I just figured I would take the time to write about my experience. My r.v. was stolen, we had been living in it for over 3 months. A 34' Winnebago Chieftain. The person who stole it was the person I bought it from... Anyways Fernandez towing had impounded the vehicle from the person who stole it from me. You would think as soon we found out where it was we could get our house back. Nope they would not release it to us without the original documents and a police release. They destroyed it a week later. And put us on the street. When we spoke with the owner he was at first sympathetic about what happened. It just so happens that he had another Winnebago 32' that was impounded. He told us if the owners didn't claim it in 30 days he would sell it to us for 500$ He told us to be at the yard on Saturday before 10am and we would have a place to live again... However when we showed up at 9:30am that day, had forgotten about the deal he promised and destroyed that r.v as well. So our rating on the business. If there where negative stars we would maybe be able to make a score... Let's see my grandfather's fishing poles where in the r v storage along with my families cameo ivory lockett that we attached to a gold chain and made it part of a dress for my fiancee... Gone, oh yeah my guitar hanging on the wall, priceless most of my recordings were done on that because it sounded so nice... As well as everything we owned. And then for them to get our hopes up and demolish not 1 but 2 vehicles that would have kept us from being homeless outside in the elements. Completely aphauling experience. F -
I’m extremely disappointed with this towing company. I contacted them to remove an unauthorized vehicle from a clearly assigned parking space at San Marcos Villas, and they assured me a driver would be dispatched. No one ever showed up. I waited far longer than necessary, and there was zero communication, zero follow-through, and zero professionalism.
A towing company’s job is to respond when they say they will—especially when a vehicle is illegally occupying someone else’s space. Instead, I was left with no resolution and a major inconvenience. Completely unacceptable experience. This has happened more than once, it seems to be an ongoing problem.
I went yesterday for Post-Inspection and dropped my dad’s 25 years old Toyota Corolla off. Service was excellent and fast. They even gave us a ride to the Bart station when everything was done. Thank you!!!
I was stranded on Ygnacio Valley Road up by Lime Ridge. My auto club contacted Five K, who then contacted me. They arrived in a timely manner. The tow truck driver was friendly, courteous, and professional. They delivered my vehicle to my designated destination with no problems.
Says they close at 4pm and he closes before. And called to inform him I was on the way and still closed when I pulled. No customer service at all. How are running a business. If you plan on closing earlier then what is posted change your business hours!!! Real inconvenient and waste of time and gas
got my car towed 3 times by this joke of a place. i wasn’t parked on a red or on the street, i was parked next to my garage, just about to leave for work and then my car gets towed. they obviously have nothing else better to do and decide to tow cars in my neighborhood. currently it’s 1:47am and there’s no parking in my neighborhood. hope they don’t tow my car again and make me pay 400 dollars!!
If I could rate this place NO stars I would. This tow company prowls my neighborhood and tows cars away with no warning(unless they have orange warnings tags left to place on cars…or so the owner says.Unfair part is they towed my car that was in-front of my garage at 4:35am and when I called at 5:30am because I reviewed my home camera the towing they quoted me $450-$500 to release my car at that time or I’d have to wait until 8am to pay $350. Not only did the tow company take my car but the man who handed me my paperwork also told me that they put orange tags as a warning on cars but apparently ran out of warning tags when it came to MY car that was NOT parked in a red zone or in the street. Pathetic, biased and unprofessional since not everyone is getting the same treatment. And seems like the tow company is bored because in my street cameras I have the tow truck driving 3 more times. With inflation and the HOA fees we pay for in my neighborhood I’d never think I’d deal with a ridiculous company that probably makes most of revenue from towing cars randomly in my small new development area. They can’t pick and not pick cars they decide to tow especially if I’m parked on my property.
They wont let you out back to search for parts anymore and once i did get back there( the guy who escorted me back was cool)i didnt find my part anyway.
What's not to like about this Wrecking Yard! Mike is a great guy and he always has taken good care of me and my vehicles. Found a 1998 Dodge RAM 1500 in there and for less than $300 parted out my truck (hood&grill, rt. Front quarter panel, air conditioner compressor, Lt. Tail Lite, and what else) and all the striping off the parts was done by the Bully Boys! Thanks a million Freddie and Pepe!
They towed my car and ask me to pay $400 I even came faster than my car that they towed. It was 10mins from my place. and waited more than 1 hr. I have to report it to Business Bureau that they are towing my car but Im not sure if they have a business license for towing my car. It says car wrecking...BBB WAS CONTACTED. awaiting for the result.
Always help Steve is like family to my family and friends. Personally I know Mike Fernandez and he's a very good guy and a big part of the community of Pittsburg
They gave me a great price after they towed my home/rv!! But everything I owned plus my batteries were stolen out of it within 4 days of being towed..and they are not supposed to mess with any belongings for 30 days unless the owner signs the vehicle over to them.before hand..Bad Business
Called beforehand to ask if they would take wheels. They said yes absolutely. Upon arrival I was sternly told I couldn't drop them off because they had too many. Made me waste my time. It would have been completely ok but the guy had a huge attitude.
I've been going to this wrecking yard for years. It's basically a Pick-n-Pull type yard. Their prices are reasonable. Also they have a surprising number of late model cars. Parking is a little tight when they get busy.
Awesome place. Staff is so helpful and amazing! Was in and out fast when I went in for a windshield wiper arm. I believe Steve?? At the front desk helped me out, awesome guy. Happy customer!
Friendly... Getting my car back cost me 500 bucks, but it wasn't their fault that the property owner at the apartment I was staying at didn't bother to notify the people listening to the stay at home order that they had to move their vehicle. This place gave me no problem with using two cards plus cash to pay the fees.
I wish I could give less than one star, I have been waiting over two weeks to have my car picked up, each time I call I’m told that I’m next in the list and they have my info right in front of them. Then I’m promised to be first the next day and wait and wait and not even a call to say they can’t come. Thanks for wasting my time! You missed out as my car has brand new innards and tires, could have made you some decent income......
I personally didn't know Mike Fernandez who he was until I spoked with him about a worker speeding up and down the street where i live and he approached the issue right away
Very nice guy a very down to earth on everything .very helpful worker's in his yard the Hispanic personal there have help slot every time I go there .and on behalf of his worker the driver turn out to be a really great human being he has reduced his speed came and apologise to me and actually has been doing great on speed thanks Mike Fernandez.
They have very good price for used parts the parking its very limit so get early as u can or park on the street they have many marks and decent models and years for parts u can pick up u parts or u can ask to pull it but i think its fees for it.
Very knowledgeable of their stuff. They work with you when your money is funny. Got great deal on rim and tire. Will be coming back to get more tires from them soon. Excellent customer service
Great place very good experiance all around def. Recommend to anyone, they have a good batch to pick from, and that tall guy that works at the desk with the nice knew white truck, ya that guy hes pretty damn funny, nothing better then catching a good story and a laugh, keep the jokes coming bro.....
If i could put negative stars I would. Never use this lying, cheating, theiving company. Ever! Trust me. The driver ripped apart my truck while loading. My car was in hold for 3 days. They charged me for 5. And they stole a set of very valuable towing mirrors off of my vehicle. Trust me, DO NOT USE this company!
