I had a great experience with this tow yard! I ran into an issue with a car I purchased and had been going back and forth trying to get it resolved, but no one was able to help me — until Alex stepped in. He went above and beyond to assist me and was able to get the issue resolved with the DMV . I really appreciate his patience and professionalism. Towed my car. In MY PARKING. I’ve been parking in the same spot and I’ve been renting for a year now. I am currently having a hardship at their time. For them to get my car at this time makes it really hard and it was in my OWN designated parking spot. Nobody else but me would call a tow truck to get the car parked in my spot. Charging me for service I am already paying for. I also see many vehicles without perments just parked in our parking lot. They do not get towed. Worst service. Worst of all, the pay is crazy.
This is the worst towing service in history, they illegally towed my car during the day against signage. The Ralph’s parking lot sign states no parking over night but not in the day . It also says if your a customer you have two hours in which to park there. I frequent the Ralph’s often and only went into my hours for a short amount of time to get my belongings then shop before work when I returned my car was gone ! Wrong time of day they don’t care I’m an actual customer they don’t care $344 to pay I’m reporting them to the authorities. These individuals should be ashamed they are thieves and act like parasites . I’ll pray for them to repent of their evil ways !
They conveniently and strategically put up one sign in the whole parking lot shared by dd’s discount and planet fitness in Hawthorne all other signs say dd’s discount on them except for that one single sign that happens to be in front of the planet fitness building right before the building end but apparently the building property line and the parking line don’t correlate. Pictures with red highlights are to show our parking spot the end of the building and the sign in front of where we parked and also to show that the pole doesn’t have a sign yet the other pole in the lot does. All the workers and the manager said why did I do based on that single sign which I replied because that’s the sign I parked in front of there’s no reason to care for the other signs that clearly say dd’s on them and one worker has the nerve to say if all the other signs say DD’s then logically you would know you can’t park there which I said logically if your company put up all the signs and all the other ones say DD’s why did your company choose Not to put up a sign that says DD’s in the specific spot and only that one. Point is they couldn’t explain why I’m convinced it’s strategic to get people to park there and make money from the tows the worker said it himself people get towed from there all the time cuz they get confused and yet they haven’t changed that sign and I’m certain that even after all the workers heard me ask the manager to change that sign they still won’t change it cuz they’re making good profit from that scam. I have videos but apparently it won’t let me post them.
This towing company sucks! I honestly don't want to leave a star but I have no choice otherwise I won't be able to leave a comment. When I moved here, the manager informed me that unauthorized and illegal parking are only getting towed by Manager's request and that we cannot just call a towing company ourselves. So tell me why this towing company just drove in our building and started towing cars without the manager's knowledge? The manager clearly stated to me that this was the agreement between her and towing company supervisor- Manager needs to make the request call and sign the towing form. But one of Mr. C's driver, just came and dragged one of the cars out from the building.
$436 dollars for parking in a closed connected Auto Zone parking lot in Long Beach while at Alex's bar next door. Then on the phone told if I didn't pick up today I would be charged another 78 dollar storage fee tommarow. Highway Robbery CA need to pass consumer protections laws against these tow companies
Unfortunately got my car towed and they made horrible efforts to tow my vehicle safely now I have damage underneath the front of the vehicle scratched up oil pan plastic cover underneath was dragging cracked tail light this is unbelievable this is the last thing I want to come back to after spending a lot of money to be able to get my car out
So these guys patrol the mobile home park I live at and let me start by saying the new manager and lil helper she hired are ridiculous and unprofessional. They have towed a lot of cars that barely park for 5 min. I think the crazy part is that one of you guys followed me from flower and Downey all the way to bellflower tail gating me for no reason. I have my own parking space so following me outside of the premises is out of line. I don’t care what personal issue the managers in my area have but it’s not for them to send one of their tow truck drivers to follow me . Do that shit again and your looking at a law suit.
