I was there couple years ago and I post for this location as good review and I had very good experience for myself and couple of my friends as well but unfortunately after 4 years back to the location for visit and find out cars but totally was different and price was to high to other Auction or seller for now with the price and model and mileage they asking for car sell overall 30 to 35% more than you can find on other online platforms
I'm sure this is a great place to buy a car but there's no place to park. It was a waste of time for me. When I pulled into their parking lot, I was told I would have to park on the street. Okay, no problem. I drove over a half of a mile and there was no parking anywhere on the street. So I went home. But if you don't mind walking a mile and waiting for a parking place, then go for it. I don't need to buy a car that bad.
Had to return car, broke down within 2 days. Make sure you paid for the return option. Best 200$ dollar I spend. Make sure to take a mechanic with you. Ladies working behind the desk are very helpful. But sorry would not recommend.
I hate that I had to spend money going all the way up there. Just to find out they lied about their car's of course it's used cars. It's under new ownership the lot in gardena was the last of good cars this place is a rip off. Car has all type of scratches scars paint chips high mileage. I'll advised you all not to fall for the scam also the cars have no shocks on none of the cars. They have ppls they know to write reviews. Everything about this place screams run away fast.
They're lying about all the cars and the ppls working there have stinky attitudes because I asked for the prior owner... He proceeded to lie to me and tell me that the owner is still the owner. When I asked him was the caucasian lady still the owner he proceeded to lie to me. Is now owned by the Spanish which is not a problem with me the problem came in with the cars looking like they supposed to be at a junkyard instead of on a car lot. Everything is overpriced everything have scars scratches dim lights doors look like they've been prior open from the top... I spent almost $50 to get there after talking to the person that runs their Instagram page... Lies on top of lies you can go at your own risk but don't forget I took out my time to write this for you all as I was leaving I told them I would write out a review. Had to spend $45 to get back home.
It was my first time here and Junior was very helpful and patient with my vehicle decision. I highly recommend it here for anyone looking for a vehicle with a reasonable price. Definitely ask for Junior for the best experience!
I bought a Chrysler 300c from blok auto.
I started it up and it ran good. It had it's problems but being a mechanic. I put a little money into it. And this car have not let me down.
I bought a truck from Gardina Block. Same place. Great deal great price. 2001. Clean engine clean everywhere. They worked out a good deal. Since have sent people to buy all have been happy.
This is a good spot for used cars...quick and easy buying, and they are willing to work with you on prices and fees. Was in and out with a new car (well, new to.me anyways), and I'm very happy with the purchase.
We've been buying cars from blok auto in Gardena, since 2011. We bught 4 cars total at a really good price. Excellent customer service. We were very happy until this last buy at the new location. We bought our car for $67000 on Monday and a day after the car didn't want to work, reverse doesn't work and it's making an awful noise. I am aware that cars are sold as is, so we can't return the car or do anything about it, since we didn't get the insurance because we never needed it in the pass. But I am so disappointed. That is my last car I bought from them. I used to recommend this place to family and friends,. I used to tell people they must have really good inspectors or mechanics because cars were in great condition, but now. No, no, no, don't buy there no more!! If you do,
make sure to include your $200 to test drive. I'm giving a star to the guy who helped us, he was very polite though.
They have a good collection of vehicles. Every Saturday the auction happens. So if you are interested in a vehicle maybe you can try to make an offer rather than wait until it goes in the auction. U might pay little extra. But you can make sure that your desired vehicle is yours without going through all those bidding process. There are no test drives offered in this place. In my point of view it should be at least one drive accompanied with one of their representatives. Basically you can’t experience how smooth is the drive of your new car before paying for it. But you can deposit an additional $200/- of non refundable payment and they will allow you to return the vehicle within 2 days in case if you you aren’t happy with it. Overall not bad. Recommend
We bought a 2013 Ford focus. Under 100,000 miles great condition pretty much a new car. We paid the extra 200$ 2 day return option but did not need to use it as there are absolutely no problems with the vehicle. Maybe we got lucky but if your not smart enough to pay the extra 200$ and take the vehicle to be inspected in those two days well then your bad. Common sense is get the vechile checked out. Carfax it. Which we actually did after we already purchased the vehicle. We serviced it right away and did everything the computer suggested we did. We love our car and are very happy with it.
This place was awful to me. I bought a car here several yrs ago. Wouldn't even pass a real smog 2 days later car died on me and they wouldn't help me or refund. I had to take them to court to get my money back. Save yourself the agony!!!! Hopefully management has changed!
Be ware of this place, they don't let you test drive the car, and will change you $200 dollar for return purchase option if you are not happy with the car. Most important is that they will charge you extra 5% of the total amount of the purchase. So, you will need to pay at least more than $350 dollars if you want to return the car. and the return time is limited to 2 days. So, be careful with this auto shop. Also, they will not give you title after you make payment, they will tell you that the title will be mailed to you in two to three weeks and it's legal to drive. but actually it's not legal to drive without a valid title.
no different than any used car dealer, the prices and the warranty are the same. better to buy from a private owner

Will NEVER BUY A CAR FROM HERE. Bought my car 3 months ago , still haven’t gotten my title and my alternator completely went out. They say pay 200 and u can return in 2 days if u see anything wrong but in 2 days you won’t find out what’s wrong. I was better off taking my chances buying a car off the street.
I have purchased many cars from Blok Auto and have gotten many good cars at a reasonable price. I have purchased cars for my grandkids and for myself. You can walk around and speak with a saleman and feel no pressure to purchase. Its all left up to you. Take your time and you can come back tomorrow. This is the place to shop for a good used car. Oh! and the selection is great and you can view the cars on the internet before coming down. Check them out !!!
I remember buying a car from them 2 years ago, decent vehicle decent price it was a 2010 Chevy cobalt 80k miles for 2700. Now? You’ve got cars with 200,000+ miles & they want you to pay 3500+ for cars that can be a hit or miss.... my advice? Keep looking if you can
10% buyers fee + smog fee $55 + $55 for documentation, buy as-is. $5 entrance fee. I heard public auctions have the worst cars, because even the dealer auctions don't want them. The great cars are saved for dealers only. $200 deposit. $200 to buy the refund policy but 8% restocking fee?! They make money even if you don't buy anything! No test driving. You might get lucky and get a working car, but if you don't. you will at least pay them the buyers fee, smog fee, documentation fee, $200 non refundable deposit, or the $200 refund policy with 8% restocking fee and the entrance fee. At least from a private seller or dealer I can get the car professionally inspected. If you brought mechanic you will have to come on a Saturday at 8am till 10am to inspect it. Which means you have to first find a car you like and then ask your mechanic to inspect it. In under 2 hours or less. There's like hundreds of cars here. It take more than 2 hours to find a car you like and even more to inspect it without a car lift. No tools. Don't forget the people they hire to bid against you. Undercover fake bidders to increase the winning bid! The announcer will say a bunch of rubbish really fast to confuse and pressure you. He will make it seem like someone already outbid you, but if you wait long enough he will go back to your bid and say SOLD.
I bought a 2010, Ford Escape with 80K miles a year ago. Great buy and a fair price 8k. No issues what so ever.
I used to work buying junked cars. Word of advice if you buy a car more than 10 years old and you are complaining you shouldn't be, because you are very dumb. Cars fall apart after about 10 years. Oh and you get what you pay for... So don't complain you are an adult take some responsibility and a common sense approach to purchasing a vehicle. Don't go for looks. Go by the year, miles, and body condition. Also it does not hurt to do a car fax report so get the VIN # to run the cars history.
