As a semi-truck driver, I strongly advise staying away from this area. The streets are extremely tight, traffic is heavy, and cars are often parked along the roads, making it nearly impossible to maneuver. Entering or exiting is a real challenge, and turning with a large vehicle is very difficult. Not recommended for trucks at all. Stuff are very nice and friendly.
Always helpful people working. This is my only go to recycle place anymore, and I live almost an hour away. I recommend this place for copper recycling, nowhere in cc county, they rip you off.
As a truck driver, this place frightened me going in. It's very small and tight. However, they were amazing at directing you around and clearing the cars out of your path. I never had to get out of my truck. They had no less then 2 helpers at any given time watching both sides of my truck. Once docked out was fast loading. Scale on site and they give you your axle weights. This place is top notch.
Organized, clean, and safety seems to be the priority, they guide all traffic, entering/exiting and inside amongst the vehicles and flows of movement, their job is to just pay attention. Everyone we encountered was nice and worked diligently. We presorted to the best of our knowledge, so the time we backed up to the dock to the time we collected our compensation moved along much more swiftly. I heard there may be a line at times, so be prepared or call ahead, it's worth the wait.
The people here are awesome and very friendly! I haven't found a better place for there prices. They come over right away and help you out and make everything super easy. Best recycling place around for sure.

As an experience driver I had so much difficulty leaving the facility in and out . Super tight turns and crazy traffic around 3.30 pm .
Staff was nice but that place simply shouldn't ve in residential area . Period .

It's all been said really if you read I think there's only 1 bad review maybe 2 but the 1 is such a made up story actually both because I've been going to this scrap yard for at least 15 yrs they are not prejudice. Their employees don't stand around doing nothing even back when that was written. So really 2 out of 68 they kick ass . Best place to sell your scrap in bay area. I've been to all of them. Arrons beats them all!!

Best rates for selling scrap metal. Only drawback is, when you're the best, you get an inflated ego. Not to say they don't deserve it. Just giving people a heads up. They know what they're doing. They've been doing it for a long time, and they're smart enough to be doing if long in the future. My best advise, separate everything that doesn't resemble on another. Like, thick stiff wire from thick easily bent wire. 'Cause they pay differently for either, and if you have the two mixed together, they pay the lower price for all of it. Also, good rule to remember, you can have copper in your brass, but not brass in your copper. Because brass has copper in it.
Update: nothing has changed. However, they've got some stainless steel chain for sale at $2 a pound. I bought 20 feet of the biggest size. 3 inch links 3/4 inch thick. Came to $90.00.
When I was am apprentice, I would come in weekly. I went to a few other scrap yards but realized quickly that Aarons is the best. Best prices and people. I miss their Saturday hours but these guys deserve a day off. I prefer the Hayward location because it's usually less busy.
This is the only scrap yard I will ever do business with. Employees unload your truck, car, or trailer no matter how big or small of a load you have. I have always felt like I am getting top prices and the best service from Aaron Metals.
Family-owned business the owner is great the two sons are excellent I've had nothing but great service there they always get by step loaded and pay for it right away 10 times better than any other scrap yard!!

Oakland. They help u as soon as you park. They make it nice n easy . And if u have a business license they give u cash the same day. Highly recommend then !
The best place to recycle your metals. They always pay top $ and you can get in and out pretty quick during the week. Saturdays can be a little hectic.
Drive in with your scrap metals or wires and they will test it,, weigh it and then issue a check. They will take your driver's license number and car plates information down. They are professional.
I have been a seller to Aaron Metals for 15 years and can with zero doubt say they are the highest prices paid for clean, sorted scrap metal in the bay area and beyond. They are honest in all aspects and would recommend them without hesitation to all that would listen. My recommendation would be if you have any questions on how to prepare your particular scrap for sale, contact them and let their experience and knowledge guide you to prices you will never find elsewhere.
Best recycling center in the bay area! Because of my occupation. I've been to alot of recycling centers around the bay. This is by far the most organized, efficient, honest, and best priced recycling center I've been too. No scamming, cheating you out of weight, or grade of metal. Also this recycling center does all the work. They unload your truck, separate metals in to bins, and push bins to scales. All you have to do is remove tie down straps, walk to scales once trucks unloaded, then show I'd. Once every bin is weighed. They give you a receipt to take to cashier's to get cash, or check.
I had an issue with picking up my check due to transportation problems but Mr. Aaron Forkash provided excellent customer service and handled it no problem and sent me my check even after it had been about month since i was supposed to pick it up.
Best Prices for copper and most other metals in the area, easy to drop off recyclables and pick up payment. Owner was affable & professional, and he even gave me a quick tour of the facility as I waited for my copper to be weighed just to be friendly. Cash or check payment after 3 day waiting period for non-ferrous metals as required by CA law. Bring valid ID or passport. No waiting period for recycling plastic bottles & aluminum cans, or ferrous metals.
Only drawback is their parking lot is very small, so there's sometimes a line of cars waiting to enter during their busy hours, but they have an on-duty traffic lady to mitigate traffic jams.
This place is a total joke in the heart of the Oakland ghetto. They allow crackheads to hang out on their property and harass people, while the employees stand around and do absolutely nothing all day long. Parking lot a nightmare and way too small. Nothing about this place is worth the drive

Its been years i havent been there but i got a lot of scrap copper, aluminum, brass, wires i know they are the highest pay, thats an hour and 25 min drive though, thats okay, ill update u guys
Best experience I've ever had at a metal recycling facility (selling copper and aluminum). Can't speak to the bottle/can experience but if it's half as easy as selling building wire, this is the place to go.