My vehicle was towed from my condo in Bellflower on 6/29/2025, despite me being present and asking the driver to stop — which they ignored, in violation of California law (§22658). The towing company claims my vehicle was blocking a fire lane, but the sign they relied on is 112 feet away from my parking spot and barely visible, while the faded sign near my condo is only 10 feet away. I emailed Mr. C’s Towing multiple times to request a refund and received no response. Extremely unprofessional, and I’m taking legal action.
this company is likely scamming people. they allegedly drove to the wrong address (my apartment complex) and started towing cars that were parked in our parking lot LEGALLY. they waited outside our garage gate for someone to leave it open and snuck onto our property and committed GRAND THEFT AUTO by towing cars illegally. thankfully they didn’t tow my partners car so we still had a mode of transportation to go and pick up my car from their lot. this place looks extremely sketchy, with a window that does not allow you to see the employees faces or what they’re doing. after calling out for help for several minutes, we had to knock loudly on their door for someone to start helping us. we did not have to pay any fees since this again, was an illegal towing, however if my property manager hadn’t dealt with the owner of this company I can imagine they could have tried to extort us. they also did not provide me with a copy of the receipt or any proof of this happening, which is again, very sketchy. I will be contacting the Better Business Bureau and be seeking legal action as this company is performing unlawful towing.
This company is a fraud. They towed my car after being parked for 10 minutes in a hour parking tow. They wouldn’t give me a refund and made me pay full price to take out my car for being parked there for 10 minutes!! The Woman who was in charge of dispatch, was very rude and unhelpful. Instead of providing reassurance and valuable information, she caused more distress!
Car got towed today from my lady, the tow truck was there with in 3 minutes of the cop pulling over the car. They are involved with cops, and probably get a kick back from the city for it, COMPANY NEEDS TO BE INVESTIGATED ASAP INVOLVED WITH OFFEICER RODRIGUEZ
This place is a hot mess. They would not tell me who told my car they would not tell me if they tow it from the front and back they lied about going in my car which they went through and searched it. I’m about to report him to a better business bureau and the state of California and any other agency I can to get their license revoked for lying about the tow and also their employees refusing to identify themselves by name.
I would give 0 star if I could. I have my parking permit active, parked at the designated area and they still towed my car. They said you have no visible parking permit. It was on the window, how do I know if you didn’t take it so you can tow my car to make money? My theory is they were too lazy to double check. When I called them, they were rude and told me no way to get our car unless we pay. Fair enough, we will see you at the small claim. Very shady people, can’t believe they exist in the world.
Women who work there were very helpful and curtious I payed my fees got my paperwork in about 15 minutes but the men who are supposed to to bring your car out are just playing in the back wasting time I waited over an hour for my car to come out the gate was opening over and over again I could clearly see my car parked back there and thee men were just standing around doing nothing when they finally broughtbit out they had hit my car and left scratches all over the side my car had only been there a few hours very careless workers they need to get organized or get new workers to bring the cars out regardless of the situation we are still paying customers
My car had a 30 day hold on it from the CHP. I need some stuff from my car. When I checked on my car I was pleased to see that my car was inside the building. They let me remove my belongings no problem. The situation why my car was towed in the first place was completely my fault. As far as Mr.C’s I feel that they did a great job storing my car. The fee’s were hi but they are running a business and again it’s my fault that the car ended up there. The Older guy that works there is pretty a pretty cool dude. Life goes on…
My car was stolen on January 8, 2025, on January 12th I received a call from the police that my car was found. It was totaled and completely gutted. I did retrieve my Metro Fast Track monitor, thank God for small favors. The car was at Mr C's Tow.
Bad experience! My car was stolen and they wouldn't let me see it because according to them I needed a release form from the police department. For any one information you only need a release if your car is impounded if your car was stolen it's only being stored there you don't need a police release. It was a weekend before we were able to get everything clarified and they still wanted to charge us the two extra days it was stored due to their mistake.
PLEASE READ TILL END, I was parked in Lynwood park you know going for a run it was 10:34 when I parked there the run took less than 10 minutes and I come back and the car is not there. There is a sign that says no over night parking something about no parking between 6am to 10pm which clearly there was a lot of people already parked. LISTEN TO WHAT IAM ABOUT TO SAY, this people are smart they see when you get of the car so they can tow your car. This people are undercover they call the tow truck when you leave so they can tow it. IF your car got TOWED ggs it happens but this people are on a different level of scamming.
