This place was nothing but a complete waste of time. I found them off of Google, called them no answer. A guy called me back. I answered. They told me that they had what I was looking for and to combine that they would send me the address through text. I received the address through text message and responded and let them know that I would be there in three hours. My message was read an hour and a half after I sent that. And I showed up exactly within three hours even a little less. When I arrived, there was a girl at the Box who just said she didn’t know anything there, I told her it was OK. I would Google what I needed. I did Google it, and in the direction that she pointed me to, None of the batteries had tags on them with the information of what kind of battery it is., I asked her how I could tell which battery is which if none of them have information on them. She said that she again just didn’t know anything. I drove 35 minutes away for this. With the gas in a time I could’ve just bought a new one from Costco.

This business is a total joke. Went to get a transmission for a minivan and they sold me the wrong one saying and confirming that it was the right one over and over.
went down to get it returned/swapped for the right one but they were giving me a even worse transmission than that one I was planing on replacing.
There was this dude who seems to be the owners friend, such a lier if you ever talk to him don't even believe him is all a plan to scam you.

Pena sales are "as is". The buyer in an "as is" sale has the responsibility to check the integrity of what they are buying. Although many of the vehicles sold have unknown problems this business owner does his best, within reason, to make things right.
We went to Pena on a Saturday and everything was closed it close friend wanted to donate a car to Pena but they were not going to give paperwork or any type of form saying that they receive the car kind of sketchy honesty truth if you're not going to get any type of work saying that they took any type of vehicle in it's better not to do deal with them hope this helps

Bought an engine from this guy and it knocked from the jump. He jerked my chain for weeks about having another one. I finally told him I didn't want another engine because I lost in labor already and he hadn't produced a replacement yet so I pulled it and brought it back. When I get there he tells me that it is replacement only no refunds but still didn't have an engine to give me at that time. Refused to help me unload the engine from my truck. Luckily I paid with credit card and was able to do a chargeback. Terrible place. I'm sure the only reason they are open is because they are scamming people.
If I would give two ratings of this place. I’d give it:
4/5 stars because they have parts I needed for my project car. Only downside to that is its very muddy and they don’t have carts unlike the Pick n Pulls I know of
BUT I’m giving it a 1 star on overall experience because there was a guy that claimed that he works at that place and threatens to break my car just because I asked him politely to move his GMC truck with Cadillac rims to the side a bit so I can get out after I was finished loading up the parts I bought into my trunk. Now I’m now fearing for myself and my own personal vehicle that this one guy is gonna do something to me
I will NOT go back to this place ever again because of that one guy in a GMC truck with Cadillac rims being very hostile to another customer and threatening to break my car just because I politely asked him to move his truck to the side so I can get out
There straight forward, I’ve bought parts from them, I’ve gotten a tow from them and I’ve bought a car from them. I can rely on them with my cars. All my family goes with Peña’s for any car needs. Go to another place and they will charge you extra for everything and anything, but not at Peña’s they are the best in the Bay Area
They need to update their hours because its says they are open 7 days a week... went down there on Sunday at 10am and barely made it since I planned on pulling the part I needed to make it back home. Wasted gas and my time doing that, loading up all my tools, made plans for a Sunday working on the car because they can't give consideration to people doing what I did. I might be the only one complaining on here but plenty of people have the same complaint. Be courteous of other people's time. What a joke

Since relocating in the East Bay Area 20 + years ago from the peninsula, I have come to rely on local businesses for eclectic solutions. Pena's tops the list.
Over priced, unorganized yard, spider webs everywhere I'm sure there is loads of OHSA environmental fines to be had. Best advice clean your yard charge what pick n pull does and you'd see a lot more customers.
Bought an engine for a boat. They agreed to a 60 day warranty. Engine was no good and they did not keep their word. Poor ethics. They won’t answer the phone and the main office was of no help
We arrived shortly before closing time, but we were able to look through their inventory for our specific needed item and found what we were in search of fairly quick and easy. It was very helpful to us that their items/parts were organized and easily accessible.
Great place to get parts for a lot of vehicles. I managed to find 4 Chevy HHR's with a lot of premium parts (fog lights, roof racks, factory mud flaps, running boards, etc)
Prices are usually very fair too. Doing some research on the parts you are going for is a good idea too.
Nice big lot. $2 entrance fee. Owner and workers are chill and fair. Laid back atmosphere.

My mother needed a transmission for her minivan, they told her they had it, when the mechanics showed up to pick it up they were trying to give him one for a completely different car.
When my mother called them back they said they would have it in a couple days, couple days went bye still no transmission, i flew down to another place and found the transmission, asked my mom to call back get her money back for the item they couldn't produce, the owner said they didn't do returns, and that he had the transmission right there and that the mechanic was contacted and should be on his way, the mechanic is a personal friend of mine and said he never got a call . I called him and asked to please return the money because we had found the item else were, he told me the same thing they didn't do returns, long story short we called the credit card company she used, now trying to get her 900$ back for an item they never gave us, the best he could do is give my mother credit for a junk yard ( when will a 63 yr old lady need more things from a junk yard?) . I'm reporting them to every outlet i can because the way he is conducting business is totally a scam and illegal i hope this post saves alot of people from the headache we are dealing with now.

This is there first location since they have two. I recommend this spot highly as it's a large yard and the staff here are knowledgable. But you must lick it yourself. So being mocha Kelly inclined does hell here.
Could easily have been 5 stars...very close. There somewhat helpful...then again i forget its a pick and pull style yard. I didnt know they had a second yard so i spent their open hrs lookomg in the smaller yard. The yard is laid out in just a way that u get to see everything they have...easy to lose ur way...and thats in the smaller yard.

It's definitely a challenge moving through the yard, there really is no other way to put it. No rows, isles, or much order at all to the inventory. That said, once I found the vehicle I was looking for, everything else was 5 stars. Friendly helpful And cheerful staff, excellent pricing! Just the 'parts is parts' amiable attitude of the staff, had me smiling way before the cash register dinged.
Allot of newer cars. Also a good place to find used tires and stock rims. Always has new vehicles coming in daily. They also offer towing, auto body repair "including paint" and auto repair services.
I really liked this place. I have searched in 2 states for parts and found nothing that met the needs I had. At penas, they had an over abundance of what my truck needed.
