Given Jesus Praise My son was serving a sentence in jail and had a encounter with Jesus. While there Jesus began changing him. When he got out he wanted to go to a faith based program that would help him grow in Jesus and build his firm foundation. Being his momma I read the bad reviews about this program but wanted to believe these bad reviews where miss spoken. BUT THEY ARE NOT, WHEN YOU READ THE BAD REVIEWS TAKE HEADTH TO THEM THEY ARE TRUTH. Today I took my son there. I myself was once in the same place the guys and girls are that show up to this program. I met a MAN named JESUS and HE CHANGED EVERYTHING ABOUT ME. So I know how Jesus sees each one of them. And it is not how this program sees them. Today when I took my son. He was dressed nice and had a necklace on that a friend of his gave him before he died. When we walked in the first thing the owner said to him was. That's a nice necklace where did you get it? My son said from my friend. The guy said it's a big necklace. " IT IS NOT BIG" your wearing that because you want attention to yourself. It's all about you. My son said no SR. The guy said who is going to get you in a week when you leave. My son said I am not going to leave. He told the other guy to take us in to sign in. We sit through a 3 hour concert, and short testimony back what the program had did. Not one Bible was opened, one scripture read, nor did they talk about how Jesus was the one to give glory too, but one of the guys did come up to my son and tell him to tell them he needs this program or he will die with out it. NO SR HE NEEDS JESUS AND WILL GO TO HELL WITHOUT HIM. At the end they have a guy come talk to us. He was truly humble and he did talk about Jesus being the one who changes things, BUT THEN up comes another guy who is rude and acted like he was some big Billy bad butt. They then said we want you to be here , you have to be interviewed by no other then the GUY we meet coming in. The two guys come back after talking him about my son, to tell us THAT MAN SAID. MY SON NEED TO COME BACK NEXT WITH A BROKEN SPIRIT. WHAT ARE YOU SERIOUS. OVER WEARING A NECKLACE. I know this sounds CRAZY. Because it is. BUT THIS REALLY HAPPENED TO US TODAY. But JESUS. Jesus shielded my son from being a part of this place. I pray and if you have read this far please pray JESUS breaks that man's spirit to where ever it is he thinks the people should be. ADDICT HAD TO BE AT THEIR OWN ROCK BOTTOM. EVERYONES IS DIFFERENT AND THE NEED TO KNOW THEY NEED JESUS OR BE LOOKING FOR HIM. I'm sure when he started this program it started out on Jesus, but as he said today 23 years, the years have turned into greed, selfishness, self-centered, self-desire and an ego that says I'm in control of people's life's. There are so many good real faith based programs that stand on Jesus GO THERE AND STAY AWAY FROM HERE. REMEMBER PRAY JESUS BRINGS HIM TO THE PLACES HE THINKS THESE GUYS SHOULD BE.

Tried to get my brother in the program today and I was severely disappointed in the conduct of the “instructors” they were very rude to my brother, had some nasty things to say about his situation and even insinuated that my brother and my wife are sleeping together..this is supposed to be a Christian program and they treated us this way? I used to think highly of this organization, but now I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone until they clean up the problem

I went here 12 years ago and I am still affiliated. If you don't feel the lord working here and do not fit fired up about Jesus here then your wood may be wet. This place only cares about restoration. I see these post about this place focused on sales. Well I can promise you the day I came crawling to them they did not ask for 1 dime. And if your son or grand son didn't get in then they was not ready. Far as the director. Brian toggle is a great man and will always have my upmost respect. He isn't in this for the money he truly loves seeing transformation in lives. I miss john 316 everyday. I'm not gonna relapse so I can go back but I do miss this place and I always know I have a home here. It hurts my heart to see a bad review from anyone about john 316. I was there for 9 months and it was the best 9 months of my life till that point. Since then my life has been great. Full of Jesus a godly wife. A godly job. And just so much love and hope in my heart that I found at john 316. Thank you to everyone who lives or works there. Love yall

John 3:16 saved my life. All u have to do is be patient, be obedient and let Gods plan for you reveal itself.

