Very competent and fair! Another shop messed up by swapping out lug nuts and the BMW dealership wanted to do major work to change the hub assemblies, but these guys were able to figure it out, clean it up, and didn’t charge me extra. Costco didn’t even want to touch it. So glad I came here instead.

Doug and Bryan and the entire team at Big Brand Tire & Service go the extra mile to meet your wheel and tire needs. I needed off road tires for my rock crawler jeep and they had them same day and even straightened out the beads on my used old stock wheels for me. I highly recommend them for factory brand tires and service on your vehicle in Monterey county.
Best shop ever! They did it again. Fast friendly free. When do you ever have those words together? When my tire is low my Benz just starts driving to these guys. They can help source a used rim. They sealed my hairline fracture and sent me on my way! They are the real deal. You got to love a family business. Everyone is smiling even if there is a bit of a wait because it’s worth it and we all get such personal incredible care.
I have frequented this establishment twice now. First for rotation of the tires and release of the nitrogen and replaced with air which is easier to fill your tires because all stations have air not nitrogen so more feasible. (They also checked the spare!) The second time I came in I noticed my pressure light was on my dash and thought it had something to do with the new air that was put in my tires, and low and behold it was a nail puncture! Immediate panic set in and then was relieved to find out that the tire could be patched! For both services I was not charged and when my tires are due for replacement which they did check the tread and I am not due yet, I will be back to purchase my tires from Big Brand Tire and service! Also my windshield wipers had been dragging and they were able to replace them and had them in stock. (I didn't have to go to the auto store and put them on myself). So convenient only cost $30. Very reasonable! Thank you BBT&S! I highly recommend Big Brand Tire and Service!
When the tire pressure icon appeared on my Subaru Outback dashboard, I took it into our mechanic. He made sure the proper amount of air was in each tire. When the icon continued to come on, he told me to take it to the Newton Brothers, now part of Big Brand Tire & Service. I called and was told to bring my car in an hour later. As our mechanic knew it would be, it was an issue with a sensor on one (or more) of the tires. Both Newton brothers were in the front where the waiting room is. It turned out to be a sensor on a rear tire. Work was done in less than an hour and the bill was very reasonable. While waiting, I spoke to one of the brothers about what kind of tires would be good when mine need replacing. When another sensor goes out, or my tires need replacing, I will definitely be returning to Big Brand Tire & Service!
Went to Big Brand Tire Service in Seaside today as a sensor came on regarding a tire issue. They sure know what customer service.., they took my car and checked to see if there was an issue. They handled the issue and had me back on the road.
I noticed a nail or screw had punctured my tire. I called and told they would work me in even though I didn’t have an appointment. They fixed me up in short order and I was on my way. I have and will continue to recommend this establishment.
They were honest about what the car needed, and more importantly, what it didn't. Very knowledgeable and friendly, and the work was finished when they said it would be. I strongly recommend Big Brand Tire!

I loved this place as Newton Bros and I continue to love it at Big Brand. So glad to see familiar faces and friendly new ones! Every time I need a patch (it’s normally free) or need new tires this is where I go-better than Costco and has a small town family feel. Highly recommend for your tire needs!
Great customer service on the phone and in person! QUALITY tires and work. I don't know if it's the tires they put on my car and the alignment, but my car has never felt so comfortable and quiet on the road! Reasonable prices, too!

The team at Big Brand Tire and Service are extraordinary. My new Sprinter van was showing a tire pressure issue and the Mercedes team had exhausted all of their resources. The Mercedes manager called Big Brand at 450pm and asked if they would take a look. They agreed even though they were to close at 5pm. Every person was kind even though they were staying late. They sorted it out and made the repair. Even though I live in Aptos and they are in Monterey, they will be my go to for tires from now on.
Big Brand Tire & Service purchased Newton Brothers in the summer of 2025. Different sales software and a different sign on the front of the business, but most everything else is the same, with most of the staff having stayed plus some new faces.
Curren up front was welcoming and helpful and was able to get my vehicle on jacks within just a few minutes for a set of fairly priced tires.
I had a several options of tires, so selection was good, even the top tier prices were lower than I'd seen posted for nearby locations, including the popular big box option nearby.

After being grossly overcharged for my back brakes, a friend recommended Newton Brothers Tire Service to install my new tires and replace my front brakes. The quote Dave Newton gave me was less than half what the other shop quoted! They accommodated my tight schedule and my car was ready surprisingly quick. But, what really stood out was when I picked up my car they said my front brakes didn’t need to be replaced yet, and that it would be an unneeded expense! My mouth dropped! The shop was very busy, but I was greeted and helped in a professional, courteous way. I never felt like I had to be wary as I have been when getting car repairs done in the past. This shop is fair, efficient, honest and friendly without fluff, which I don’t want to pay for anyway! There’s nowhere I will ever go again for my or my family’s tire or brake needs. It’s no wonder when you mention Newton Brothers, everyone responds with, “Oh, I love those guys!”
Everything you read in these reviews IS TRUE! These guys are the REAL DEAL. Old fashion focus on the customer. I ordered tires and arrived at 8am to be first in line! I left my car and walked to a local coffee shop and 1 hour later Dave called to say they could only find 1 of the 4 tires. I had an appointment and Dave offered me his car to drive to my appointment while they figured a way to get the tires and then install them by the time I got back. Who does that these days...??? Only the Newton Brothers.

Took our Aston in for a tire change to fix a slow leak after running over a nail. The owners were great and the technician was very professional. An efficient and courteous shop with good prices and a friendly atmosphere. Nice to have a place in town we can trust.
