Pulled up to the recycling yard with a fridge and a stove I’d just loaded—showed up a solid five or six minutes before closing. The sign says 5:00 PM. I check the clock—4:54 PM.
The lady at the gate tells me, “We’re closed.” I said, “What do you mean closed? It’s not five yet.” She says the registers are shut down and they’re done for the day. I told her, “You guys always close early,” and she straight-up said, “Yep.”
So, apparently “5 PM” really means “whenever we feel like it.”
I could’ve dumped the scrap, got paid, and been out in two minutes. Instead, I got called names by the staff and cussed out as I drove away.
Phenomenal customer service, guys. If your posted hours say 5 PM, try staying open until 5 PM.
Note to management: When you close early, cuss out customers, and then get mad when people call you out—you’re not running a recycling yard, you’re running a daycare for adults with bad attitudes.
AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!! Worst scrap yard you could possibly go to! No clear pricing on metal prices because they're offering HALF of what is going rate. They do not give pricing when weighing, tell you to get pricing at the cashier and by the time you get inside they've already "thrown your metal in the pile and can't get it out" if you're unhappy with the price offer. They dont answer phones and mailbox is full. Awful establishment. DON'T GET SCAMMED!!!
Low balled on copper. Copper 1 is 2.20$ copper 2 is 2.00$. Go some where else. They yell out wrong weights. Scale said 26# guys yells 20#. Scale goes to 29# guy yells 4 # copper 2. ?! Either scales off or they making up numbers.
Had to unload the trailer myself, instead of them using their claw. Lowest prices in town. Was quoted .08 per/lb and was only given .05. Would not recommend.
UPDATE: 06/14/2025.….. NOT SURE WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON BUT... Let's just say CALL other yards for pricing as I was given the following prices yesterday, copper tubing #1 $2.20, #2 $2.00 and #2 ICW .40¢. Tempe yard quoted CT #1 $3.63, CT#2 $3.51 and #2 ICW .06¢ - $2.76 (Priced per pound) That's serious $ when you have over 100# of each.
11/02/23 UPDATE... If you haven't stopped in yet you owe it to yourself to do so. My go to scrap yard. Staff are friendly and scales appear dialed in yard is a little tight at times but they do try to keep it tire friendly. Their prices paid are reasonable and have yet to leave feeling taken. Worst Company & Employee EVER Came to this place at 4:50 pm was at gate and pulling in when Thomas said they aren’t taking anyone and closing told them that they show till 5 on google and said it doesn’t matter that he put the time on website and wasn’t going to service us and leave, on google stated business hours @4:50pm instead of 5pm He’s very unprofessional and instead of de-escalating he only got more confrontational!!! Would Avoid Thomas if you ever come here!!
Uncontrolled rage.
Try to damage my car. Then damaged my trailer. I reported this damage. They closed early before the police showed up.. left the seen. Owner is unknown and unlisted.
Phx and Tucson yards said they get other calls complaining and asking for information on owner. but are not a franchise.

The guys working were completely rude, did not tell me they required things to sorted, so instead they did nothing but run it all as sheet metal when it contained aluminum, copper and brass. They made some rude comments and were less than welcoming.
The service is good prices are fair, butt when pulling onto the scale you cannot see the response from the office due to a reflection in their window other than that great experience every time
This place is awesome! Very friendly service and willing to help! I had accidentally left my ID and they ensured it was safe as I wasn’t able to get back them for a few days! They are a great place to recycle and very organized yard.
Shorted, by a factor of 5x the correct price for metal. I asked if it was correct. Checked previous receipt from my records. I received less than .25c a lb instead of over $1 a lb

The guys over here are friendly. It was a quick pull up drop off and go. I will be coming here again if I have some metal to scrap. Hidden gem in Mesa!
Terrible, just terrible. It says pull onto the scale. But then what? No instruction on where to dump, nobody there to show you where they want you to put the stuff. Then you walk up to a tiny little building because you think if there was any employees on the place, it would be in there, just ask questions and find out where they want you to put each type of metal. And the Employee is rude and hates his life. I got six bucks for some metal. But after that experience, I would’ve paid 40 bucks just to not have to deal with them.
