Got my truck towed by Redondo Beach PD they said they wouldn't put a hold, they lied put a 30 day hold. They thought they got me for one thing and it didn't pan out so they found something to write a ticket. And to top it off my 30 day isn't even up and they are sending papers for a lien sale. Talk about jumping the gun. You better believe I will be getting my vehicle.
After getting all paying expense fees transfer bill of sale just got the truck dead beat loser neighbors had gotten truck towed tow yard did not give me copies back trying to still get my registration I lost the registration not my neighbors any more i moved they still live there IL be watching for them
I purchased a vehicle from someone that purchased it through Frank Scotto Towing. This person lied about the vehicle details and did not give the original documents from the sale. I contacted Frank Scotto Towing in an effort to get these documents (with an open investigation through the DMV and the local police department) and they refused to help me, refuse to supply me with the documents, or even point me in the direction of any help. When I informed them that they are selling vehicles to people who turn around and sell them with false information (leaving Frank Scotto Towing in the middle) they told me there's nothing they can do and that if the people come with money, they will sell them the vehicles. Frank Scotto Towing does not care if people get ripped off or hurt because of their careless vehicle sales, and refuse to be even the slightest bit helpful. They are by proxy helping thieves and con artists and I will never come to them for my business. If you are looking for honest people and an honest company, I suggest you stay away.
You may see ONE star...... But in reality it's ZERO stars for this place. Unfortunately my car was impounded. When I retrieved my car back, several of items were missing out of my vehicle. It's too sad and too bad and very unfortunate that a well established and well known business, privately owned and managed by a hard working family that also happens to be apart of our police enforcement has a batch of dishonest employees representing their business.
Charged 800 dollars for towing and storage on a car that I junked with them after it got totaled in an accident. Why do I have to pay storage costs on a car that YOU are buying (for almost nothing, even though it had plenty of useful parts on it still) Scam of a company only still in business because the PD forces you to go through them instead of your preference

On October 19, 2019 this company in conjunction with city of Redondo Beach impounded one of my cars that I was not using and that had expired registration. My property was taken without due process of law and in violation of my Fourteenth Amendment rights to not have my property taken without due process of law. I went to the Redondo Beach police Department and they do not even have a free administrative process by which one can ask for a hearing to get his property back. On the other hand, Frank Scotto Towing has been sending me documents and calling me trying to get me to release ownership interest in the vehicle so that they can lien sale it. I consider all this predatory and extortionate business practices and I plan to take legal action against all parties involved.
I'm not gonna lie, I've had my issues which brought me here thru my own fault, and also as a result of being victimized by car thieves or retributative law enforcement. Through it all, Frank Scotto and its associates have been polite, considerate, accommodating and fair, within their appointed duties and abilities. I certainly don't enjoy supporting them financially however it's never their fault that I'm there.
Major rip off, stealing money from customers, price having, and unfair prices

