Pine Towing JunkYard in Richmond (CA)

Pine towing , decided to charge me for equipment that they did not have to use for my vehicle and proceeded not to refund me my additional 85.00 that was charged. I had a person in attendance as my vehicle was towed and was also told that if a person was not there I would pay the 85.00 anyway in which I’m glad I did have someone there…the supervisor told me he did not even know what kind of tow truck was sent out initially… then proceeds after I told him I would be disputing this charge with my bank to call me back and deliberately yelled at me and tell me he was un interested in hearing what I was saying as they where in the right and I have had my vehicle towed over 10 times and not one time has anyone ever had to use additional anything to put my vehicle on a flat bed…. I will never be using there service again as the internal SUPERVISOR I SPOKE WITH IS TRASH… also proceeding to say that they have pictures and videos of my vehicle which is absolutely fine because my bank will also see in comparison of my previous tow truck experience the big difference 😊 Also seeing I was told all calls are monitored and recorded as a customer service escalation supervisor I know exactly how most softwares work when screening calls which indeed is a plus side for me in this situation 😂 If in anyway I am harassed after this review I will be seeking legal action against ALL EMPLOYEES

Juan was respectful and professional. He held a conversation while safely towing my vehicle. Having to tow your vehicle can be stressful situation but it gets much easier when your driver handles the situation so seamlessly. If the rest of the drivers in this company are half as good as Juan then you have nothing to worry about.

Quite frankly, I think I was lucky or something but there’s a few people here who seem to have had a bad experience, for me I had my driver show up to pull my car out of a ditch after I hydroplaned. Unfortunately my car had some damage due to me smacking straight into the guard rail but luckily I had a pro tower named Juan who maneuvered my challenger right out of there. literally a 2.5 ton car and to be honest the job looked like it needed a second tow truck and somehow he pulled it off with his 1 and finished in less than 10 minutes plus extra points since he was easy to talk to. 10/10 best tow and the dispatch time was only 25 mins. definitely recommending to my parents and the rest of my friends

They have no class . Business is not worth it. They lied about the wait time. Twice. I waited for two and a half hours. While I watched them lied about traffic and over charged me.

I recently had a wonderful experience with Pine Towing. When my car battery died in a parking lot, I called them for help and they came to my rescue in no time. Their fast service was exceptional and they were able to get my car back on the road.

Juan was awesome someone hit my car and ran in west Oakland and he made a stressful situation better and the process was smooth fast and seamless I will definitely call again if I need too.

Scheduled a towing truck for pick up and drop off from 10-11am. Called at 10 was then put on hold for 30 mins then called again. I was put on a 10min hold. Finally, got an eta for 15mins (10:55) waited till 11:10 to call again and was put on hold for another 20mins. At 11:30 I got an eta of 7mins it’s now 11:45 so I’ve canceled. Do not lie to your clients and make them wait. This was a scheduled pick-up

My experience was not the best. My car fell in a ditch on a Saturday morning. They asked me for my credit card in order to secure service. They asked for photos. They told me I would have to sign a waiver prior to service. After all of that was done, they quoted me $185 for getting my truck out of a ditch, as a starting fee. They told me they would charge me a $45 cancellation fee if I cancelled. It was 8:30 AM, so I said yes to all of this because I was blocking the parking entrance to a senior building. Then I waited and waited and waited for the call from the tow truck driver or the truck. Neither materialized. Then I felt I should cancel and I was willing to pay the $45 cancellation fee, that's how desperate I was. I called a different nearby service first, and to my surprise, the same operator responded. They told me "we use the same dispatch so stop calling other towing services." No one said, "we're very busy and it looks like it will take us longer to get there." I called back and they put me on hold several times, until I was finally able to talk to someone and cancel, 90 mins after my first call. I called a towing service that was located much farther away and their tow truck arrived in less than 30 minutes. Their very professional operator got me out of the ditch and charged me HALF of the fee I was quoted by Pine. The good: Pine is upfront about the costs, fees and waiver. The bad: be prepared to wait without updates. The ugly: they want your money.

Called them to help replace my battery. They took a little longer to get here than I expected but once our tech, Guy, got here, he finished the work quickly and gave recommendations on how to preserve my battery health. Super easy to work with, definitely recommend.

Jimmy the lifesaver was very kind, genuine, and honest. He helped me to understand what went wrong with my car and what I can do next time I find myself in a situation like this. He is very personable and gave great service!

Very responsive, however we called to cancel with in 15 minutes on a 1.5 hr. time period to perform and wanted to charge $50.00 We would have paid it, if We new in advance.. the call was to unload a car from a trailer, the requested fee was 165.00 which we agree The client had secured another service towing com. for 65.00 with out us knowing. I guess clarity on cancellations, was a big No No..

These folks were awesome! Polite and courteous! Called, got a quote, scheduled a time for the next day. The gentleman showed up on time, loaded the car and off we went. Great price and not a glitch! Who could ask for more!!

Guy and Jamal were great! They are surgeons with their flatbed. Had my struck stuck in a very steep driveway and unable to be shifted into neutral. They were able to Houdini it onto their truck and get it to the dealership no problem. Great team and really made my day. Thanks!

Bad service. Waited more than 10 hours for them to show up. When you call them to get an ETA they will tell you 45 minutes every single time. I would NOT recommend them at all.

Jimmy really was a lifesaver! I had locked my keys in my car at a gas station. After calling other places i found the best price here. Jimmy was very friendly and professional! I will call them again.

I am not going to lie, I am terrible with directions, especially when driving somewhere I am unfamiliar with. So you can imagine how panicked I became when my car got a flat in Richmond. Fortunately, my friend told me about a great place to call in case I did get stuck… Pine Towing. From the moment I called I knew everything was going to be okay. They were reassuring, friendly and patient. They quickly found me and fixed my tire in absolutely no time. The price was more than reasonable and I was confident that the repair job they did was done well. I would recommend Pine Towing to anyone.

I was beyond impressed with pine towing company. Guy responded promptly and expertly maneuvered his truck in a way I would not have believed if I didn’t see it. Our AWD truck was parked in a manner that I did not believe it could be retrieved. He used a number of tools/slides to get the vehicle out of a tight pocket avoiding homes, fences, trees, and other cars. All the while he did it with a reassuring friendly smile. I hope you never need a car towed. If you do I strongly recommended calling pine towing. They will get the job done!

Easily one of the best towing services I have ever used. Instead of the driver being surly and seeming like he just cannot wait to get rid of your car, Jimmy seemed like he was more than happy to take care of me and my car. He towed it to a local mechanic and I was on my way before I knew it! Overall, it was a great experience, and next time my car breaks down, i hope it is somewhere where Pine Towing can take care of me!

Prices are too high. They quoted me $120 for a 7 mile tow service. The girl on the phone acted like I was getting a good deal. I called another tow service. They charged me $65 flat rate for the same 7 mile tow. Do yourself a favor and call around.

I needed my vehicle towed quickly due to flooding!!! They were friendly and very fast with service. I highly recommend this business if you need quick assistance.

No stars! Called to request a quote regarding a landlord and just kept getting transferred to two different women back to back. Looks like someone didn't want to do thier job. Don't waste your time with them.

The tow truck driver was on time, got the job done quickly and he was very nice. It was an excellent experience. I hope I don't need a tow again anytime soon, but if I do I'm most likely going to call them again!
