My experience at Westside Auto Dismantling was appalling, primarily due to the shocking lack of professionalism and hostile attitude displayed by the manager on duty.
I had visited the late model section during my trip, but the part I located and brought with me was clearly sourced from an older vehicle (specifically a 2003 Chevrolet Suburban). Immediately after exiting the late model section, and before I could even get to the counter, the manager intervened and immediately accused me, entirely without basis, of removing this specific 2003 part from the designated "late model" section.
This accusation was not only false but nonsensical, as a 2003 model year vehicle would never be classified as "late model" inventory at any reputable dismantling yard. When I attempted to explain the provenance of the part, the manager escalated the situation by aggressively grabbing the item out of my hands and outright refusing the sale. This false claim was further undermined when the staff member in the late model section claimed not to have seen me there, confirming the manager was acting purely on assumption and hostility.
The manager’s behavior was completely disrespectful and hostile. Customers should not be subjected to false accusations and punitive actions by management. This yard lost a sale and future business due to the manager's egregious lack of judgment and extreme unprofessionalism. I strongly advise potential customers to look elsewhere for their parts needs.
Poor customer service and the owner or manager has no regard for his customers I will not use this place it is a total ripoff and they don’t give refunds unless you pay for warranty which makes no sense to expensive for minor parts a bigg thumb down
They said I couldn't come in and said they were closed when they close at 4pm and I got here at 3:30 and didn't let me in horrible place false advertisement
Really bad customer service and infrastructure of this business is a joke. They will not give you any information on vehicles even through thier name has Dismantlers. More like pick n pull, at least they have inventory list. It's time to step out of the stone age.
Every time I go there as a last resort. Or the last option. I get reminded why I don't like going there. Overpriced. Bad customer service. Limited on vehicle selections. And the guy at the booth is not helping at all. Just says it's whatever they have available . Pointless and waste of time.

They don't keep stock of the cars in the yard, and the prices are all over the place, don't trust the prices listed on the wall the cashiers will make up all sorts of excuses to change their listed prices on the wall, I had to wait 5 minutes for the supervisor to make up a new price on something I purchased before, the same item I bought last summer for $12, the manager of the place now gave me the price on, and it now costs $20 for the same item, honestly I would suggest to go to pick n pull or I pull u pull, if you can, over this place, at westside they charge you a non refundable $1 to use a wheel barrow and they do not respect your time or effort, I would have given 0 stars if I could the place is dangerous and I hope the better business bureau pays them a visit send undercover agents you will see some shady ethics here.
This place is trash! They are going broke so they are overcharging for small items! Also the Asian security guard was basically undressing my 18 year old daughter with his eyes! Practically drooling on hisself. I will never go here again! They are crooks!
Cashiers were very helpful they explained the warranty to my dad. I feel like the price was cheap for a door for his 2000 Chevy pickup because when I priced it out online it was $300 & we only paid $70. WOW!!!! Now that is cheap I don't understand what these other people are talking about. My dad was very happy with his purchase & will keep going. Employees @Westside you are doing a great job thank you
im going to be nice and give them 2 stars. messy yard. you can not pay with you debit card to get in. Do not come on sundays, you will not have access to 30 -35 new cars on the yard, they are fenced off.
The customer service there is almost non-existent. I went in today for a trunk liner for my car. 3 days ago I went and it was 17.99 plus tax. I go today and they charge me $30 and it was the owner with the Texana hat. He said it in such a disrespectful way and just walked off as if the world revolved around him.
iPull-uPull has a loyalty rewards program as well as Pick-N-Pull. I would recommend everyone else take their business there and not this highly unorganized junkyard that is managed poorly and obviously have people working there with no experience in automotive part sales whatsoever.
Prices here are high and you got to buy warranty separate if not you can't exchange if it doesn't fit or it doesn't work,and no money back just credit, other junk yards have better deals
There is a good chance you could make an expensive job dirt cheap if you know what your doing with what westside auto has to offer. Don't let the prices hold you back if your comparing to auto zones and oh really there is a difference. Pay for the warranty and you can't go wrong if you know what your doing.
They had what I was looking for but When shopping are you better hope you pull a good part because just in order to get A1 exchange only within 30 days you have to pay for the warranty if you don't pay their warranty if it don't work your burnt. At least the Pick-n-Pull you get a free 30-day change without limit. I don't think I'll be shopping here again if I can avoid it
Very rude employees that don't care about their customers. I've never been so mistreated by any employees as bad as these employees here. They are rude and very disrespectful towards me and other customers in line in front of me. The prices are not fix and highly adjustable to simply make the owners more profit. I will not go back there ever again. I recommend anyone who wants to be treated like a customers shop elsewhere!!!! P.S. their selection of cars and parts are non existence. Nor do they have large variety of vehicle and the one they do have are scatter and not in order of make or models. Just go shop elsewhere not worth the insult!!
