I arrived at 4:37 (I had to rush over here because I check and it says they close at 5pm) but it was already closed. They need to follow the hours they post. Smh. Very disappointed.
Went 6/30/Sunday, around 2:30
PM, place was closed sign said open till 5pm. Had to walk another mile to different recycling business. 2nd or 3rd time this has happened.

Gentle man waiting in his car. And he was friendly & polite. And not much tattoo. It is clean better bellflower recycling center. I like express recycling center. There basket is more light to hold. Next time I am going through express recycling center. I won't not take the caps off the plastic. And clean in the back of behind yoshinoya / Ross.
Normally a great place to come. Came here 2-7-23 this a.m not a soul in site. Been standing around for almost 10 mins and no one has came to help me or the gentleman. We even went in the containers to see if any workers were back there. Number is not accepting calls. Very unprofessional. Had to update been waiting 30mins and still no one. They are full of ish. It’s no way you are taking a break or even a restroom break and you just left your house. I’m done with this place and I can’t leave because I ripped all of my bags so, I’m stuck waiting around.
I arrived at Express Recycling 2:40 pm on 12/7/22. No one was at the site and I made sure that I looked at the day/time. No sign on the door with a message that “we will return at a specific time” or “I’m taking a lunch break”. This is not good, because I wasted my time and gas and I specifically came here because of the reviews and the 4 star rating
2 forms of ID needed here. Very small location and fills up fast. Be careful late in the day they might be full and not accepting anything but still open. They do jot take glass.
They don't accept cardboard boxes here, but there is a man with a truck across the parking lot who will take them! I saw the Ross employees bringing out the store's boxes for him too. Not exactly sure what day(s) he comes, but you could probably call Express Recycling and ask them if they see him in the lot before you drive over.
Friendly place to turn in your recyclables, really quick and straight forward, they pay with checks which I think is even better and more secure, thus get your ID ready.
This is the best recycling place I have been to. They pay higher than the previous places I’ve taken my recycles to and it’s much more convenient as well. Unlike other locations, I am not required to remove the caps from my bottles. I highly reccommend!
I've been a regular at Bellflower Recycling Center for years. Not anymore!
Express Recycling is located behind Grocery Outlet/Ross. I've seen the signs before, but never thought about coming here. After seeing some people post they offer top dollar for cans & plastic, not to mention payment comes via check, I thought I'd give this place a try.
When I arrived, I quickly loaded up my cans & plastic in the bins & was second in line. My items were weighed, I gave my driver's license and signed for my check. A cool $52 & change in hand, and I was expeditiously on my way.
Express Recycling is head & shoulders above Bellflower Recycling Center. First, the cleanliness. At Bellflower, plastic bottle tops & other trash litter the ground. Here at Express, plastic is accepted with tops on, although I always take the tops off out of habit. The parking lot was clean, for the most part. Second, no big lines. Bellflower can be 10-20 people deep at times. Not a problem here. Third, the noise. Over at Bellflower, sounds of clanking bottles & cans cause some serious noise pollution. I have sensitive hearing after years of driving with the subwoofer bumping in my old 323 of yesteryear. Because of the lesser amount of people, my abused ears are spared needless torment. Lastly, the time saved makes recycling less of a hassle than it needs to be. I was in & out, and thankful for it.
Express Recycling is now my destination for recycling. Receiving payment via check is more hygienic than cash, I can quickly stop by and not spend a lot of time & the cleanliness of the operation are all reasons why I recommend everyone local make Express Recycling their recycling destination.

These guys do a great job, and with great attitudes. Very pleasantly surprised at our experience. Highly recommend and look forward to returning when we have more recyclables!!
Since I don't really have a lot of experience with recycling, I found things to be pretty the attendant NB was polite and courteous. I guess I got reasonable money back. If there's a better place to go that pays more, let me know.
The Best in this Area. Best Pay. Best Service. Best Location. Big Baskets which holds more material. The Clerk was very friendly and nice. Thanks for being there. God Bless.
First red flag already. How do you expect people to come recycle if yall cant even answer the phone. It clearly says you’re open. Called 3 times, yet no answer.
Fast, Friendly, Higher Rates, and I would like to also add that there lunch hours are from 12:30pm to 1:30pm and although I showed up as he was about to leave for lunch the young man still turned his car off got out and helped me with service and I liked to say that he is a very nice sweet patient courteous young gentleman who did not mind in me cutting in on his lunch time when he really did not have to. It took 3 minutes and I thanked him and also apologized for showing up when I did because technically he has the right to get his lunch in at hat time. So just make sure to not go at those hours.
I stopped here on three different occasions over 2 weeks and they were unable to take glass. 3 strikes your out. If I can’t give you my recycling material,
Then your not a recycling center.
This place is located behind Ross near a parking lot. Thank you for having this location as my alternative recycling place to the Bellflower Recycling center! It's so much cleaner and has better rates.
Express is right! I'm always in & out within 5 mins or less. I don't understand why people would even bother going to the one at Ralph's. The line is always ridiculously long and ol' boys attitude makes it so much worse. I got 2 words to say about this new location, CASH & QUICK. Need I say more? Probably not. But I will anyway, this place rocks and the other re planet at Ralph's is dumb as a box of rocks. Haha
