This place is a ripoff and the old dudes working there are grumpy and rude. All their baskets are torn and the material falls out. They don't pay what they should! Two thumbs down, 4 if I had extra hands for the old dudes.
It’s a “ok” place. Can get a little dirty, and if you hang out long enough you’ll see some strange people. I would have given it more stars, but I got a nail stuck in my tire from their parking lot. They need to keep the parking lot cleaner.
I sorted my recycling the aluminum in one basket and plastic in another basket. I waited my turn and this guy weighed the aluminum but I never saw him weigh the plastic. So I guess this was a scam! I just needed to get rid of my recycling but for someone that saves for the money I’d find another place.
I Took my recyclables and 21 lbs for a cage the cashier sais but I know it was way more than that and 26 lbs for plastics so 1 full cage of plastics and 1 full cage of aluminum so why do the plastic weigh more that the aluminum.I Honesy know that something is wrong here.Here is another update.I gave Good Earth 50 pounds of Aluminum crushed cans only Gave me 21 lbs.Dont be Scammed by Good Earth....please go to yelp so you can see the receipt.Its 50lbs of aluminum but the receipt said 21lbs and please look at the amount that Good Earth pays per pound of aluminum and plastic,Ventura Recycling pays less they gave me more and I gave them way less than Good Earth recycling and paid me more......Good Earth is a scam artist...Stay Away at all cost,I tried to tell people about the Scam goodearth was doing and no one believed me.I really hope Goodearth learned a lesson.People make sure to weigh your recyclables at home right it down on a piece of paper before you go because they will Scam you guarantee it.Till this day I'm still waiting for the 39lbs of aluminum they stole from me.Go to Corridor recycling center they are very honest and pay you way more think that's how you spell it.Search for them on google
I've been there more than once. Customer service is ok, but at times it feels like I'm shortchanged. I suggest u have an idea of the weight of the product you're selling. Do not leave it all up to them

It's a very convenient place for recycling fast in and out. But I started paying attention as to what they are paying me and they have been shorting me here and there. One pound here one pound there. The 10 cent CRV not mixed in with the regular CRV plastic they short me a few pieces or not pay me at all for them like the last time I was there.
Gonna keep it simple: Good prices for your recycling but absolute @ss customer service. The interactions are supposed to be neutral and minimal but the small interaction I have had many times have always just been extremely- Extremely (emphasis on Extremely) - Rude. The guy with the hat and pencil ‘stache, handling + taking the bottles and cans was a Cvnt to me. Always is and was when I go there. Even after many attempts to show him kindness. So anyway, be prepared to come with your guard up & get good prices for your cans and bottles Lol.
This place is a rip off puts a broken speaker magnet in copper that I cut out of my 100 year old California craftsmen when I rewired it. I polished that's copper for over a week to make sure it was copper. There was even any metal in it. He put his magnet in and black steel that was on it when he put in bucket cause I saw magnet before it my copper. Then they want to give 4.40
I say no. Give it back. They said no I couldn't get it back. Then after they took pipe copper they gave me back half of other copper. This place is the worst recycling place I've ever been in my life. Cursing me in Spanish and think I don't understand. Chumps Chumpa. Hate is all I have for the gentleman who holds his magnet. Last and most the lady behind glass should think of what says to people she doesn't even know. They must be really high up there in food chain. Cause there acting like there the law.

Very easy, straightforward recycling center. The cans ended up producing about $7 per 45L bag which was pretty surprising. Highly recommend. Lots of interesting characters that come here.
The hours are from 8am to 5pm....it doesnt say anywhere that they close up 10 minutes til 5pm..its unfair that someone who gets off work, fights traffic and arrives at 4:53pm to turn in a small bag or 2 of plastics that theyre closed! Well according to the time on my phone it was not 5pm....the owner better step up and put the employees in check...customer service should be until 5pm or put a sign up stating that the last redemption is at 4:50 ..i could of cashed in my plastics instead im arguing with someone who hardly speaks english telling me they close at 5pm when the time was now 4: 56pm. The time spent with this dude could of had me cashed out!! Employees leaving at 4:58pm?!! Ive worked with the public, closing time means 4, 5, 8, 11pm or whatever closing time is NOT 10 mins early.....thanks for the waste of time and what little gas i had just to make it there before 5pm!!