They make up their own prices on the parts. The owner is a joke and so is his son. They’re both very rude and don’t care about the customer either way. They have a very “were better then you and we don’t need your business anyway” attitude. The owner would rather junk stuff then sell it for a cheaper price. Worst customer service. The entire experience there is laughable.
Only thing holding this place from being great is the sorry excuse for a "warranty" they offer. 10% for a 30 "warranty" and that "warranty" is good for a 1 time exchange. If after that exchange doesnt work out, there goes your money.
Giving it 2 stars simply because they have a good variety of vehicles and are open 7 days a week. Theres no reason I need to be checked with the metal detectoe like I'm at the damn airport when I enter and when I leave. Your a junk yard, your not that important.
What an evil company !!! If i can give ZERO star I will. They will rip you off however they can. They will offer you warranty then when you try to return to get credit (not even a refund like any other wrecking yard like pick n pull), they will mention you if you bought the warranty. If you didn't guess what, they just raped your butt. I bought couple doors from them, NOT EVEN an hour i came back i wanted to switch my door hinges. They still want to charge $10 dollars for warranty to exchange the parts that I just took off right in front of them. I made the wrong move on getting the wrong door hinges out. They don't care to listen but i got raped by them. Guess what people, they charge $16 a piece to door hinges. Not like any others wreckers which they have two separate prices for complete door with hinges or not. But they will charge you separately and $64 dollars for 2 doors and $128 dollars extra if you buy 4 doors which is complete rip off. they should try to work with customers but their customer service is just way below par. The ladies who works there, blaming on the business practice they do but no body works with customer even help at all. Even the security guys who stands there doing nothing, they have nothing pick on and they try to pick on people who is try to open the door slightly so that we can get our paid parts out of the yard. They give people hard times, too. Overall of operation is just out run and no body seems give cares about anything. And Just look at the overal Google reviews!!! 2.7 stars. I wish they are a lot lower but whoever put high rating on stars must be paid by Westside. People be Aware !!!!!!
This was my first time here, the entrance was a bit confusing as to where it was but the security officer helped point the direction, which was very helpful. Admission was $2.00, not bad really, they searched our bags upon entering and then stamped our hands and in we went. The place is very well kept, no junk on the walk paths to trip over or go through your shoe, they keep things picked up. There are many workers around the grounds so I imagine if you had a question they could help, we were lucky and found what we needed within the first few minutes we were there. We went and paid and were offered the option to purchase a warranty for the parts we bought, which I thought was amazing. Considering that it is a junkyard, it was a very good experience. We will return here whenever another used part is needed.
Total BS The prices listed on the their pricing chart are not what they charge you at the register. I'm not talking core prices, They said their was a mistake on the price sheet. On multiple parts? I went threw all the work of pulling the parts and would not pay double what the price sheet list! So I took the good parts a pulled and threw them on the ground out in their yard! The other yard have better prices and no BS! Plus the guy giving the prices doesn't speak a word of English. You lost another Customer for life!
I like West side Evrey one their is kool im seeing all these negative reviews but i bet if that was your buinsess you would do the same thing your mad ethier because you got caught taking. Stuff that aint yours their doing their job stop been cheap asses And pay up or you can go buy it new dont get mad beacuse their doing their job if you cant afford it new then why complaint buying it used im stating facts so that been said dont like it dont dont go business still keeps going best yard cleanliness best inseen so far and if u dont. Security really? They made me remove my jackets because my jackets had metal buttons that come in the jacket. After buying my engine the curly headed lady in the front charging was a real jerk. She has a nasty attitude and makes fun of her customers for saying its expensive. Yeah right. All the employees mocked me including who i assume was the OWNER.
Good thing i dont live near this city. Ill stay in the local Stockton junk yards than make a trip to that junk yard even if i can't find the engines i need. Never going back.
Never going here. Prices are way too high for a junkyard where I have to pull my own part IF they have it. They have no inventory information. Then the exit pat down? What am I fitting in my pockets? Screws? How much could they have lost to that? Guess the high price is for the Fort Knox "security". Customer service is horrible.
Is a junk yard where i can find the part you need,before, the prices was more cheaper... but since the last year they increase the price a bit.... i have not complain about the security guy with the metal detector, he is a cool man doing his job.... the complain is vs the owners or management.. how they have in mind somebody will take out a motor or transmission into the packets... hellow!!!.

i guess i got my part as a good thing, but i was searched and patted down like if i was going to take a flight to another country. They have 4 rings of security and it really does get annoying. I will refuse the pat-down next time im not no dog