John 3:16 was the best decision I ever made in my life it is where met my lord and Savior and changed my life I was able to trade my chaines for salvation and I now feel a happiness I never new! Thank you John 3 16 for everyone you do for men like me Your reward will be greater than you could ever imagine!

I entered John 3:16 Ministries on Father's Day June 18, 2023. Jesus Christ met me there and totally transformed my life through this ministry. I remained 10 months as a resident and additional 6 as an Instructor. Life has never been the same since. God has rewritten my life story for His glory and now I live for Jesus every day to the best of my ability. I have been totally clear minded with joy in my heart and a life full of opportunity. I am forever thankful and grateful for John 3:16 Ministries.

My dad has been there 28 days yesterday. He is over 5 hours from my mom who was diagnosed with terminal illness 2 years ago. There are no exceptions to the phone call rule even under such devastating circumstance. My mom and dad have been married 30 years and she cannot physically make the trip. This is the longest they have ever gone without speaking. Seems abusive, both mentally and emotionally, as well as the antithesis of healing, wellness, and God centered. Proceed with caution. God bless

4/25 Had a family member going to J. Member had no other family alive but 1 who lived 18 hrs away. J. would not let us communicate via phone and never will/did throughout the complete program. They had a blackout. Where they cannot communicate with anyone on the outside. Anytime I would call J. I would have to leave a message. When I left a message, I could hear them in the background and they would hang up on me without saying a word so my message was never left. I have seen this complaint and several others over and over in the reviews. Super secretive operations. The man and women in the program there work extremely hard and long hours and do not get a penny for their work. Once they are done with the program, they have no money in their pocket to set them up for success for all the hard work! J. sure enjoy plastering everybody's face on Facebook for free to advertise for them. If you need to go to the doctor when you're in there, or get prescriptions filled or do any kind of personal paperwork you're out of luck. This might help a lot of people which is fine and wonderful. But to kick people out because I've been late to a class is ridiculous. They need to communicate with these people before kicking them out! This place is setting up for failure once a person gets out with no money in their pocket! I don't have anything good to say about this place. Feels like a cult!! B very cautious before considering this place. This is my experiences and they were not good! Family is always there for you and will be when you get out they are NOT! Work you very HARD! They just dropped off a family member in no where with no money. What kind of million dollar business does that that has a heart? If people worked hard for you and you do them like this!!!! Run dont walk away from this place go some where else.

I have had relatives successfully treated at this facility. I have seen the negative reviews and I wish it worked as good for every one as it has for us. Everyone is different in their issues, and personal history. Their is no 100% cure for everyone and at best its a painful road but better traveled with people who have already made most of the journey. But you can try to help where you can. Possibly dangerous. I recently took a relative. Three hour service without one Bible being opened. But if you like a Christian Gospel concert you should be good. John3:16 have no regard for anonymity. You will be videoed and photographed the entire time you are at their service. It will be posted on Facebook and YouTube. They are not allowed to keep their own Bible- “they only use the gospels”, I guess Psalms and Proverbs and Isaiah have nothing to offer John3:16 even though Christ himself quoted from them. They will not receive compensation for any work they perform, to help save for the future. There are no phone calls at all, at any time during their stay. Six months, one year, it doesn’t matter- no phone calls. They can only write letters. You can go see your relative if you bring a meal for yourself, for them, and for three other individuals. If you question anything, they will become aggressive. This is beyond “tough love” attitudes, This is plain rudeness. You will be forced to buy multiple John 316 red shirts. Hope you bring money. They encourage tobacco use. There are no visits other than Sundays and no furloughs. They work 12 hour days. Most concerning they aren’t allowed any meditation, prescribed by a doctor, doesn’t matter, non-narcotic, doesn’t matter. It doesn’t matter what is wrong with you , “Jesus will heal you”. Heart problems? Don’t worry. “Jesus can handle it.” Be cautious. It’s a business. A very profitable and successful business. I left him there with very little hope. I WILL update.

Great place , beautiful facility so much love and care ,geat for those with addiction issues and just discipleship would definitely recommend.