Like a well oiled machine, each of their employees move like they are on rails: smooth, knowing exactly what needs to happen next to get you in and out quickly, efficiently and safely so you can save the planet: one can, bottle or old bed frame at a time, cause that is what it is going to take! Good job and keep recycling!
Parking lot is small. Only one way to enter and exit that fits 1 car at a time. 3 full trolley cart bins of empty water bottles = $53. Yey Gas money and Lunch
A very good recycle place and since I started using them I've never had to wait more than 20 min from point going in to driving away. The guys are on top of things and don't goof off while working. Workers are polite but not talkative. Prices are competitive. I recommendommend. Note: I sort my recycling prior to going there
Do not go here if you have different types of plastic such as: #2 (HDPE), #4 (LDPE), #5 (PP) and others. They only know plastic bottles, soda cans and bottles.
Not a parking friendly, a dozer comes often and have to wait them stockpiling.
This is an excellent recycling center. They will take items which have a refund value they will also take items which do not. They insist that you separate them but they will recycle all plastic bottles. However they will pay a different price for those that are subject to a recycling fee from those that aren't. They also provide a fair price on aluminum cans and glass bottles.
Great place. Make sure your cans and bottles have a CRV. separate plastic#1 from plastic#2 put glass bottles in solid container just to save you time. Don’t waste your time or space saving milk containers they don’t buy them.
Just left this place after calling in for recycling prices foe CAT6. The lady on the phone said $1.10 a LV. Which is about the going rate, slightly higher. So I drove down there with my cable and the guys walks out takes a peak at the tip and says it’s #2 who is only $ .25 a lb. I tried to explain to tell her about our convo on the phone and she said it was up to him. She doesn’t know. You should really have more knowledgeable people working there, not just bodies taking up space. Guess you guys came up on this one.
I went there today and it took me longer to get my cans in the basket they the entire process of getting them weighed and paid.
I will add in response to a couple of other people who posted reviews. The neighborhood where Good Earth Recycling Center is located is not bad, You have Harbor Chevrolet across the street, Good year Tires next door to the west and the Long Beach Airport to the east with a upper middle class neighborhood across Cherry Avenue.
Fast service, plenty of recycling bins and they follow strict Covid regulations. There's very little parking so it's best to go early or right before it closes if you have alot to recycle. They're open Mon- Sat from 8am-5pm. Closed Sunday. Highly recommend this recycling center.
This place is pretty packed on the weekends. I usually make trip here every 6 months. I recycle plastic bottles, lots of wine and champagne bottles too haha because I love my wine and champagne! Not so many cans. Thanks to my boyfor having a truck to help me out. We bring about 12 large kitchen bags each time and walk away with at least $25 in cash back. What a great way to take care of Mother Earth and give back to environment!
Today I needed to recycle some cans and bottles and I went to Cal State Long Beach at the alumni recycling center but they were closed now they didn't have anything written there warning that there will be closed instead I sat there and it was a waste of time so then I went to The Signal Hill recycling center Good Earth Recycling Center and they were open and I got some pretty good money it seem like I did better there than at Cal State Long Beach anyways you can count on CRV up to 50 cans and 50 bottles or you could do it by weight.
I used to go to this recycling center many years ago, but then changed to another one that was much closer to home. But since the one closervto home has closed I decided to try Good Earth again. And as soon as I had all my plastic bottles into their container & started to wheel it up to the opening of the builfding one of the workers took over and I was finished in a flash. That was wonderful. So I was basically in and out of the place in no time.
Saturday 6/8/2019 very rude employee.
I didnt like the fact the he refused to use my coupon. I ask for it back and in a very rude manner he said once he has the coupon that he cannot give it back. I really dont see reason why he kept it if didnt honor the coupon. My child work hard to collect his recycle and he left this place very dissapointed.
They take CRV recyclables by the pound using two large wright scales. The line is never long when I go in the morning. Use their wheeled mesh containers for large amounts. This is different from some CRV places that pay by the piece where it takes forever to put each bottle or can on a little conveyor machine.
