One of their transport trucks threw rocks up at my windshield from two lanes over and cracked my windshield pretty significantly. I called the company to try to resolve things with them and they were completely unhelpful and inconsiderate.
The last time i went to Cass in Oakland, they processed my material and handed me a receipt. At no time was i informed of them changing my material classification. The receipt was completly in error and resulted in me losing a substantial amount of money and they had already discarded the material in question. if you go there beware because they will rip you off.
first time I went down to this recycle place the inspector at the yard!treated me very nice,he even told me the aluminum take it back to the front gate I will send you a forklift I couldn’t believe it, was a great time of my beginning!latter year things are totally different,inspector has been doing oposit direction If I didn’t have any tools and I forgot pice of plastic, my full load of metal will be at 50 percent of metal 50 percent of none good and it is just one piece of plastic that I forgot to remove it from my truck,in other words This was Victor,s bigest rat's nest
Polite, the employees answer your questions for the most part. They do take scrap metal from individuals. They want your fringerprint, which i'm not quite sure what for. Also, you have to sort your metals for the most part. And a 3 day waiting period to get paid, again not sure why.
I‘ve only been here a few times but when I was there I was treated right and they were informative. Very easy access through the back entrance for my large truck and most importantly the payment process is very efficient!
Great work ethics skills and safety practices here first time i came I was intimidated because there's a technique and a way that they do things here. now I love coming to watch the symphony of the experienced heavy equipment movers drivers old but I love this place they always have fair competitive prices.
Great place. just make sure you know what your taking and keep separate different materials if not it’s all going as one and it’ll be your fault lol other then that it’s got good personal and helpful.
I brought a truckload of scrap. HSS, HS, aluminum, brass, and a bunch of ferrous scrap. Old stock from a machinist's house. I have a new paper CA driver's license, my passport, my old out of state DL, and the woman behind the counter refused to accept my IDs. I live in San Mateo and was trying to help a friend remove junk off of their new property. HUGE waste of time and I've never been treated like that at any other recycler. She told me I could "donate it" since she "couldn't pay me. State laws.".
I have what a bunch of stuff there like Motors and brass and copper and aluminum, I check my receipt under yellow brass and for the motor and copper, cuz they didn't pay me , what they are supposed to pay me for according to the price guide , so I went back and ask them , and they say go talk to the manager name harry, which is the guy that calculated and sore out my stuff, I m pretty sure I know I got a couple pound of yellow brass , and 1-2 pound of copper , and he sat is all mix stuff and when I ask for them to review the video , he say I m not going to waste no time to review the tape for you , for over 2 - 3 dollar , which I know is more then that, this guy harry don't understand , even tho if it is for a dollar or a thousand dollar , that is not the problem , , is the principal , not to cheat no one , especially the one that work hard for their money ,! So may God be my witness, that if I had lie , or if he had lie ? For ever who had lie and is cheating the other person , may and hope God will teach him a lesson by letting him burn his tongue so that person will never lie or cheat on other people ,! May God be my witness, amen , so what I m trying to say is that this place is a rip off , I get more money at standard recycled , or anywhere else , even if I get less , fromantic other place , at least they are honest , I don't see, why is it so hard to take a look a the video of what I had bought there , but he say is a waste of his time , so I say this plcce suck, I bought in like 200 pounds of wire ,copper , and aluminum , and only got $44.06 , tell me , is that ridiculous or what
Like Google says you need to go first thing in the morning. Yesterday was my first time, in at 9:30 am and out by 10 am. Everyone was so nice and helpful, as I told them it was my first time there. Yes you have to back your trailer in, about 475 ft to the back. My trailer is about 8.5 ft x 17 ft. If you have a little truck you pull in and unload by hand. Well worth the trip & payment on the spot. Better than taking to the landfill and paying.
Quick fast service,but you'd better know how to back your trailer around in a busy surrounding of people ,objects,trucks,and other trailers,cuz it's a big place with a lot going on.no nonsense recycling.I've been there many times and I sure could use an account so I could bring my copper,brass,...not everyone shares my opinion but I scrap for real and for a living and for my dollar I choose CASS. ...jef reder bay point,ca
I brought in an old electric stove which was over 50lbs (all metal). When i went back to collect my money they only gave me $4.20. That's right Four dollars and twenty cents. These people ripped me off. If you are hauling in Refrigerators, Washers, Dryers, Stoves, and Dishwashers do not go to CASS, Inc. You're better off leaving those items in the street.