Amazing. The presence of the Lord Jesus Christ is there. The ministry was the tool that God used to give me life. Praise God, thank you Jesus!

Excellent, awesome, words can not describe just how awesome this place is so I'll just stop at Excellent and awesome , if you got addiction problems and you want turn your life around this is the place for you . Jesus love is the most powerful thing there is and you can feel the love all over this campus .

I graduated back in 2018. I had bad experiences and I had great experiences but throughout it all, I learned to take my battles to Jesus. I learned that No man is perfect and ultimately we were all there because we had no other options other than to lose to our addictions or to lean on Christ and carry on. Its free for those that get in and are ready to do all things for Jesus. He already paid the price. It's been five years clean and I only wish I didn't live so far away so that I could be able to visit. Ultimately it was all glory to God, but this ministry does just that. They give opportunities to lift up people that are struggling, with their own life experiences and pointing them to Jesus. This place helped me turn my life around and I still miss praying and singing with over 150+ other men. As grown men its hard to remain humble but throughout all the bible studies and camaraderie throughout each work day you learn to hold yourself accountable and hold yourselves as a man of Christ should and not just another addict in this broken world.

I was in John 3:16 for 8 months, they were willing to take me in when I had hit my “rock bottom” I will forever be grateful to them and they are forever my family. In response to some of the comments I’ve seen about being “profiled” and “not getting back in due to leaving the first time” just so EVERYBODY who sees the comments sees this one. Every one goes through that process including me because a truly broken bed won’t give that bed up cause he doesn’t have one to go to and when you leave early a man could be dead literally the Sunday you got in cause you took the bed. Everybody is kinda laid into at the initial interview cause men who argue with someone who is willing to take them in when no one will are most definitely gonna come in and mess the program up for other guys who are taking it serious and willing to do whatever it takes to be there and get better and learn to be a follower of Christ. ??

My daughter and I took my husband to John 3:16 to be enrolled in their program. I was skeptical after reading some of the reviews here. Hiwever, we sat through their church service and worshipped God with them. I've been a Christian since I was very young and I can tell you that I felt God's presence there. They sung several church songs, quoted scripture and had testimonies from people the program has helped. They were all very nice and I'm so grateful they took him in. God Bless!

I graduated from John 3:16 in October of 2022.. This place saved my life and showed me love that I never knew.. I never knew how God could work until I got there and I grew up in church all my life. I love God, Bryan Tuggle and John 3:16 Ministries.

The facilities and most of the staff were nice. However, the energy was weird, some of the things said were a bit questionable, and it felt like they were trying to get the credit and the glory more than giving the credit to God. Not to mention, two of the leaders, an older and younger man brought other leaders over and racially profiled my uncle by insinuating he was arrogant, “too cool”, and were talking to him as if he was disrespectful and lazy, but in reality, we made a 4.09 hour trip here (and 4 hours back) and my uncle, me, my mom, and siblings barely got any sleep and were respectful as possible and attempted to stay awake (plus, my uncle is a very caring and respectful man who’s worked with many people for 10-30+ years). Not to mention, it felt like we were being watched the ENTIRE time, from when we came to when we left. As someone that was raised in the Pentecostal church since I was a little girl (and I’m still in the Pentecostal church and faith NOW 20+ years later), it broke my heart because it felt like we weren’t as welcome unless we answered and said what they wanted us to say. Plus, it wasn’t a single Bible brought, nor opened except for one instance. I feel like they were working in the flesh and NOT by the spirit of God. They need to be mindful of staff members who act like that because it hurts their ministry A LOT, especially when you’re already working with men that are vulnerable and open about their addiction and wanting to be clean and follow God. Otherwise, you’re exploiting, disrespecting, and not truly leading them to God and what plan God has for their life in your actions.. Focus less on appearance and more on helping people and bringing them the true message and salvation that God has for them.

It is an amazing place where one feels the spirit of the Lord surround you as soon as you walk through those doors!! The people are warm and loving. It is truly a judgment free, accepting environment, where your soul is the main objective!! Leading the way back to God!!

