Way over priced to tow a vehicle 3.3 miles away! $265 to tow 3 miles that’s way overpriced even I know this simply because I used to own a towing and recovery company! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY UNLESS YOUR A MILLIONAIRE!
If I could put a ZERO I would. Found them on NTTS breakdown. Was quoted $95 for a call out and 1.5 hours to arrive on site. When they called back after 3 hours, the call out fee was now $125. When I questioned it and asked for them to honor the $95, the GM Tim Moody hung up on me and refused to go out. Great way to do business and resolve an issue that your office created.
I don't know why these guys have such a low rating - they were pros. I had a difficult tow to a shop, vehicle suspension had failed on front wheel. They used sled/skate to get it on the flatbed and were very careful, no damage. They responded within an hour, rate was reasonable. Don't be scared off by their rating.
I was broke down on 49 and Steve from j hook towing and was very great and fast and friendly would highly recommend them for any needs small and heavy thanks j hook!
Was a bit concerned afer seeing the reviews but our driver, Steve, was nothing but helpful. Our car had broken down on the side of the road and he was very communicative about his arrival time and that he was stuck behind a wreck. He was very nice and even looked under the hood for us and figured out our issue. Made sure my friend and I had a ride home as well. The woman on the phone was not as stellar but got the job done so not many complaints there.
If you're worried about the customer service, I was informed that they got rid of the old drivers so you may have better luck. Ask for Steve, I guess. Either way, I was charged a decent amount. Hopefully we won't need them again but would definitely call again in a pinch.
GREAT prices, EXCELLENT customer service. I recently had to get my vehicle towed from the interstate to my house in the middle of the night. JHOOK was awesome, their dispatcher was quick to answer the phone, very polite/friendly. Their driver Tracy was awesome, he clearly had a lot of experience, efficient, and best of all he exceeded expectations. As a former tow operator, I understand that a fast response time is essential, Hooks dispatch and their driver Tracy clearly does too!! I won't ever use any one else.
DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE… Washington County Sheriff’s office had them tow my vehicle two hours after it had been broke down on the side of the road…. They used a “snatch” truck to tow my hummer h3 4x4…. Without disengaging the 4x4. Now it is more messed up than it was, and the driver conviently, cannot find the pictures of how they towed my vehicle without messing it up and are trying to claim they didn’t do any damage to my vehicle. So far it has had to have a new front axle, the shop is supposed to let me know what other damage they find.
Insane that this is even a legit business. Going through college kids apartments and towing cars for absurd reasons. I offered to move my car before they even had it on the truck and the old man laughed in my face. Sad that this is an actual profession for some people. Get a life
Those truck guys were horrible. So unbelievably rude. Towing college kids vehicles for the stupidest of reasons. Charging whatever price they choose on the spot. Going after students who are barely scraping by as it is, is honestly wild and very disturbing.
