These guys have worked on my Porsche now for a couple years and they’ve done a great job!

It was a trust worthy expirience, nothing short of incredible! Before taking to Santa Monica Autoworks I drove the BMW to this shop at west of Sepulveda blvd half a block south of Venice blvd. Across from Carls Junior. After spending money and more than 4 months to fix a shifting problem, they diagnose the car as “the best thing to do is junk this car, it will not and cannot be started again”. The car had wires hanging under the dash steering column covers on the seats etc. “Misery” does no describe enough. I told them not to touch any longer and called AAA to have the car sent to Santa Monica Autoworks. Immediately I could see the difference from the start. They told me what was wrong with car, what it was needed, and how much it was going to cost. They also suggested a phased approach, “First things first”. They not only got the car started but also fixed a series of other issues. They even made some recommendation of things that can wait. Their professionalism, honesty, and care for the details and the work they do is bar none! There are very few mechanic shops that you can trust, Santa Monica Autoworks e definitely up there among the best!!!!

These guys did great work and helped me navigate the nightmare of getting special parts from Audi. It was a long process but they got the parts, did quality work installing them, and I'm happy to be back on the road! Highly recommend Brian and the team.

10/10 shop! Very nice, polite, trustworthy, fair. I’ve been here multiple times and in addition to the soft skills and great customer service, the extensive knowledge and attention to detail is also in the quality of their work. Just dropped my car off and they gave me the red carpet treatment. Took me in right away, already started looking at the problem while I was in the bathroom (very clean by the way) and proactively started ordering parts and sent me on my way, super fast check in. Cheesy detailed review I know but sometimes you have to give a business credit! Amazing cars at this shop as well. I have an old Macan, definitely not as nice as everything else and they still treat me great. Seems silly but it’s cool that my shop has some of the nicest cars going to them.

I took my BMW X5 in for a major repair and couldn’t be more satisfied with the work performed. Brian and the team were courteous and professional. Communication was excellent and I highly recommend them for any repair needs.

Love this place. I was recommended by a friend. I drove in without an appointment. Within minutes Brian was available and diagnosed what was wrong with my car. He took the time to explain to me the issue in detail which was a plus. He quoted me a price and a time in which the work would be completed. He kept his word, my car was fixed and serviced on time and no added costs to the quote. I found my new mechanic shop. Thank you Brian and your mechanics. I am very pleased…no more dealership for me. Brought my E39 M5 with "mushy" brakes (car had been sitting for 9 months). Brett and Brian diagnosed the problem within a few hours. Parts showed up sooner than expected and within a week I was back on the road. Definitely coming back!!

Brian and Ozzie and their entire team (including Buddy) turned what started as a nightmare Friday into a long term relationship. Of course the dealer told me I needed everything and the kitchen sink. One call to a former mechanic (who specializes in a different brand) pointed me to Santa Monica Autoworks. They listened, gave me the total cost and timing of brakes, and offered to help me deal with getting a rental car (Midway was also amazing). I thought it might be too good to be true but – the truth is – it was even better. I thought my car would be ready on Monday so I was ecstatic to get a call from Brian that it would be ready on Saturday. They are the real deal. Real people who have been doing this for 20+ years on the same corner in Santa Monica. Hoping that my car won't need service but, in the event that it does, it's great to now have trusted team. And, not once did anyone ask me to write a review!!!!

Here at SM Autoworks I found integrity, communication, flexibility, and quality...what else would you want from an auto shop. Plus Buddy (the dog) really runs the place and he'll keep you company.

My first Benz was kept in top shape by the team at Santa Monica Autoworks going back to 1999. Now they keep my BMW in top form. I would never consider going anywhere else because I know when I get my car back from these experts that the problem is fixed and was done so at a very fair price for this quality of auto repair. Plus they are great guys with a nice sense of humor. You can rest easy when you bring your car here that you are going to be treated right.

I use Brian and the guys for all my cars. I’ve been coming here for years and have German cars that I don’t trust just anyone with my cars. These guys have their stuff together. They email you invoices before getting started so you know exactly what’s advised and what it costs. The work never takes long and they take all cards. I’m always happy when I leave them and that’s not usual for a car shop. They’re locally owned and the culture is genuine and authentic. They’re not faking it. They love their work and it shows. They get busy during the week and are closed on weekends. They do walk ins but appointment is best if you don’t want to have to leave the car overnight.

These guys are the best! They go over and beyond to take care of my car. They are very friendly and helpful. They have always been very fair on the price and always confirm with you before doing any work. They take the time to explain to you what is going on in your car and what to think about in the future. 5 Stars and a big fan. They are the best in town.

They were so helpful and friendly. They charged me almost 8X LESS than BMW dealership would for the same job. It was a smaller job so they were able to help me out right away. I was in and out within 10 mins. Definitely coming back for any other repairs needed for my car.