Didn't want to believe the bad reviews this place received, as I felt it was a miracle from God that we found this place to help my grandson. I wanted them to become one of my best donation recipients. They had answered our prayers! But, to our dismay, they wouldn't accept my grandson...I also believe that this was a miracle from God to keep us from the evils of Satan. So don't be discouraged if your loved one isn't accepted here because it will most likely really be a blessing. We will not give up our fight for a TRUE spiritual intervention to help my grandson find his way!

I have seen the work of this ministry. I highly recommend it to any man struggling with addiction. It is a place of God. Yes, it is hard to get in. Yes, it is hard work. Yes, it makes you think and the expectations are high. This ministry should be all of this. Go and seek help... be prepared to put in some effort yourself. Not only are you learning there is hope, but you will be learning how to function in society again as a saved and pure man of God.

My son is there now. I go every other Sunday to see him and attend the Sunday morning service. This place is awesome. It is a great place for men with addiction. My son has excepted Jesus as his Saviour. He has changed so much. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who's suffering with drug, or alcohol addiction.

This place is…interesting. Having only attended one “church” service, the only thing being worshipped there is the facility and each other. (With a huge emphasis on the leader, that I will not name since I have never met him) Someone else used the term sales gimmick and that is accurate. They had an actual auction during the “service” to sell tables to the next big event. I also don’t remember a Bible being opened or even mentioned outside of the first gentleman that spoke. (Note: he used it to talk about how great the facility and leader are) Also, it was never clear to me that any of the employees is actually a trained counselor. (Even preachers go to school) having grown up as a flawed Christian I will not go so far as to say what they are doing is wrong. However, it was clear from the beginning that everyone there was more interested in saying how great the facility is rather than how great God is. (Someone even sang a song that was literally dedicated to how great the place is) is it possible to get clean without some professional help? Absolutely. If you are going here thinking that you are going to be helped by professionals then think again. The guy I spoke with listed his qualifications as “thirteen years in prison” and “multiple attempts” to get into John 3:16. Also, this is a group of Christians that make you beg to get in. Can you imagine walking into a church where someone meets you at the door and with 15 seconds says “I can feel that you aren’t serious about being here so come back next week and try again.” What if this was my final straw and I don’t make it to next week? In therapy, the moment someone asks for help they should receive help. Even more so in the church. If someone is willing to say to someone else, I’m in trouble and I need help, I can’t imagine the correct response being “well, you don’t seem ready to succeed at this so no, no help for you.” Cult? Maybe. Loving Christians that are ready to help someone? Nope. A group of people that are a little misguided and have started to think that God needs us rather than us needing him. Absolutely. Some will argue that this is just a bitter post and that is fair. Free speech is still a thing. Sort of. I know that lots of people will argue look how many have been saved from their addictions or that someone like Joel O’Steen is doing great things. I would just say do your homework and know that everyone holding a Bible is not a follower of Jesus. It’s why we were given a spirit of discernment.

Absolutely amazing! You can feel the presence of the Lord. I'm am a recovering addict and only by the Grace of God am I free today. The Zach Williams show was amazing just all together a wonderful time ? God bless your Ministry and I'll be seeing you all at future events

I will forever be grateful for John 3:16 for showing me how to walk with God and how to have Christ in my heart. This place changed my life. Proud to be part of the JTF.

Jesus rules here and the men have all the support they need to change their lives. Its truly been a blessing for my family..

The place was beautiful,lots of rolling countryside, beautifully built places to stay, extra huge place of worship very nice from the outside. But that is as far as I got. Not sure what was the problem. The people I was with had been invited to church with a resident,by said resident,it was a 2+ hour drive to get there & we were told we could not attend church at their place of worship. No reason was given we were just told we was unwanted & to leave. Which we did. Very unfriendly place if I was asked to be such a beautiful place & to do such wonderful things for the people it house's the efforts at helping people begin a better life after living a nightmare is beyond what I can think upon. How do you say you want the people you teach to be better when you turn away the family that lives them & that they must return to when done with the program they enrolled in??? Shame must burn inside the hearts of those who picks a person's family & turns them away from the worship of our Lord with family & those that have such a large place in those families.
