This our favorite resale place to go. When we moved here from Texas we often went to Potters Thrift Store but after we found the Recycling Center we don't go anywhere else! The staff are the best and truly care about saving the planet.
I have rented several roll offs and taken trash or recycling items. The ladies have been so helpful and sweet. I will and would recommend them to anyone. If only they had trash pick up with small dumpsters. Then it would be over all best around! 😊

The staff here are very knowledgeable about materials that qualify for recycling and have helped me learn more about the trash and recycling stream.

Only county owned facility besides the library that I know of that people go to willingly spend their free time and money. Staff is super helpful and friendly in any weather or conditions. Also great place to find lots of bargains or cool project pieces. Not to mention recycling is important!:)
My family and I have been doing our recycling and thrift store shopping here for many years. We are Washington county residents but it is worth our time to bring our recycling to this center. Crystal Baker has been the best at customer service and has done a fabulous job at making sure her customer’s needs are being met. This is one of our favorite thrift stores as well. We’ve found many treasures there and we don’t get the feeling like we’re being taken advantage of. Crystal and her employees have made an impact on Madison county and the counties around it.
Has a variety of things. Word of advice if you buy electronics check to see is work before you purchase. I almost made that mistake today. I was looking at a small mixer. Plugged it in and it did not work. Also if you purchase DVD'S CDs or anything of that nature always look inside package to make sure everything is there.
I called ahead to ask if they were accepting cans and they said yes. When I showed up half an hour later they said our can hoppers are too full to accept cans
The people work hard and in all conditions. They are polite and very helpful in explaining where everything goes even if you have to drive around in a circle to take care of everything. Place has been cleaned up and is a pleasant place to do business. Great bargains in the resale shop.
Staff is helpful and polite! The parking is cramped and tricky, but once you get the system, you're set! Recycling is free, you can get money back for soda cans, and you might find a gem or two for cheap in their shop. Be sure to sort your recycling beforehand!
The people here are extremely nice and helpful. I've only had a positive experience here with the employees and director! I continue to use this facility!
Just dropped off at the Madison County Recycling center and I can't brag enough about the service we received. The new way it is set up makes for a smooth process. The employees are polite and very helpful under the leadership of Christal who is sweet as she can be. I Highly recommend them for all your Recycling needs.
I called to ask a question about recycling and the lady who answered was very rude and then she hung up on me. Typical Huntsville customer service. Or lack there of.
The Madison County Solid Waste and Recycling Center is a Godsend to this rural county. When I first moved to the county in the early 1990's most people disposed of their trash by burning or burying the trash. But Larry Karrigan-Winter and Gladys Turner saw the need for a way for Madison County residents to dispose of their trash and recycling in an environmentally sound way.
Now, after all these years, the Madison County Solid Waste facility is one of the top waste and recycling facilities in the State of Arkansas and is used as a template for other new facilities starting across the nation.
Besides disposing of trash, they take various recycling products such as plastics, glass, aluminum, steel, paper, cardboard, wood, oil and other hazardous materials. They also have a resell store where donated articles can be bought. Larry and Gladys have since retired in the last couple of years but they have left the facility in good hands and it continues to serve Madison County's great need to handle it's waste and recycling.
