I tried to make excessive profits by classifying the expensive Brass scrap ($3.28/lbs) into some B-grade and applying the aluminum price ($0.35), so I brought it back home.
I been going there for 10 years and I really like the employees there very friendly and helpful with ur recycle they teach u how to sort them out too which always good to learn they also give coupons for cans which always helpful. Also it very clean and orgainized i really like the employees there very hard working men and they like family since they know my family and my children since there were babies they give out candy lolipops for kids which is awesome and so sweet the lady in the office is such a nice lady everytime i come which great customer service
We’ve been going here for years and have noticed a significant decrease in what they pay out. To be fair they do a good job of helping separate the recycling and making the over all experience ok. When I noticed that they were paying out less I started separating things myself weighing it prior to going and on average they were only paying out 20% of the actual weight we were bringing in.
Just as I expected, look at these terrible reviews. Went there today. I had a strong feeling I should have went somewhere else. When I saw my receipt, I was like WTH!? I had a huge oven and a water heater. Just don’t go here. I remember there used to be a nice Asian lady there. That was when it was nice. Today I was assisted by a man who apparently lied about being the new owner. This place used to actually be a step above the rest. Now it seems as if this place is in a decline.
Hernandez employee was very loud , rude & disrespectful to my wife . Very unprofessional employee to have working at a business. Tony is always friendly
We've been coming here for years.. we loved it, workers were nice and it was close too.
However, it seems like the ownership changed recently. We used to get about $80-90 per visit. This time, we even took way more but they paid us $45. Definitely a ripoff. So we will be going to a different place now. I'm sure many customers will do the same.
Avoid this place.
Take any copper elsewhere, I brought in close to 400 lb of Cat6 data cable they paid like less than 50 cents per pound. There's other spots that are doing 1.25 to $1.40

Service was good. But definitely very much underpaid. They are still paying around 5cents per bottle, and only about 1 cent for cans. I brought in 20+ cans, only got paid 20 cents. If it is a long drive for you, or you only have a few, may be save the trip.
Got tricked by fake reviews. They offered 30% the price of other recyclers and even told me good luck on getting better prices. FYI my worst luck was wasting gas and time on a trip to this place since everywhere else pays 3x their price!
I don't know what that lady was talking about but I've been going there for years and it's always well staffed and clean the people are very friendly and helpful. One more thing I have never seen broken glass anywhere without someone taking care of it
These guys are great they walk up to my truck every time and empty the bed of my truck I don't even have to lift a finger I just collect the money that's why they deserve definitely deserve a nice tip... Thank you very much guys
Organized, fast service, crew are fair & nice. My advice to all customers, sort your scraps before you proceed & don't mix your unnecessary trash from home but only recyclables.
Dishonest estimates/Be aware
I brought in three huge bags of aluminum cans, glasses, and all accepted recyclables in February this year. These bags were so heavy I could barely carry them myself being a lady petite built. He place the sorted cans and glasses etc on the scales, I never got to see the weighted numbers they were facing his side. Hidden was never showed me the weights. After all, I was only given $10 for all the three large bags of recyclables I brought in. Anybody with common sense and experience would know they cheated for giving such low amount for the quantities I brought in.
Will not be coming back to this place. I will be taking my hard accumulated recyclables elsewhere to people business whom deserve my trust and loyalty.
The staff there is wonderful! We had so many cans and bottles we had to make three trips. Everyone there was friendly, helpful and efficient! The cashier, Linda came out to greet us...she thanked us for choosing their business and asked us to come back. We will certainly return!
Its always a well run business. But, you need to know when its less crowded. We went on a Saturday morning between 9 and 9:30. We were the only car there. Had a super great employee helping us sort through the different glass types. By the time we were through with the sorting and weighing, the parking lanes were full. Great place to take your recyclables. They also give you a coupon for aluminum cans which gives you a nickle more per pound. Yeah, it all adds up. Keep recycling!!
Was a first timer at this center so I arrived early before "the rush" on Sunday to get acclimated with their process. Was immediately greeted warmly upon arrival and staff was very kind and helpful with answering questions and loading recyclables into bins! Was in and out with 10 bags of cans/bottles within 5-10 minutes. I've found my new go-to recycling center! Bit of caution though, as always watch where you're driving as there could be glass shards/bottle caps on the ground.
Excellent! Was Pleased the process was organized & orderly. Team work with the Courteous Employees dumping cans as I opened & handed the full bags. Grateful they dragged containers to Sal. To process weights & totals on receipt. Plus the kind & friendly Grand Lady & Gentleman at the cash window. Both are always so thorough with a smile. Thx to all. You run a tight ship!
This place used to be the best but guess they are skimming off a lot more now. I typically get $12-15 on 3-6 months worth of recycling and I only got $18 on about 18 months worth of recycling here. Was charged a tare weight for aluminum of 8.6 on gross if 13.3. This was on a holed basket weighting no more than 2lbs. Tare 11.3 on gross of 16.3 on #1 PET. These are 65% and 62% tare respectively, meaning they skimmed probably 30-50% of what they should have paid out. Estimated loss of close to double what I should have gotten for 6 large bags worth of CRV. Beware.
Never an issue here. Roll up and unload your stuff. If you need help, there is always someone there and they work for tips.
Sometimes the line can be long, be patient. It moves quicker when they have a second person at the other scale.
First time here today. Staff was very helpful and courteous. Jose helped me empty my recyclables and sort into containers. There is good directional signage , and clearly posted instructions. Hard to find a place to recycle CRV anymore. This place is a gem.

The place was expanded to accommodate more vehicles and area to maneuver. Nice.

I used to visit the trailer recycling centers that usually have 1 employee doing manual recycling and two self-check out recycling machines.
This place typically has 4-5 employees helping customers sort their recycling into bins
And then one employee weighing everyones bins and ringing them up.
On a busy hour, it can take up to 45min to get through the lines and what not.
On a non busy hour, you can be done easily in 20 min or less.

I have always separated my recycling, glass by color and plastic. I only take whst has crv to make sure I get paid for all I bring. This last time the guy there wouldn't let me put into cans . He filled a total of 10 barrels, mind you all my water bottles were smashed also cans. One years worth of collecting. I go to get paid and they didn't put coupon towards pay and only received 47.00 bucks for what I usually would get 100.00 or over. I get home and realize they put down half of what I took as non crv, so didn't get paid for half. I know think that's why guy helps put into barrels so they know to pay you half. It's a rip off scam they are doing there. Never happened before and always asked for drivers license but not this time. Watch out if you go and don't allow them to help you. I have learned my lesson! Just when you think someone is being helpful!
