I'm all about giving something a second life and the guys at the scrap yard are on the same page! I try to stop by and scrap or recycle what I can before I head to the dump.

Scrapyard adventures are one of my favorites, whether I'm looking for copper wire or retired street signs or... old bike frames for a Kinetic Sculpture-in-progress. I only wish they were open at all on the weekend.

Friendly and helpful. They’ll take your cans (for free) if Hambro is closed. Staff is friendly and helpful. I typically give them my cans and, of course any scrap metal I have laying around.

I have always enjoyed this place, some weird people there but that’s what makes it interesting! Their prices of on scrap metal specifically wire! I was making an extension cord for my welder and the scrap wire they had was copper made in USA and about 10 times cheaper than brand new ace prices

Came to salvage plumbing pipes and fittings. Most of the pipes get chopped up before they can be reused. Prices for used copper pipe with solder and fittings are $4/lb, in 2023, if you can find a usable length. Check scrap prices online to be informed. Have found occasional items and can sometimes negotiate a good price. Gets muddy when wet. Good place to dump scrap for free knowing it will get reprocessed.

Dino is a very nice business owner that is always willing to work with your budget for scrap yard goods. Also his staff are friendly and helpful. Good prices on scrap metals too

As a person who loves junking old appliances and tinkering, this place is a gold mine for me, there are so many cool and interesting things to look at. Seems like a cool place to work too, the staff are all friendly and very helpful.

This place is awesome. You never know what shows up at Arcata Salvage. The staff here is pro. Bring your metal Humboldt.

Beyond helpful. Helped us find everything we needed. Helped us fashion a makeshift firepit. Poked holes for us, bent rebar. Very friendly!! Nicest junkyard dog ever.

This is a great place to gather odds & ends for various projects. As we were leaving, we spotted this lil guy trying to shade himself under my truck! Thank God, we saw him hiding and relocated him to a safer place.

Always a great place to sell scrap metal. It is even better to buy scrap and recycled or repurposed items. They have a huge amount of stuff to find just the right peice or part you need you can't find anyplace else.

Finally recycling is back up and running just wish the mckinleyville recycling was open again.... but this place had decent people working for them....thanks for being open for us..

Every time I've been there I found what I was looking for and the people there are awesome.

While some minor improvements have been made since changing ownership, there seems to be less available usable materials then before. Maybe a win some lose some?

Helpful workers in the yard and in the office. Great place to take your medal and you even get paid for it a buck for 100 lb

It's so awesome to have a place to bring your 'junk'. They even have room for the after hours dumping and it's cool. Be respectful, always, get treated same.

My new favorite place to go!! Gonna keep going back here before buying new again! I love refurbishing pieces so this place is my new playground!!! I don't even mind the mud after it rains but you definitely can't be afraid of getting your hands dirty...just another part of its charm. The people are incredibly nice and helpful too and without their kindness I wouldn't even consider coming back!!!!

This place was slipping years ago. People were so rude and particular. New management is great, keep up the good work.