Hard to believe that Hermosa Beach is contracting with this company.
If your car is towed close to Frank Scotto's Towing office's closing hours, this company has proven to: charge you for both after hour service charge ($$$), then enforce an policy that requires that your rental car have proof of vehicle registration even after speaking with the local branch manager of the rental agency (by the way, Enterprise doesn't provide proof of vehicle registration with its rental cars).
Currently, left without a vehicle until Monday, suspect that the Frank Scotto's Towing storage fees will be nothing less than draconian ($$$).
Hermosa Beach is this the kind of company that you want to be associated with?
My car was towed from a restaurant parking lot.I was charged a 2 hour wait fee from the driver supposedly because he was waiting for the police officer to write up the car. Doesn't make sense.Also I wasn't even at the restaurant for two hours. Scam!!!!
The girl at the front was nice. We had a car get totaled and impounded in the family. Originally we were just going to give it to frank scotto because we just didn't want to deal with it. So when we went In to the yard to clean out personal belongings from the vehicle, they said we had 15 minutes to do so. And we were accompanied by a seemingly nice man named Julio who persisted to watch our every move while we were back in the yard. I totally understand this because they want to make sure we don't steal things from other people's cars. No problem. But as we were getting personal property from the vehicle I decided that the jack and crowbar is also personal property so I took it out and put it with our other belongings (keep in mind that we were giving the vehicle to frank scotto, and we were not expecting a red cent for it I return. But as soon as Julio noticed that I had taken the jack out and that I had planned to take it with us, he had a big problem with this. "No,no that is part of the car, you cannot take that!" He demanded.., I replied, " listen Julio, we are GIVING you this vehicle for free. You guys will be making 100% profit off of whatever you decide to do with it. So I will take whatever I want from this vehicle." His panties were in a bunch after that comment and now all the sudden he doesn't speak or understand any English, and he is rushing our 15 minutes . In the end we did not give it to frank scotto and his employees, we towed it out of there and sold it to pick your part. HEY JULIO, NOW YOU GOT NADA!!!!!! DO YOU COMPRENDO THAT? HAHA
THERE IS NO COINCIDENCE THAT FRANK SCOTTO SITS ON CITY COUNCIL AND GETS AWAY WITH THE OUTRAGEOUS PRICE GOUGING THAT HE DOES. WHAT A DEPLORABLE HUMAN BEING. HE SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF HIMSELF AND THE HARDSHIP HE CAUSES THE CITIZENS HE CLAIMS TO REPRESENT.
I have used them three times so far. Twice for my BMW and once for my Mini. Both times for the BMW they showed up promptly at the car and asked for my keys. I barely had to do any work. Once for the BMW I needed it towed to Long Beach BMW, I was not with the car but I told the driver that the key was in the car. He took the car to Long Beach BMW, dropped it off, signed off the keys to my service adviser and left. I barely had to do a thing! Today, on the 27th of August I made a request for my Mini to be towed to South Bay Mini at 7:00a.m. My ETA was 8:02. The driver did not arrived until 8:25 but the dispatcher called me explaining the situation. The driver apologized for being late! I love this company! I am very happy that they are apart of BMW/Mini.

Awful employees, metal debris all over their lot , I didn't want to destroy my tires so I asked if they could move what was blocking my car, they told me to move it myself. So on top of getting 300 from me to retrieve my vehicle, they got their mess cleared by me as well.
After having a very bad day with the police where my car was unjustly towed. I had tothen deal with Very rude employees at Scotto Towing. Would have expected more from the former Mayor of Torances business.
This company is very horrible . I have been waiting for 3 hours . Every time I call they say the driver will be there in 20 minutes and say he got caught up with another customer before me. They used the same excuse every time . If that was the case why did the receptionist keep saying they were on their way and will be at my location in 20 minutes .! They are a complete lie & I would never recommend this company to anyone ! I'm waiting out in this horrible heat for 3 hours . Probably will be out here for another hour until they get here .
loved that your drivers consider other people. waited 20 minutes for your driver to move so i could park in my driveway after a 14 hour shift today. :) man was i over joyed. he blocked my street when he could have dropped the car on a straight street but no he cut off the circle where i needed to go. i waited thinking the car could not be operational but nope started up and drove away. thank you so much for making my day better thank you to the short little fatty who sat and talked for a bit with the girl whom the car belonged to instead of moving your truck.
Hate this place they literally justb pulled my car in from being towed and before they even set it down off the flatbed the lady said it would cost 325$
Worst towing company ever. Customer service was incredibly rude. After waiting 2 hours for them to come, the woman from customer service called to cancel for no reason. When I asked for an explanation, she hung up on me. I had 3 children with me, including an infant and they just told me "too bad." It was 6:30 at night and would be getting dark soon. They are strangely unsympathetic and profoundly unprofessional.
If I could give zero stars I would. This company was late and each time we called to get an updated arrival time we were told they were almost there. Finally they arrived, the driver spent 20 minutes trying to unlock the vehicle, got his tool stuck in our passenger window and finally ended up hooking up the car for towing the way he should have initially. He towed the car to the dealership, spent another 20 minutes trying to get his tool out, was paid and we left the car to get a key made. Once we left, the driver shattered our passenger window, he wouldn't let the dealership fix it (as they offered), he did not call us to inform us he shattered our window (as he told the dealership he would). We picked up our car from the dealership, saw the shattered window, called the towing company and were told repeatedly they couldn't do anything and we could try calling back Monday. We are fronting the money to fix their mistake and, based on the horrendous customer service and appalling behavior thus far, I can only hope they care enough about future business to try to repair the damage they have created. This is our only car large enough to transport all our kids and our whole weekend (and trying to get our youngest who is sick to the doctor) is now immeasurably more difficult and it is all completely unnecessary and only the result of compounding poor service with negligence. Please don't ever use this towing company. They were recommended to us by the Honda Dealership which also reflect poorly on the dealership in my opinion.
