Complaint 1: ( 2 hour wait time )
This location is poorly managed. I had to wait in line for 2 hours.
If you value your time, just buy your part on ebay. You have 2 cashiers that are extremely slow, 1 cashier didn't appear to know their job very well, the cashier is heard asking the other employee confirmation of the name of the part, before ringing up the item, which would explain why the line was appx. 2 hours long.
Complaint 2: ( Rude employee )
There was a employee who had MANY tattoos all over his body and a HUGE 2-3" TRIBAL STRETCHED LOOP EARRING. I found this employees "TONE" to be very abrupt, impatient, negative, intimidating, condescending, hostile, and unprofessional.
Btw. When I used to be management & recieved a complaint about one of our employees, we already knew which employee it was likely about. So im no betting man, but I'm pretty sure management is very aware as to the personalities of all of their employees. Some of my employees strong points was after hour or behind the scenes duties. Other employees were stellar when it came to customer service. A business can always be ran more efficiently. And at times it may be best to put employees in positions or assign them to duties where they excel best at. Free advice.
Complaint 3: ( People smoking in the line / and in the junkyard )
There were customers smoking in the line. That is not good for peoples health to breathe in 2nd hand smoke. Also there are people smoking in the junkyard. That is not good for customers that are working to remove parts that are forced to breathe 2nd hand smoke in.
Complaint 4: ( Poorly managed location )
So you have a line that I would estimate is 20 cars lengths long = appx. 2 hour wait. You only had 2 cashiers. The cashiers seemed EXTREMELY SLOW. Meanwhile there appeared to be 3 employees by the entrance hanging out socializing not doing very much. Management needs to figure out how to make the line quicker. Imagine 3 employees at the entry/exit just hanging out not very busy while there is a line of 30-40 people, smh. It's more managements fault, I can't blame the hourly employees. Perhaps anytime there's more than 8 or more people, open a new line. Allowing a 2 hour + line of 20-40 people is just a poorly run location IMO.
Complaint 5: ( poor value for the money )
If someone buys a part from your location for $50. But they spent $20 in gas, 2 hour commute, $3 entry, 1 hour removing the part, and spends 2 hours in line / if they got paid $20 an hour at their current job/ that means they would have cost them $123 in time, gas, labor, and entry. A $50 part from your location would theoretically cost them $123 in gas, time, labor, and entry vs just buying it from ebay for $80. So now you have a conflux of rude staff & a poorly managed business. It comes to a point, that it's not even worth it for some customers.
My advice to any customers is this. If it makes sense to buy a part from Pick Your Part ( Monrovia ), do it. Just deal with rude staff and a poorly ran facility. But if it's a part $150 and below, your probably better off just buying it on ebay. You got to factor in your gas, time, round trip, wear and tear on your car, $3 entry, and the 2 hour line I experienced.
Well organized. More than likely you'll find the parts you're looking for. They have a big selection of vehicles.
More good news, they lowered admission prices to $3, they have Military discounts, and I think they may have lowered their prices too. This is a huge plus!
Worker on computer at entrance was rude and ignored me no costumer service at all seemed like he doesn’t like his job at all to be taking it out on costumers
They are definitely CLOSE on Thanksgiving Day. It’s 10:10am at the time of this post. There was a line of people waiting patiently to open up the gates.

Came here for a discontinued part for my car.
I did find the part but it was defective I didn't purchase warranty so yeah my loss. You won't get your money back without purchasing their warranty.
When I arrived there I asked one of the workers at the front gate for guidance on the row I was looking for, he just pointed and said behind those cars lol. I was like which cars...I mean it is car junkyard.
Not so friendly or helpful staff here, no smiles none had that welcoming attitude, it was all the opposite, then my stupid azz finally realized oh crap I'm at a junkyard lol! So what to expect right
The car selection is not bad at all. The cost of the parts with today's economy not bad either. I did find that people deliberately cut A/C lines not sure why people do that, which is the part I was looking for.
Overall not a bad junkyard and clean too compare to others. Just don't expect to get friendly and helpful staff at the gate, it's more like walking through a prison gate attitudes lol!
Other than that be ready to walk the yard and look on your own with no guidance from staff to point you in the right direction for the car you're looking for.
I've been to all pick your parts in southern Cali, and their Monrovia location has the greatest customer service. their manager CREIG I can't thank him enough he really goes out of his way to make sure the customers are leaving happy. thank you guys
This is one of the cleaner junk yards. The ground is actually cleanish dirt. Some junk yards are straight oil soaked asphalt. Other than that it's just like all the other yards.
It's location is nice. I don't feel like I will have my car broken into.

