Saw how highly rated this place was and all the wonderful reviews. It's just like they said—5/5. My car had an extensive Carfax report, was well maintained, and was sold to me at a good price. It also helps that the guy working here is a mechanic, so you know he wouldn't buy something to resell that was junk and ruin the business’s reputation. I've been driving my 2005 Toyota Corolla for a week, and it runs like it just came out of the factory. The purchasing process was extremely simple; I never felt rushed, and they talk to you like a person. No weird hidden fees or up charges.
I bought a 2001 Honda Accord EX from Bill and Angela, they made my wife and I so comfortable and it was one of the best car buying experiences I’ve had. This dealer DID NOT force any other fees at the desk and didn’t make me feel pressured at all. Feels good to be treated as an equal during the sales process. I’ve had some bad experiences while shopping with other stereotypical used car dealers. They have pressured me into buying and/or added fees that no one told me about until I got to the front desk. Let me tell you guys something. These are some of the best people you can ever work with when it comes to purchasing a vehicle. I made the mistake of going somewhere else and having to go through this whole rigamarole to return it to the other dealership because their was no quality assurance. But here, there is nothing but quality assurance and complete transparency. Bill and Angela and John were amazing straight forward, clear and extremely knowledgeable about their vehicles. I don't really write reviews all that much, but I wanted to make an exception for this business. My wife and I needed to buy a used vehicle recently, and we were looking for a particular make, model and year. After going to a number of ‘shady’ used car dealerships in the Valley (disorganized, dirty, full of either impatient or apathetic salesmen looking to make a quick buck with overpriced, crappy-looking used cars)... finally the car we were looking for showed up in a search engine that brought us to California Auto Resources.
When we arrived, we found Bill's zero-pressure, "take your time" approach with us so refreshing! This meant a lot to us because this was a big purchase decision and we’d already been practically traumatized by our experiences at most of the other dealerships.
Turns out California Auto Resources is a husband/wife owned and operated business. Bill is the meticulous mechanic who flips the cars, while his wife, Angela, handles the business/bookkeeping end of things.
After a thorough examination, we took the car for a test drive, and it decided we really liked the car. However, we still had some hesitations before purchasing, some of which could be alleviated by a third-party pre-purchase mechanical inspection. Bill allowed us to take it to a nearby mechanic to have it inspected. Upon inspection, the other mechanic discovered the brake pads were a little worn and might need replacing. Bill said, “No problem,” and he made sure we had fresh brake pads on the car before the ink was dry on our contract.
But the story doesn't end there. After we took it home, we started to discover that the power locks started to malfunction intermittently. Also, since we were so used to only using the key-fob to lock/unlock doors, it took us a while to realize that the actual physical key didn't work on the door or the trunk (only the ignition). This resulted in running the risk of getting locked out of the car. I tried trouble-shooting the issue myself, but couldn’t find a solution. So I called Bill and asked him if he had any suggestions on what to do. Legally, we had bought the car “as-is,” so I wasn't really expecting much help. However, he told me to bring the car into his shop, and he ended up fixing the problem – free of charge! We recently got the car back from him and things are working smoothly now. Bill really went above-and-beyond for us, even though he didn’t have to.
I just wanted to write this review in appreciation to Bill and Angela. It is rare to get this level of honesty, integrity and customer care when purchasing a used vehicle. So when you experience it, you simply can't help but to tell everyone you can. Thank you, Bill and Angela, for patiently working with us, answering all of our questions, and taking great care of us!

I bought my second vehicle from them today and am very pleased with the vehicles and the service. This place is a real gem. The owners Bill and Angela are very polite, kind, and low pressure. I always feel comfortable there. They specialize in low milage, older vehicles and the quality control is excellent. This is the place to go if you want to pay a reasonable price for a unique and quality older used vehicle. I have driven all the way from Lake Isabella to purchase from them twice.

Our 2003 Tahoe was delivered Tuesday. Shipped from California to Pennsylvania. Well worth the wait! The Tahoe is beautiful, spotless and drives like a dream! They wouldn't budge on the price... best offer was $100 off and a tank of gas. I later saw that the car was listed on another site for 166 days (come on Carfax, why don't you give us the listing date?). They never mentioned it was sitting in the parking lot for 5 months. Also the car wasn't very clean. They weren't trying to scam me like other dealers I'll give them that.

Great used car buying experience! We bought a 2004 Honda Civic from Bill and Angela, husband and wife, and the owners of the dealership. They are both great to deal with! Bill is also the buyer of the vehicles and has a history of working in the automobile industry. He was quick to point out all the positives AND negatives of the vehicle. They will show you their own inspection report if you ask for it and explain everything on it. I am 51 years old and have worked on my own cars all my life. I spent almost 2 hours looking over 2 different vehicles we were considering. After Bill pointed out the highs and lows of each vehicle, he gave me the keys to both and said to let him know if I had any other questions and left me alone. He provided a good test drive route including a stretch of freeway and let me drive each vehicle and didn't even come with me. They have a mechanic on staff and a detailer they hire to clean the cars, but other than that, I believe Bill and Angela do everything else. Angela did all the paperwork with us for a reasonable document fee.I highly recommend this dealership! We got a fair deal on a quality used car. They are honest, trusting, friendly, low pressure and sell quality used cars. I doubt you'll have a better used car buying experience anywhere else!
