This was a garbage dump before. Now it’s a transfer station. I waited in the vehicle line. They then looked at my junk and said how much it would cost based on the size of waste. I paid and they directed me to where I would drop off my junk.
Super helpful people and centrally located for people on the mendocino coast, the prices are 46.50 per cubic yard of garbage, no rim tires 6.50 each, rim tires 9 each, prices go up for larger tires, TVs, car batteries, and up to 20 gallons of motor oil and E-waste are all free, Wood/ Mixed Organic waste and Scrap Metal are 19.75 per cubic yard as of November 19th 2024.
I am a roofing contractor in Fort Bragg. The system they have here requires an appointment to dump roofing materials. Some times it can take 3 or more days to dump a trailer load. This has resulted in not being able to conduct business. They need a better system!
One of the cleanest transfer stations I've been to. The staff are friendly as can be. They accept scrap recycling and electronics at no charge. They only take green waste as garbage, so take your lawn clippings some where else.
They don't pay for recycled cans or bottles; the Waste Management facility on Pudding Creek road handles all that stuff.
