I cashed in some cans, you have to go inside and get a number because sometimes it gets hectic with all the vehicles. That way you go in the order you showed up. Cashed in 54 pounds today, Friday October 3, 2025 @ .65/lb. The guy working can section was very friendly and helpful. I've never had any issues at Tri-State recycling, keep up the good work!!!
Never in my life have I seen anything as atrocious as the speed of the line that absolutely CRAWLS at Tri State Iron and Metal. Employees working the front counter are simply not efficient, and seem more concerned about whether someone pulls into a parking space than anything. Also, there are no signs to direct where the line begins so we stood in line for nearly an hour to be told that wasn't the line and that we're supposed to be in line behind 4 people that showed up after us. No, thank you. Very unprofessional.
I just drove all the way to the scrap yard for nothing there closed when did they start closing on Saturday I always thought unless it's a holiday they was open until 12 on Saturday.
This place literally stole from me I have the proof to the fact they paid me for a lower price than what I should have been paid. After being there for 3 hours with no employees helping to unload ( as they advertise ) and we're not friendly and we're lazy. They only gave me number 2 copper price for number 1 copper. Although the dollar difference was only $25. The point is they did not pay for what I brought. Also had aluminum rims and because one had been burned and a few others because they had some paint on them. And if there is any leaves pine needles or dirt that has fallen into your metal containers be prepared to pick each and every one out. I understand to a point that if there is a lot of trash missed in then they won't accept it, but a few pine needles or leaves come on. We live in Arkansas there are trees everywhere. So if you are looking to sell scrap metals I would say to go some other place, because the employees are rude and slow plus you are not able to see the scales showing the weight of your metals. So if you don't already have an idea of how much weight you have then you don't know if the prices you receive is what you are truly owed. The picture shows the #1 copper I had and the receipt shows that they only gave me #2 copper price. I will never go back and will never suggest this place to anyone.

I always go to this place to haul my scrap off. It is the only scrap yard in a long ways from my house. They are always pretty clean for a scrapyard. The employees there are really nice to me. Prices are lower than last year.
I drove over 30 miles to unload 4 bags of cans yesterday. .I arrived at 3:45, you have to get a ticker before unloading anything there..so I sat in line for ten minutes.there was no one giving out tickets, then a lady showed up and said the guy is not taking anymore cans today..this was at 3:53. I was told they were trying to avoid overtime..I'm trying again today to get rid of these cans..lol
I don't understand how ur buckets all weight different when they r the same I had four buckets tell me how two tared at 2 one at 4 and one at 110 they r all the same buckets I believe I got ripped off and not just that but they didn't even pay me for my copper #1 I got copper#2 twice when they told me to separate my #1 from my #2 I did and they still only to gave me #2 why did I separate them if u r just gonna pay what u want too anyways
Tri State was not really busy today but was rather slow at getting each person taken care of. Usually its not that time consuming as long as you do not have aluminum cans. The can line is always long and always backed up when im there. Overall tri state is a good place to recycle.
Beware I have seen the lady that works in the public scam people several time saying copper wire was not by holding the wire on top of the magnet. they will rip you off.
The older. Lady on front dock very rude other than her attitude everyone else was very professional people don't want to dill with her because she treateding people like we a trash
I wasn't thrilled. Every time in the past I had people unstrap and unload my truck and trailer. Not this time. I was told I needed to unstrap my load. I said ok despite I thought me walking around would be an insurance liability but ok. Then I was told I had to " help " the guy unload my truck despite me doing the majority of it. I wasn't prepared for this. I didn't dress to toss old rusty metal. I had places to go. I say again what about an insurance liability. I lost my balance trying to pull that metal out. What if I had fell? Do the higher ups know we are unloading our own metal is even happening? Also, what if someone isn't physically capable to do so. Disabled, elderly, etc.? This needs to be addressed. August 7th 2021
Came in to drop aluminum and the wait was soooo long I'm not the only one that left the other one that left said it was like that Friday too maybe they need to find another solution for aluminum cans maybe get a second machine
It was busy as usual but there again it a scrap yard the people there are nice and are not afraid to carry on a conversation as long as they are helping you. People there is no reason to threaten anyone over 5 or 10 dollars so please let's use our brains and manners while conducting business here
The Staff and employees are the best at Tri State Iron And Metal,. I've been going there for years and have never had a problem. Very professional kind and upfront.

Staff was very helpful, and pleasant to deal with. Got in, unloaded and out in less then an hour. The only draw back to the place is space. A little bit of a challenge to negotiate a truck and 53' trailer. But because the staff is helpful, it's not that big of a deal. They do very well working within the limits of what they have!
Worked a shutdown out here. Was a lot of fun because I love doing this kind of work. TSI&M definitely has got it together and brand new equipment to get it done. Great professional people to work with.
