I have been to many military bases, clean background, this guys telling me that my background came not clean and I am denied of entry!! Trying to explain the officer to double check maybe lady missenter the data can not be true , no explanation have to leave!! Well guess what they missenter the data! So next time ladies stop playing with the dogs and watch what you are putting there in your computer and stop ruin somebody’s day because you don’t know to do your job ! By the comments under this location see it didn’t happen just with me . Hope they will do better next time
As of 10/20/25 Ladies at check in office were 10 out of 10. On a good mood! Even thow it takes forever to get a pass(background check) we laught a lot. One of my best check in experiance ?
- parked here on a lot overnight prior my delivery with no problem
- have 2 copies of BOL!!!, their printer is down
-have all your truck info (registration, insurance etc)
-have a proof or residency available (us passport or naturalization certificate or green card)
-have your Driver licence
-have your DOT physical certificate (picture works)
- you have to turn in all weapons including knifes tizers etc, prior to entry, you can claim them back on a way out.
Inspection gate guys were really professional and nice as well. Thank you for your service!
This facility is filled with friendly people. I really enjoyed my time spent here. I'm told there was a change of staff which is why their stars are so low. Give them a chance and you'll see. These are definitely good people and they are efficient.
Disgusted at all the low flying planes over our mountainside home and the valley today...done without notice! Very upsetting to people with alzheimers!!!
Local delivery driver / company with 12 years of experience driving down to herlong to service to prison and small businesses in the area . Speed limit is 55 mph the whole road leading to the depot . I have to follow the laws including speed limit . It is a daily nightmare dealing with your employees speeding excessively (10-20 mph over), passing each other like salmon trying to spawn up river when you’re all going to the same place a few miles down a 2 lane road. Absolutely no consideration for anyone else on the road , tailgating my 25,000 pound truck like I’m going so slow or holding up traffic by doing my job correctly. Teach your employees to leave earlier from home , and maybe basic drivers ed . No one ever uses a signal when turning or passing, no one yields at the merge near the prison ( oncoming traffic going 55+). Wildlife frequently crossing the road , and I can’t count the number of dead dogs and cats I’ve seen undoubtedly killed by people going so fast and not paying attention . Unfortunately your workers represent and reflect your depot and technically the government and army by extension. Stop letting your workers think otherwise.
Its a "Mixed Bag of Trade-Offs ", I Think is the Best way to Put it; WHY? Well...
* You Have to BE-THERE+ "Squared-Away* @-NLT-
"06:20" (AM!) BUT... You get a 3-Day Weekend Every Week !
* The Pay is 'pretty good', But there's several necessary deductions, but there is Almost Always Overtime (But There goes your 'Extra-day' of a weekend.)
* There's a Real Mix of- all types of people, and you HAVE TO BE " Flexible + at least " Cordial" !
There's some very good food, at "The Mark"-on 395, and "Get Roasted" about a Half-Mile off Base, but you'll have to either sacrifice your "Off-Time" Before Work, or Give up a Break Once a Day to Go-Get your food, and Eat Most of it, on the way back, or Later, at Lunch ! ( AND That- Will Cost You about an Hour's Pay, Every Day! )
* Its 'Good-Serious Work' But, Really . . .NOT Ideal, for Someone without A "Good-Solid Work- Ethic" (Already Solidly Placed, In Your "Hay-yed" ! !)

They have check background….. jst sit tight and follow orders and direction
And CDL holders make sure u take ur medical certificate when u go check in
And everything will alright and don’t come after 1 pm to deliver

The Gatling guns are hard to get through but with enough sneak you can get through them although make sure to have a good science skill before coming here also make sure to save you don't know when you might die
the worst military base that i’ve been to, RECEIVING HOURS til 2pm, anyone after 2pm good luck. make sure you bring food or something. ohh on top of that they do background check which is normal, but not 2-3hours. and then by the time you get unloaded, you will loose the whole day. parking wise, there is no problem with that. they work as slow as puppet JB.

Step1 is not bad, Step2 is worst. Why do they need back ground check. You can ask to the dispatcher for driver's ID. Check it in advance. Wait outside over 4hours on 100F.
Not organized at all.
The first thing you need to bring is your patience.
Follow this and you should have no problems.
You will need four current items.
Current CDL medical card.
Current CDL driver's license.
Current truck insurance.
Current truck registration.
You also need to bring in, in a bag, any guns knives ammo, tire thumpers, and any prescription medicine that does not have your name on the bottle. You will get a claim ticket for these items and you can retrieve them on your way out.
Cameras iPads iPods are the remaining your possession but to not be used in any way.
Forget about any previous reviews this is the current process and will save you a lot of time and frustration if you follow it.
It's a large place but it's not overwhelming. It's all easy after the original check-in just follow their instructions. They do a background check so any warrants or anything of that nature will pop up and you will not be allowed on base.
No lunch time arrival 11-12 have to be processed by 2 or no entry. Need Id Registration and insurance. The ladies are nice just doing their job. But military delivery pain in trump
you MUST have oversize/overweight permits prior of arrival, they would never say this to broker tho. Obviously permits won’t be correct cuz they won’t ever provide correct dims and weight , so you will spend another day Reordering OSOW permits. Yes in Ca you would need Two Permits KARL!!! One routine and the other one to drive vehicle on their property. It’s as BS as if you would pay someone to unload your Reefer.. oh wait...
Typical background check bs. But tell me this. This is a junk yard of old worn out damaged, junk. And I just left another junkyard/Depot 3 days ago. What's with me having to give up all the electronics and knives and the extensive background check. I didn't have to do anything but the background check to get on the Red stone missile base. Or Andrews. Or Alamogordo.
Be prepared for half a day or more to load or unload. Wait in a line to go wait in another line just to drive in and wait in a 3rd line then wait out in the parking lot to wait even more for an escort then wait in yet another line to finally get unloaded. 6 hours total. Make sure you take in ALL electronic devices, knives, dash cam, gps, tire thumper, utility knife, registration, insurance, when you first go check in for ID. Save you time and trips to your truck.
