I had some work done on my F-250. I just happened to choose ADS with no recommendations and I feel I found a good one. Pablo runs a very good business. He is very trustworthy and is willing to take time to talk to you about your vehicle and it's issues. He has a great team of mechanics. Beto is one who impressed me most. I felt his fee for work done was reasonable. I would highly recommend ADS to anyone.

I wrote a review for the wrong shop. American Diesel in El Centro has done several jobs on my truck since May. I've spent $100,000's on maintenance as an owner Operator. No other shop has come close to the quality of service that I've received here. Their lead mechanic has an exceptional level of skills, and KNOWLEDGE! Most of all, they actually CARE! I promise you: THERE'S NOT A CLASS 8 truck mechanical job that they don't excel at! No complaints here. Engine, DPF, electrical, brakes! They do it all exceptionally well. I'm 57, and I'm driving until I'm 70! This is my shop. And these are my guys. I LOVE THESE GUYS! Please. Take my word for it. You won't be disappointed! This is the ONLY shop that has my full TRUST and CONFIDENCE. Please give them a chance. THEY'RE THE BEST! I PUT THIS ON MY LIFE! And I'm a very SERIOUS GUY!
They are very honest and not looking to scam anyone out of money. They try to help you solve the problem first and suggest possible solutions instead of immediately sending a mechanic and charging you. Great people and very helpful – highly recommend!
Save your money and go somewhere else. Don’t take a chance with them. These people don’t do good business. They made 2 separate mistakes on my truck which I ended up having to pay another mechanic to fix. They costed me $5,076.21 in total and didn’t offer to fix any of their mistakes.
We broke down on the downgrade 25 -30 miles heading East on I-8 towards El Centro. While waiting 5 & 1/2 hours for a tow, we made arrangements with American Diesel Repair. Although the shop closed at 5, they came and opened their gates around 8:30 pm & allowed us to sleep in our RV on their property. 8 am they were ready & started working. We found everyone we came in contact with was knowledgeable, courteous and helpful. We were actually able to leave that day & get on the road! We hope we never need their services again but wouldn’t hesitate to contact them if we are in the area….& cost for repairs was less than we anticipated.
would not even trust to bring my lawnmower to them. They have no idea about working on trucks. Relying on people who will stuck nearby on the highway to rip them off. Absolute disaster.
I got stranded in calexico 2 bad sensors and they have there shop in el centro. If you go that way often you need to have there info very helpful that they are there
I’ve been a trucker for the past 3 years now living in San Diego anytime my truck breaks down i always give American Diesel repair a call no matter where you are they'll be there in 90 minutes or less with low maintenance rates great and friendly service i would recommend it to anyone who breaks down.
Guys jumped right on our trailer breaking issue. Very nice and hardworking. Straight up good business. Will recommend to any semi truck or hauling folks needing good mechanic shop in the Imperial Valley
Answered the phone first thing in am and in one day they were able to fix AC, replace a fuel tank, change an airbag, and fix an electrical issue at a reasonable price on my 2023 Peterbilt 389. Would definitely recommend them.
This place is such a disappointment.
The service was really bad and the are there to rob you.
I had an air leak and they charged me 1270.00 just for changing an air hose.

I have been a trucker for the past 10 years and i have always given the best work by American Diesel Repair and had multiple air lines, radiators and break shoe replacements best service in the whole valley i recommend it to friends and family who are trucks
I rate 5 stars to this shop i’ve been taking trucks and i haven’t got no issues, I’m a fleet manager at alford distributing, I had a problem with one of our truck and they found the problem ASAP and replace the clutch good price and honest people, since them I start taking our trucks at AMERICAN DIESEL. I strongly recommended.
They will overcharge you and sell parts at insane prices. DO NOT USE. We got the batteries in the same town for $86 each, and they wanted $195 for each of them. Saved nearly $500 by buying my batteries at another store and had them installed at another local shop.
Called for reefer service they changed the starter , then cut the solenoid because they couldn’t figure out what else was wrong and that was the only way to keep it running. It only blew hot air .Took it to another shop to fix the 750 part they cut , and replace the fuse that this guy couldn’t diagnose as blown. Cost me another 1118 in parts and labor because he missed a fuse , and cut a 750 part to bypass it
DO NOT GO HERE!!! They charged me $1,000 to replace 2 hydraulic hoses (they tried to charge me $1,300). How did the repair hold up? Turns out they used hose clamps and cut up pieces of hose instead of actually replacing one of the hoses. The hose clamps obviously didn't hold and I almost lost my power steering while driving in Mexico. I called for a refund and he got in a shouting match and hung up. Super unprofessional machismo character with no ethics. DO NOT GO HERE!
They got us off the freeway late at night after our trailer burnt up a wheel bearing. We were hoping for a speedy repair but had to wait on parts. The repair they made was done properly and the trailer is back on the road.
Best mechanics in town.he came in 5 minutes at the shop even after hours .fill refrigerant in my refer in 30 minutes. The mechanics are very courteous,polite speaking and very help .the charged me very decent.they are very good priced.i always recommend these mechanics to everyone .
My Volvo VNL 670 truck broke down in El Centro, I figured out very quickly that the starter needed to be replaced. I had the spare part, but was in need of a repair shop to install it. My truck also needed to be towed.
I am going to be honest, after reading all the recent bad reviews, I was hesitant to use their service, but I felt like I had no choice. Closest Volvo repair shop was in San Diego (110 miles) , towing my truck over there would cost me $1500. I decided to go for it, and contacted American Truck and Trailer Repair on thursday afternoon by 1:30 pm. they promised me to send over a company to get me towed to their repair shop. They did. By 4 PM towing company arrived, by 4:30 the truck was at the repair shop. Unfortunately, they close at 5 pm, so no work was done that day. The owner guaranteed that they would look at it, early Friday morning. They did. They started working on my rig at 9 am, there were some issues to get the old starter out, but by 2 pm the new one was installed. Turned out on of my batteries was broken too. I decided to replace all 4 of them. By 4:30 I was back in business. Although people claimed in earlier reviews, the whole business is a rip-off, I was actually quite surprised by the invoice. Repairs on trucks never come cheap, but I felt like this was an honest quotation. I paid $1450, that is 4 truck batteries included, and most of the time 2 people working non stop at my truck. I was up and running in about 24 hours. I also like to mention that my colleague from Logistic department in our office stayed in touch with the owner, and he was always kind enough to take the time to explain what they were doing in what time frame. My experience was very positive, I would not hesitate to use their services again.
Needed a tire repair on a 27' RV on a Friday night. They sent out a tech right away, very professional, (Julio) charged me 150. which I think was very reasonable to come out and handle it after hours with a mobile truck. The repair didn't hold completely, and they came all the way out to Superstition, and made it right the next day. Stand up shop. Very reasonable and professional, I would definitely recommend. Was totally up front about pricing. Not free.
