WORST EXPERIENCE ! IF I ASK FOR A BIN TO PUT SCRAP METAL IN THEN THATS WHAT I SHOULD GET - INSTEAD I GET QUESTIONED IF IM GOING TO BE ABLE TO FILL THE BIN UP AND HESITANT TO GIVE ME A BIN , THEN I FILL IT UP AND ASK FOR A SMALLER BIN TO FINISH DUMPING MY SCRAP METAL AND I GET QUSTIONED AGAIN AS IF IM WASTING THIER TIME - WHAT DIFF DOES IT MAKE ! TAKE MY METAL ! ITS WHAT U DO NO ? TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE WILL NEVER USE THEM AGAIN !
They loved me when I was bringing in a 20 yard trailer full of metal and alluminum but when I brought my little trailer and waited 30 min to get on the scale they were pretty rude and kicked me out gave them the scrap metal this time for free as a going away gift look at the other reviews lady's in the office were rude
Very helpful staff. I was in search of some scrap metal for an art project and one of the guys found the perfect piece for me. They are professional, organized, and nice.
Came here for the first time to sell scrap metal and the lady in the office wasn’t very welcoming or helpful at all. We didn’t know where to park so they can weigh the metal we had. They pay $5 per ton for regular metals and we came out with $11, not worth it for the trouble we had.
I called to see how much they charged for a fridge that I was planning on recycling with them and the receptionist didn’t tell me what time they closed since it changed to 4:30pm, so I based it on the online time which said 5pm and when I got there at 4:40 they were already closing and people were leaving in which they still wouldn’t take my fridge even though they were in the wrong so I went to another recycling center and they lost a customer.
They provide no instructions and even when you call to ask for a price no one mentions they are cash only until you're at the window. Wouldn't use this place unless you have fridges because they're the only facility that takes them in Fresno.

THESE GUYS WILL RIP YOU OFF AND TREAT YOU LIKE YOUR THE THIEF, AND I NEVER EVEN SAID A WORD I LET THEM DO WHAT THREY DID CAUSE I WAS CURIOUS IF THEYD BE FAIR. THEY STUCK A MAGNET TO MY STAINLESS STEEL(which at the grade IT WAS AND MOSTY IS DOES) SAID IT WAS JUST REG STEEL THEN SAID MY COPPER THAT WAS BRIGHT AND SHINEY WAS ALUMINUM AND PAID ME $9,95 FOR EXACTLY WHAT SKEES PAID ME $98.00 FOR. THEN SAID I HAD TO WAIT 3 DAYS. I DIDNT ARGUE LESSON PAID FOR NEVER EVER EVER GO HERE UNLESS YOUR AFFILIATED WITH THEM MAYBE WHAT A JOKE THIS PLACE WAS . HAD TO GIVE 1 STSAR TO POST OTHERWISE MINUS 5
Came here today to recycle aluminum cans. I spoke to the first person I saw which was an employee on a forklift and asked him if they accept aluminum cans he just shook his head at me and then continue to ignore me as if I wasn't even there extremely rude for absolutely no reason. He was clearly unhappy at his job and I'm sure there's a reason for it I would not recommend going here. We ended up going to Fresno recycling and they were helpful, kind, courteous and a much better alternative.
Retired my car here, they were fast and nice. But I got my phone stolen by another customer and they did not care at all i asked to use the phone to call the cops and they straight up told me no.
Amazing experiance to see a multi-story crane with a pick-up sized magnet collect all the scrap metal out of the bed of your truck. I was green to the experiance, but the people were friendly and patient with me.
Friendly. Organized. Deducted a star for: They charge $20 to take my old refrigerator, $10 for my old stove. There's also a 2 day hold on funds if you drop off scrap metal. I dropped off some copper, and received a fair price. They will mail me the check.
Was there to turn in my old car which had seen better days. Not much interaction with anybody except through a window. Very professional & had everything resolved in about 15 minutes.
They close way too early I get out of work at 3:30 and they close at 4 I had to leave early from work. Other than that it was a fairly quick process to sell my car here even though there was a decent amount of people coming and going (about 6 people within the 25 minutes that I spent there)
New girl “TIKA” is extremely rude and should be replaced immediately. No sense of what customer service is and looks at you like your stupid when she’s talking to you. Once she found out I’m a loyal customer at SA Recycling her attitude changed immediately (fake) but she shouldn’t have that attitude at a professional workplace to begin with. I can assure you that I’m not the only person that thinks that. Others have complained about TIKA and her rude attitude. The other girl can use some customer service training too. I hope management games this serious and implements training on how to treat and talk to a customer who is being your business. SA Recycling you can do better.
I took the same amount of Metal file cabinets to both Schnitzers and SA. Both full loads on the same truck. All metal cabinets they were not only rude and rushed me out of their yard. One of the field guys passed by me and said "You better hurry up" the Difference from both locations was $228. That's insane!. They pay you $70 a ton for clean Tin versus everyone else $120. I will NEVER go back nor send any of my guys to recycicle here. Go to Schnitzer's they're polite and the guys running the yard are awesome. I own a junk removal company so we recycle as much as possible and always looking for the best price and good customer service in town.
Website falsely advertises. I got a quote for my car 265. When i got there they only gave me 54.
This place is good to dump stuff you want to get rid off. If you get money thats like and extra. For full cars nothing like taking it to a junk yard. Other than that the process is easy and quick.
My late Taurus is the second car I’ve retired by way of the CA-BAR program (clunkers for cash). My experience with SA was nothing like the previous (the locally authorized dismantler was a self serve parts yard at that time). There were a couple people being assisted ahead of me and I still had my check in hand less than 30 min after driving onto the lot. Everyone involved was competent and made the process frustration free.
i took a truck full of iron and aluminum stuff and they only gave me 70!!!
they under pay you basically stealing from you!! when i got home and actually looked at the receipt it said the paid me for TIN!! when the majority of the stuff there was aluminum and iron/steel!!
GO SOMEWHERE ELSE THEY WOULD PAY BETTER SOMEWHERE ELSE!! NOW I KNOW MYSELF TO GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!