LKQ has a great web site that lets you search for the cars. You can even set alerts for what you are looking for, but it's a little buggy.
Great Service, cars are turned over every 4-5 weeks, the crew who can pick for you are out by 3pm, checkout is speedy and warranty and exchange is 90 days. Great deal.
Absolutely the best PYP location I've been to. Very professional and supportive. All staff - Ed, Jesse, Greg and picker staff were efficient and knowledgeable. After decades in Auto body and restoration business work this location is Tops!
Great place! I've been coming to Pick Your Parts for years. Never disappointed. Prices are fair! I will say that It would be nice if their business hours were better accommodating such as 6-7am opening time. We mechanics are up super early.
The yard could due with a cleaner approach as the truck section had parts strewn about that bringing the cart down the isle is almost impossible. Even though the parts I needed were available, the vehicle was still very difficult to get parts off due to spacing. For being an out of state customer the pricing was fair for what was needed, and I would come back when in CA again.
Just scammed me out of the 5$ entrance fee and cost me 5$ in gas driving there by not updating their inventory online. Always call these scam car parks the day you’re going to make sure they still have what their online inventory says they have. Rude employees, traumatizing experience overall.
First time going to this yard. very friendly environment i really wish the one in sun valley be the same. manager at the monroviia yard pretty cool and mellow.
if i lived nearby this will be my spot. Sadly i live in sun valley. SO if you have the chance to check out this yard you should come check it out. i highly recommended. its pretty close to the 210 and the 10 freeway.
The place is clean and I encounter nothing but friendly people there, and those that were not as friendly they were minding their own business.
The place has all kinds of cars, chances are you'll find what you're looking for.

Update: the admission has more than doubled, now $5 to get in. Parts prices seemed to have tripled. All locations go by the same pricing index. Other location wanted to charge me $456 for a cracked bumper cover. Extra for license plate holder. Extra for 1 busted fog light & extra for the 18 inch foam insert.

This place is busy on the weekends. They have a large volume of cars and trucks. It's a roll of the dice if your parts are still on the car when you get there. At times they will be stripped to the bone. Also many people will damage and cut things up just to get their simple part. For example let's rip the seats out and break the windshield to get the cigarette lighter. Don't forget to cut the wiring harness. They offer a 90 day warranty program. Bring it back if it does not work or fit. If you do not want to pay extra for the warranty. You better tell them first because they will automatically charge you for it. No more give your phone number and get points for discounts. Parking is plentiful. Just watch the signs off the street because the entrance is tricky. Main entrance is located around the turn in the backside. They do have guys hanging out that will pull your parts for a fee. From the basic to the engines. In the parking lot there is a food truck and a small setup selling wire clothes and some tools. In the back of the lot there is a glass install shop.
A warranty they automatically apply and don’t tell you is optional except on a poster in small writing

I really love this place the staff is pretty lay back they don’t really hassle you. I been going for like 16 years now that’s where I learned mechanics.. if I didn’t know how to do it on my vehicles I would go there to practice there first before working on my vehicles.. I always teach my self I find that is the best thing you can do because consciously you know your becoming better and better day by day....

12 Volt Auto Programming LB CA
just a really bad experience, I needed a headlight assembly and saw a touareg at this location so I took it apart and brought it to the cashier and I asked him if it would fit to my touareg, this is from a V6 and mine is a V8 and he said yes, they always work usually there are no returns,. I asked him if I needed a warranty and he said again they usually work you don't need it. So I bought it with no warranty, the headlight assembly fits but won't work, everything inside is different even the light bulbs. I went back about 15 minutes after since I tried to swap the headlight assembly at their parking lot and went back to the cashier 3099 and he sent me to the guy at the gate with the blue hat and he said that there is nothing you can do, you didn't buy a warranty you just lost your money and walked away. Kind of tricky business I will say, you got to check your parts needed end to end before you go if you are not an expert other wise you will loose your money as this blue hat manager said.
Today was my first day in pick your part location and I learned:
The picture of the vehicle is a lot far from the real condition.
You need to look for the ubication of the vehicle in the web page because if you ask to the pick your part crew they will point to a direction and you will spend the day looking between about 200 or 300 vehicles.
I have not clear how pick your part charges you but next time I need to check twice with the cashier and avoid be asked for the rude guy on the door.
The new car alert is a scam!, the mail came days after the car came into the place so you cant find a lotbof parts
The manager on Sunday is very rude doesn't know the difference between real money and counterfeit money they should have somebody that knows the difference makes it very inconvenient for everybody thank you
