Great staff, very friendly, very knowledgeable and ready to help you with anything specific you need to have and the parts exact location and accurate numbers of the parts . They make the job easy and very affordable
While I am not a mechanic, I find working on my car to be somewhat intimidating. I greatly appreciate the staff at Merced's Pick-n-Pull for their excellent support and guidance. They provided me with not just the necessary car parts, but also the confidence and information I needed to successfully repair my vehicle. The Merced Pick n Pull is a great self service yard that has a very helpful and friendly staff. The yard is clean and well organized and the cars are full of good parts and not all picked over like the Fresno yards. This place is worth the trip from Fresno!
The worst part of my experience with this PNP is that it failed twice at picking up my vehicle at the scheduled dates. On the second scheduled date I called ahead of time to confirm the pick up during the window period of 12pm-4pm. I was told to call back if I didn't hear anything by 3pm. Which I did. I was then told that the driver had attempted to call me. As I had been told on the first scheduled pick up, but I never received any call or a voice-mail on either of the scheduled pick up dates. By the second failed pick up I was annoyed. Because I was told that the driver wouldn't be able to pick up my vehicle that day & to reschedule. I had been inconvenienced & had my personal time wasted twice. The following day I had the vehicle towed myself. So, if you sell your car to this company don't bother yourself with the hassle of scheduling a pick up. If your vehicle still runs drop it off yourself & if it doesn't run have it towed yourself if possible. To save yourself from wasting your on personal time on an incompetent service.
I'm not very good with fixing my vehicles, but I am so willing to learn the tricks and work in my cars myself. This establishment is a perfect learning ground for me. I love taking things apart.
I was told on Thursday night that I would get my car picked up at Saturday between 8am-12pm I got a phone call at 11:59am and I missed it I didn’t think they were coming and it’s my only day and so I was told you need to reschedule sorry that you miss your call ma’am! Never will I do business with them ever again.
Was new for me now they have iPad to register to go in to the yard I haven't been in here for a long time was good experience and something new they're friendly and great costumer service definitely I recommend this pick-n-pull
It's pick-n-pull, can't say much more than that. They're pretty much all the same. Only reason they didn't get 5 stars is because of the water pudeling right next to the access points of the cars. About 10% to 15% of the cars. Not to bad but they need to redistribute the gravel a little to eliminate the problem.
Had a car pick up appointment 8-12. didn't showed or call. Call them and said they were on their way ( 2pm). Never showed. Called manager ( offer call back). Never happened. Re schedule next sunday . Called them to be sure. Never showed or called once again. Called them and said no manager will fix it and tow drivers decide wether to pick it or not. Or re-schedule.
So, over the course of an average year, I end up visiting and buying thousands of dollars in parts from PNP. I have to say, this one is the worst. The selection of vehicles and whats left on them is shameful for how big the yard is. Out if 3 cars I came to pick from, none if them were in the row indicated on the website. And one was completely burnt out, with literally zero salvageable parts. So I just go on my way, empty handed, and figure it was just bad timing? But the next day I had to return to retrieve a small part (bmw cam sensor) that i needed for a car i was picking up/ flipping from Merced, back to Oakland. And that, was my worst experience ever, by far, at any PNP, in 30 years, in going to every PNP in the state. i will leave as another review to follow,. As it deserves its own disgraceful place in these reviews.
It was good spot couldn't find a 1990 mustang no were and got what I needed hear at a reasonable price also Cruz on the streets people's are sailing part's for gold prices thank pick in pull
$53 for an exhaust manifold and a dip stick , not bad pricing considering what found used on line . Lot is clean and level and a good amount of selection . Will go there again when I need too .
We got a claim on our tahoe, and were able to take it in and drop it off same day. Absolutely amazing customer service, both quick and friendly, and they were even busy during our transaction. Earned my repeat buiesness for sure. Thanks again to the crew for taking great care of us.
Made multiple calls for past few days now since I live hours away and don't want to waste gas to a car that isn't there anymore or not having the parts I came for but nobody answer the phone. I feel like I wasted my time to reach out for them, if the one in my area have the car and parts I am looking for I wouldn't have waste my time in the one in Merced. Bad customer services.
Good if your trying to save a few bucks plus prices there are much cheaper than your local Auto parts store unless your ordering from Ebay. Only bad part is taking things off lol but other than that good selection of cars and you can go on their website beforehand to check if your vehicle is there or anything compatible
Came down from Sonora. We found many things for a 1996 Volvo. The employees were very helpful and kind. Pick-n-Pull was organized and detailed oriented in specific items. They have computers to direct your destination. Very helpful to help you with your special projects. Thank you for Blessing us with kindness and special hospitality. Amen
Thought the same year, model would be the same or similar match. Now the type from an EX to an LX on accords, like the front blinker light covers and the inner door handles do not match. Totally different. Something new to remember.
They think there parts are covered in gold. What I needed the didn't have but I was able to find a hose clamp I needed it was 50 years old and in okay shape they wanted $5. The day before I purchased a pack with 20 clamps in it for $4.99
I was a little upset but some of it was my fault. I pulled a part and couldn't pay. My bank had deemed that identity theft occurred. I went back immediately the next day n the part I pulled wasn't there. I also found out the the warranty is only valid if you have the receipt which they didn't tell me. I had left mine in a different car. Overall the the people and service are great and has a nice yard.
Easy access when coming from the freeway (if from out of town) Decent sized parking lot, HUGE yard full of automobiles, decent prices asked.
(Compared to dealerships/stores) the only minor complaint would be the kind of material a person walks on (2-4 inch med. sized smooth rocks) when searching the selection of cars. if you have difficulty walking in general or specifically on uneven terrain it could be an issue to think of.
Also it's a little slippery if you are there during or after recent rainfall.
Highly organized,came at a perfect time for Americans who need replacement auto parts but couldn't afford new ones.I am a local mechanic who relies on Pic n Pull for parts to earn a living for my family.Employees are given the chance to climb the ladder to management positions.Care is given to customers in the shape of hand washing machines,wheelbarrows,and restrooms.Yards are maintained to prevent personal injuries.A well thought out franchise.
Bring water and snacks for the wait while he removes what he wants, and an umbrella to stay out of the sun. The yard is very hot. They can look up the cars on their computer and tell you where it is in the yard. There are some soda machines in the shop. They have running cars for sale for cheap, too. You have to pay to get into the yard, but you get your hand stamped and can go back in that day. Prices are good for used car parts.
Look I get it it's hot you guys don't really want to talk to anyone I'm the same at my work place. But damn dude told me he's gonna go get a price for some rims. Never came back. Saw him joking around with other coworkers. Had me standing there waiting for the price. I would've bought them that day but I'll take my business else where I guess.