I would not call this company to tow anything. The truck I saw today on the 405 South cut off several people to get to an accident, almost causing one themselves. Then they parked in the Fast Trac lane to talk to cops who already already had a tow truck there. Then the cop had to tell this ambulance chaser to move so the rest of traffic can drive. That same truck then proceeded to go so slow they almost caused another accident. After that the truck sped up to cut everyone off again to get to an exit where I'm guessing they made more bad decisions. This was the most reckless driving I've ever seen. Was this driver drunk?
The girl cause she not a woman she cant even put a sentence together is very rude! All of the worker are incompetent. They tow your car on a forklift. It was cars side by side where my car got scratched! Owe and they lie about the fees! They mark them up on how you talk to them!
They will tow your car even if you’re sitting inside McDonald’s having lunch with your family. They are doing this to innocent people and holding their cars or trucks hostage unless you pay $400. They need to be investigated by law enforcement.
My husband put on my wrong handicap sign on the window or the mirror I should say and the idiots took our car and I was inside the swap meet when they took the car so they didn't even bother to wait to see he owned the car or anything like that. He just ripped it off the plasma Mexico because the damn security guards called call them just to steal your car. So be aware people. If you do not put the correct handicap sign on your car you will get your car towed away. So be aware. Oh and they even messed up the body so and I can't get my money back or nothing like that because the idiots they don't care about senior citizens. They don't care about disabled people the need to park their car when there's idiots that aren't even legal to park there and they park there. I've seen places people get out of cars and don't even put their signs up and they still take their cars so they deserve it. But my husband put on the wrong placard and that's what happened. So no, I will not give this place these people the decency they stole $300 from two senior citizens who are on Social Security.
Went after 5pm to pick up my car after being towed in a no park zone after calling with vague details of my car, only described Make, Model and color. Person on phone was nice in telling address of towing company. Once arrived person who went by JR poked fun of me for it being my birthday after friends indicated it was. Laughed that I had my car towed on my birthday and then asked all my friends to pitch in to pay for it. Didn’t make sense because they only do one card payments? Im not sure if he was trying to humiliate me or turn my friends against me by insulting them but dang. I showed him my ID showing my birthday and then laughed happy birthday I asked him if I could see a photo or if I could confirm my license plate and he refused insisting that he towed my car, I have never met this guy in my life, how would I know he towed my car. Told him I would report it as stolen, and finally showed me a picture of my car, told me to come back next morning. I came back in the morning to pick up my car, went by smoothly, tow guy who brought out the car seemed friendly and smiled. I get that the industry sucks and people are going to hate you for towing your car but you also applied for that job what do you expect? Dam you don't have to shove all that hate in everyone you see. Other Towing companies can be a hassle but at least they are reasonable about it, and offer assistance.
My family and I went to McDonald’s 12-2-23 and when we came out our car was no longer there. We thought our car got stolen and we went inside to tell the manager and the manager said cars get towed in THEIR parking lot. She advised us to call the number and we did. We had to ask another family member to pick us up and drive us to South Gate so we can pick our car up. Fortunately we had the McDonald’s receipt and since it was within the time frame the car got picked up we did not pay to get the car out of the lawn.
Shame on Mr. C’s towing in South Gate! It’s unbelievable that you guys think it’s okay to pick up cars without even knowing for sure if it’s a McDonald’s customer or not!
Looking over these reviews is confirmation of my unfortunate experience dealing with this company. To this day I'm still discovering items that have been removed from my vehicle when it was improperly towed and stored at their location. I suggest anyone who has to deal with these guys to retrieve their vehicle, carefully check through and document all your possessions because it's pretty much guaranteed something will go missing. Don't let them use the excuse the cops took it when the car was tagged for towing. I also wasn't aware that disassembling a vehicle to tow it was necessary these days nor was I aware that all the paperwork for the car, tools and parts needed to be removed, under the guise the police took it.
