What clients say about Bella Vista Recycling Center in Bella Vista (AR)

I am almost ready to give up bringing in my recyclables when I am told "Not there, there!" Here I am the one spending my time and my gasoline bringing everything to them and then sorting it all. I would rather pay for recycling pickup like I did where I lived before.

It's volunteer run and the person with the material does the sorting. It's not too much work to do it if you presort your recyclables. Also be aware that "shiny" plastic" like you see in carryout containers is not recyclable material. So just throw those in the trash. They have clearly labeled bins for different types of materials. Plastic bins include #2 and #5 materials also split down into a couple categories (clear, white opaque and other color. Same with paper - catalogs (shiny), office paper, cardboard, etc.,

Always receive the best service by the entire staff here. They work hard to maintain the center for all of us who choose to recycle & are pleasant, courteous & helpful. I just appreciate all their efforts they make to keep recycling possible, for accepting good, clean moving boxes, & making them available for those in need. Also, your shredding options are tremendously appreciated. Thanks to all of you.

The place was very clean and easy to understand where to put your cardboard plastic

This is a wonderful facility. The staff is so kind and courteous and very helpful. Trish took care of my shredding today and she magnificent. Such a reasonable price to take care of it quickly. We're so blessed to have this available to us.

Great recycling center, so glad Bella Vista has this. Drive in and drop off any time.

Bella Vista staff are friendly and industrious. They recently posted additional information to assist in sortation and recycling. Please view the video or take the time to read the new signage during your next visit.

Recycling is convenient and easy to do at this location. Thank you volunteers for all you do for Bella Vista and making a better world too! This is a nonprofit organization and those working here are volunteers.

I'm so grateful that we have this recycling center in our city! It's easy to get do and drop off items.

Amazing place to have. So thankful they exist. Happily donate funds to support this awesome business!

It's a place to drop off *some* things to be recycled rather than going to a landfill.. But be prepared to have people yell at you when you bring recyclable plastics beyond simple bottles, as they will tell you that it is trash (despite recycle logo imprints on the items). If you're lucky, they will have Boy Scouts for the day that will toss your recyclables into a dumpster for a donation (as absurd as it sounds). I miss Texas.

Very rude customer service. They don't respond and when they do they yell at you for taking up their time. Get better with your attitude and how you take care of customers.

Blows my mind when I read reviews! Reminds me not to read reviews, because I have never run into an unfriendly worker here. Quite the opposite! Love that the money made goes to good causes. Inconvenient, yes, but worth the effort to me.

The best recycling location that I have ever used. Anyone can use it. No proof of residence needed. So very clean and organized. Please use them and recycle everything you can. 😊

While I wish we had home recycling pickup (like in Texas) this is better than nothing. They are very organized and helpful with bins and acceptable items clearly marked and open 24 hours except sun. They even have a shredding service for small batches. Centrally located in Bella Vista. I don't believe they take appliances. They stay steadily busy but never wait for parking. You park behind bins and place stuff into their respective containers. Their website tells what they accept. Great service and very glad they are here.

Good recycling place. Glass, plastic, cardboard, magazines all can be recycled here. They don't pay! Also always need volunteers.

We moved to the lovely town of Bella Vista, AR a year ago. When we moved here we learned that the city does not pickup for recycling, but we found out that the city has this great recycling center. Yeah, it might not be convenient for some, as stated with some of the negative comments I’ve read, but when one takes the time to read about their mission statement and gives way to all those who volunteer, I can’t say enough about how fortunate we have to have this facility. Thank you partners and volunteers of the recycling center. Please know we truly appreciate your services.

Most of the people that work or volunteer there are not very friendly. There is a book drop off for the VA. They will also be happy to take recent magazines. Always drop off books. Anything to help at Vet

This is a great self-funded and volunteer run service for Bella Vista which doesn't have curbside recycling. It generates small surplus which is donated to local charities.Well organized and very neat given the volunteer staff. In addition to same items as Bentonville anhd Rogers pickup, accepts textiles. It would be great if more residents would do their part to protect the environment while contributing to local charities. I'm shocked by the negative reviews regarding lack of help. No local municipal center offers help: all are self-service. This one is operated with volunteers, donations and recycling proceeds without any local public funds. Anyone wanting a higher level of service could consider volunteering. It's very difficult to operate any recycling center profitably. I don't know of any other place for free paper shredding. A small donation is recommended.

Trish answered the phone when we called to ask about hours and donation guidelines. She was knowledgeable and kind. When we arrived, she went out of her way to give us personal attention and even helped us find packing paper. Thank you Trish!

This is the most amazing place I have ever been. The workers are the friendliest I have EVER encountered in my life. It's almost like they wake up EACH AND EVERY DAY to PLEASE OTHERS with their kind heartedness and positive attitude. I just can't stop praising these people for the good they bring into this world.

It is so nice to have somewhere to take recycling nearby. You can't throw any trash away, so be sure to get all the packing materials out of your boxes so you don't have to take it back home.

I’ve honestly never dealt with more unpleasant people than at this location. Also, the setup is very poorly designed and executed, and you will literally be yelled at abusively for not understanding exactly when and what they want you to do in their maze. Please take your recyclables elsewhere and do not support (they make money off the trash you give them) these awful people, even if it is more “convenient”.

It honestly blows me away how rude these people are. I live in Bella vista and for the most part every shop, diner, or store is always filled with smiles and genuinely nice people, but I don't think I've ever had an experience with a nice person at this recycling center. I don't know who runs this recycling center, if it's one man or the town of Bella vista, but in all seriousness some changes should be made with the people that work or run the place. There should be a policy for volunteers or employees- must have a positive attitude and kindness towards others.

It's interesting living in an area that doesn't collect recycling at the curb as part of the regular trash pickup. Kinda makes every day #tbt in a way. The fact that this facility sells their cardboard and donates the money to local nonprofits is a plus. I'll be honest, though, having to load my garbage in my own car and haul it a few miles up the road gets old. And on top of that, I have to sort it myself when I get there. And if I don't do it right, the volunteers yell at me and my children. It's easier to just put everything in the wheelie bin at the end of my driveway once a week.
