Screw the recycling label in the bottles that shows it's recyclable lol. And they claim they got strict, you ment sensitive. But they will pay u 1cent for the scraps. Now that's convenient not at all manipulative.
Been saving up cans, bottles and scrap metal for a while and was able to bring it all here. There is a 100lb limit on plastic bottles and a 100lb limit on aluminum cans. Because I've never brought scrap to this location and I had a large amount, the redemption was put on a 3 day hold. Other than that, the staff is friendly and helpful, and they work fast.

Fast and friendly. Drive through type service. Be considerate of others and have your recycling separated before you come. I had roughly 15 30Gal bags and it only took 10 minutes at the most. They also sell handmade masks if you need an extra one. 5 bucks.
Ignore the negative comments.....great place to recycle your stuff....the crew is very nice.....with all the recycle places closed up around here they are greatly appreciated by me!
Worst experience came to sell cans and the worker was super rude one star worst place do not recommend coming here and they steal weight off cans there thieves
We are so glad that A&S is open! These people are so busy and still they are polite and very helpful. As an older person I certainly appreciate the service they offer and go away happy with an extra jingle in my pocket!
A&S quit selling metal to the public. This was a great way to recycle that benefited the community — both do-to-yourselfers and artists looking for scrap metal to be re-purposed or made into art. I don't believe A&S cares about the community or the customers that bring things in to be recycled. Go to Waste Management instead to recycle, they are faster and more friendly. I hope A&S reconsiders its decision and returns to selling to the public. They could mark up the price/pound, and pay an employee a good wage, plus make profit.
Rung me up for 4.61 lbs of Gatorade btls when it was 46.1. Shady. 46lb error? 14 bucks for 46 lbs should be noticed unless your skimming off the top. Just saying...
When I went here I had to wait in a line for close to an hour the employees were rude, and for the amount of recycling I brought I did not feel like I got my moneys worth! I'm never coming here again and I suggest if you have any recycling to go to the Marina dump. They have way better customer service.
I get money for my can.I get money for my bottle.I get money for my plasticables.No where to turn in my recycling around anywhere in Monterey ..Seaside...or Marina..that was giving incentive to people on the beaches and around those communities to help keep our beaches and surrounding areas cleaner...Now people just leave their trash lay more often than Not..I've Noticed the difference...And Heaven Forbid that the Cold..Starveing Homeless make a dollar or two to feed..cloth and keep themselves warm..and give some kind of mental feeling. Of self worth to go out and EARN what little they DO Recieve.Instead I guess they Will find some "OTHER " Way to make their Money for what they need..Oh Well the public says...We wont let them Sleep anywhere esides hidden in the weeds like animals..we pretend like they are not there...sometimes Walking within inches...as you pretend that they are Invisible......If That doesn't leave a mental scar..so keep those recycling redemtion stations far away so they cannot get there..Seems like It's Accomplishing alot of positives for those Rich ..Headstrong..I'm better than you are type sub-humans.AND THEIR Beautiful Safe Communities..so be prepared to hear (which is against the LAW Also)"Hey sir could you spare some change"" AND BY GOD YOU THINK REAL HARD BEFORE YOU PRETEND THAT THEY ARE NOT EVEN ALIVE AND SPEAKING...ASKING FOR....HELP.....You or one of your family may Actually sadly find YOURselves..DESPERATE FOR FOOD MONEY SHELTER...AND KINDNESS...Soooome......Day.

I have been taking my cans here for about 3 years now, prices are great for aluminium, along with all other plastics and glass. The services have always been fast and courteous. I have never waited more than about 20 minutes for service and was driving home paid within just over 30 minutes. I would and have recommended them to multiple people already over the years. Keep up the good work, I am a loyal customer here.
Dropped off a salvage vehicle. The girls at the counter were very hospitable and informative. The yard crew volunteered to assist in unloading my car from the trailer. Best $46 I earned for discarding my vehicle. Highly recommend.
I call the Salinas office how much proton. For mix Metals i didn't want a price on lb. So i call the Castroville office and they did something to. And both office put me hold didn't tell me i was going to be put on hold. Never back to me. Wow
