. I asked if I needed a front end alignment as well, so the very friendly gentlemen came out to my car, looked at my tires and said I didn't need one. Very honest, they did the job right away, were very kiind and friendly. Would always buy my tires there as they are also very knowledgeable.

What can I say about these guys, except they're literally the best!!! They have always been honest and fair and even at the busiest times, they've helped me when I was stranded and also when my vehicle was in dangerous driving condition. I have recommended all my friends and co-workers to Newton Brothers. It's nice to know that you're not getting ripped off. It's nice to know that people are still honest and do great work.
Over the years myself, my family and my employees have purchased many sets of tires from Newton Brothers. They have been outstanding every time. This is a family owned business that cares about their customers and you can really tell when you come by. We've purchased tires here for our work trucks, vans, personal vehicles, etc. They are always helpful, provide multiple options, make sound recommendations, etc. Even during COVID when tires were scarce they still found hard-to-get tires for us twice. Highly recommended!
Took our Aston in for a tire change to fix a slow leak after running over a nail. The owners were great and the technician was very professional. An efficient and courteous shop with good prices and a friendly atmosphere. Nice to have a place in town we can trust.
I am searching for words to describe the lack of professionalism displayed by this business. 18 months ago I payed them over 900.00$ to install lowering springs on my 2015 Camaro SS. This didn't solve the handling problem I was experiencing. I recently installed KW coilovers myself and was horrified to find only 3 bolt's holding the rear shocks should be 4 .The pictures show what I saw when inspection was done, no marks where the forth bolt should be just rust. When I asked the mgr.about this he shrugged and said very calmly that they probably forgot to install all the bolts. No no no that's not what I expected to hear. thier work put my life at risk ..... lesson always visual inspection of any work done ) always.
