I am a frequent customer they have better pay than most other yards have to offer staff is friendly sometimes offer water etcetera etcetera my only complaint is my two previous times when I tried to make it before (to the non-ferrous metal section AKA anything but steel) closing both times I arrived 10 minutes until that time and both of those times the doors were closed and I was not granted entry on their business page via Google maps it says that they close on Saturdays at 12:00 p.m. and I feel if they have made any updates to this that it should be also updated on here as well so the general public or whoever does business here can try to have better time management or if there haven't been any changes at least mention in the about section or something giving us a heads up that yes your business on Saturdays close at 12:00 but close the doors at 10 minutes till so if people are running behind at least they know they have actually until 11:50 not 12:00 if they want to turn in any scrap that day
Waste of time, give you a quote and asked to see ID, which is already unnecessary for recycling. Later he says he’s going to pay me 30 days later. Ridiculous and a waste of time.
I just bought a Van that was a work Van for the previous owner and they left all kinds of metal in the back. I'm hoping that taking it to SA Recycling will be a lucrative move for my husband and myself..

The brother out here Chepe Gomez is 1 of the best spotters around. I’ve never had an issue backing in the most right places here. It’s always been a smooth operation thanks to the brother. He is well versed in tractor trailer operations. I definitely recommend coming here as everyone is very chill and friendly. Especially Chepe Gomez. This is my go to place for recycling materials. It’s always an easy time thank you bro for your service and expertise.
It was my 2nd visit there in 2 years and I thought the worker who helped me out today was very helpful and courteous and doing his job I will gladly return to this place with my recycle
I recycled some old scrap metal from aluminum awnings we took down and the service was quick, efficient and friendly. I was a first timer but the attendant explained everything to me in a few moments and I was on my way back home in less than 10 minutes with a few extra dollars in my pocket to boot.
Scheduled a meeting to have a sizable amount of scrap picked up and the guy never showed up. No call. When I called to find out what happened I was told they got busy. Poor service.
They offered more money per same trailer load than other recyclers. I made on average $66 more per same weight of steel recycling verses other places.
Also plenty of room to backup & turn around with a small hauling trailer. Nice accurate weighing stations coming in & when exiting. You know your not being ripped off because the recycle weight is recorded on your receipt. By law they have to keep there truck scales accurate by a third licensed party.
I want to share the story with you guys today I went to the SA Recycling on Tujunga to recycle wire I'm electrician doing my electrical work I'm collecting a lot of wire.
So when i got to this place the gusy that work and this place ask me if I want them to use they machine to clean the wire.
Of course I didn't refuse I thought might be easy to use the machine instead to clean them by my hand I give them almost full bucket they give me back a quarter bucket and none of the wire was clean.
So the reason I'm sharing this story is because to be aware of this place the line to people they cheated on people and they're not honest.
And also instead to make $900 today I made only $300.

They close at 4 so I got there at 3 55 and the gate was already closed. I talked to the people at the scale and they said to just bring it in on the side where all the trucks come in and dump it there. After I did I was told I'd be paid for scrap metal ehen though I had almost 30 lbs of aluminum in there. Ended up with 4 bux. What a waste! Don't say you close at 4 unless you do
This place is great I went to sell my CRV cans and they pay as high as anyone else in the valley.
There are lots of other customer so it does get a little busy but they take care of you as fast as they can. good place to make extra money, I will go back again,
