We camped a couple of nights in our 30' RV travel trailer in site #1. There was plenty of room for the trailer. Electric and water hookups worked as expected. We loved the feeling of being amongst the junipers instead of being shoulder to shoulder with other campers in a hardscaped commercial RV park.
Certainly a very unique experience having dinner in the cave. The day we went was their second day open for the season. There were some 'hiccups' with everyone in our group getting their dinner on time, but it was resolved pretty quickly. The cave and tour was great... loved the history. The hotel room was very basic, but we were told it was rustic. Overall, a good experience!
We planned our entire Valentine’s Day weekend around having dinner in the Caverns, especially since it was the first day of the season and it happened to fall on Valentine’s Day. We booked it the very first day reservations opened. We even flew into Las Vegas and drove 2.5 hours specifically for this experience.
We arrived about 45 minutes early and told them at check-in that we were there for both the dinner and the tour. They told us to come back in 40 minutes, so we went to the restaurant to have a drink. Unfortunately, that’s where things started going downhill. The server was making inappropriate and corny jokes — saying things like, “I know what you’d like, a knuckle sandwich,” pretending to almost spill a drink on me, and awkwardly demanding payment. It was unprofessional and not funny.
Next was the tour, which was even more disappointing. Our guide openly told us she was only there to help out and had moved on to housekeeping. Multiple times she said things like, “I shouldn’t be telling you that,” and “That’s not my job.” It did not feel organized or professional.
At the end of the tour, we mentioned we were there for the dinner, especially since we could see people already dining in the cavern. The guide spoke to someone in the dining area and came back saying, “We don’t have food for them.” We were still allowed to sit and were offered a drink. We had one drink before being told we had to go back upstairs because they couldn’t leave us alone down there and needed to take the guests who had finished dinner back up.
During this time, we overheard staff chatting on the radio about having a party of 16 upstairs who were “more important” than our party of two. That was incredibly disappointing to hear.
When we returned upstairs, we spoke with previous guests who mentioned their steak was rubbery and overcooked. At that point, after flying in and driving five hours round-trip from Vegas, we decided this experience simply wasn’t worth it and requested a refund.
We spoke with the Restaurant Manager, Don, who was apologetic and explained the General Manager was not there. It’s hard to understand how the GM would not be present on opening day — especially on Valentine’s Day.
They refunded the dinner but would not refund the tour.
Overall, this was an extremely disappointing experience that did not live up to the planning, travel, or cost.

We did a Valentines package. The Cavern tour with the dinner was a great experience. The dinner lacked a salad, bread and dessert. As for the room accommodations- chose somewhere else to stay. It’s from the 50s with no updates or current amenities. We had fleas coming up from the drain system. Curtains looked so decrepit that they did not hang or close properly. The bedspread was nasty.. we took it off the bed. Not a pleasant experience!
Loved it! Leanna was our guide, very outgoing and knowledgeable, a true pleasure! Cavern was nice, sloth was HUGE!! (No, I didn't include the sloth, either take my word or go see it yourself!) Lisa at the gift shop is a true gem as well!
This was worth both the trip and the money! We stopped here on our way home from Flagstaff, and I'm so glad we did! It was absolutely beautiful, and our tour guide Vida, was absolutely wonderful! Her pacing was wonderful, she was knowledgeable, and she clearly enjoyed her job! I highly recommend this, It's worth the trip! (Don't get rid of the opportunity to stay there!!! It'd be so sad to lose.(although I'm sure you have your reasons))
We didn’t stay at the inn, we did the standard Grand Canyon caverns tour, it was outstanding. Our guide Nicole was very informative about the caverns and its history and the rock formations. Highly recommended.
My wife and son took the tour .I did not. Everyone was very nice and helpful. My family loved the tour .it wasn't busy at all the restaurant and tour people were great and the carrot cake was delicious. Will gladly go back .such nice people ...
Kinda pricey for what we got. Tour was shorter than was advertised. Our guild was very un-enthusiastic and just was going through the motions. We have toured numerous caves that always left us feeling we got more than we expected. Sad to say this one was a disappointment.
For what it is, I really enjoyed my stay. The rooms are humble, but clean and sturdy with a solid air conditioning unit. The breakfast was really good. There are fun, kid friendly attractions on the property — dinosaur sculptures are cool, the pretend jail is good to take pictures with, and swings to swing on. You get a tub in the room which is great for people with children.
The hotel rooms could definitely use some updating, but overall they were mostly clean and ready when we arrived. We did find an old sock next to the bed, which was a bit disappointing. The front desk service was excellent, and we really appreciated the early complimentary breakfast. We stayed here the night before our Havasupai hike, and it was convenient to have a restaurant right behind the hotel. Unfortunately, we didn’t take any photos of the room. There were limited outlets available for charging devices, but the Wi-Fi worked well.

Tips for guests; bring your own flashlight. Even if you just use it to see where youre walking.
Listen to the brochure that says it's very steep.
Advise for staff; your restaurant is mediocre. I understand you have a captive audience there but...
There were 6 of us eating, one meal came out very slow then it took 13 minutes to get the next one, then another delay to get the last. Cook forgot the garlic and parmesean but the waitress was all proud to mention those ingredients when she dropped off the food. You guys were out of half the stuff we ordered and it took 3 trips to our table to tell us we needed to sub stuff.
As for the caves, pretty cool but points lost for crap lighting. Use the UV spectrum lights (black lights) and that place will light up all crazy.
We went for the tour and Thanksgiving diner combo.
We really enjoyed our visit, the caverns are great, staff is very friendly and helpful. Our tour guide Jovida was awesome.
The Thansgiving feast after was so good! I highly recommend it.
We stayed in the RV Park with oir 17 ft travel trailer for two nights. They have water and electric hook up. Dump station is behind the market at the entrance.
The second night they had a veterans day cookout with a band and they roasted a pig and a live band to 10 p. Mostly locals showed up having a good time and nothing got out of control.
This is the second time doing the cave tour and lunch combo! Its definitely a bucket list if you haven't done it before.

the "hike" in the standard tour can be stenious at many spots, especially for older people. It is paves the whole way but are some steep incline/decline at various points.
Overall I love the experience here and would do it and stay again
What a surprise to have this place so close to the start of Havasupi trailhead. Nothing fancy, but did the trick and thoroughly enjoyed being able to pick up our passes the night before so we could get an early start in the morning. A small restaurant is located just a short way from the property and was great to have a warm meal before heading out for a four day hike. They offered a small continental breakfast For free starting at 4:00am which was so kind. Not a lot of amenities but beats camping out one more night. Definitely worth the price!
Excellent stop on old route 66, driving back to the caverns and taking the tour took about an hour and a half. I was expecting it to be a tourist trap, which it kinda is, but the caverns where bigger and more interesting than expected. The path in the cave is long maybe half a mile and does have a fair bit of up and down elevation gain. One woman in our group had a difficult time managing, so keep that in mind.
This was a great experience! It's amazing to see the caverns and hear the history. All of the employees were friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. We did the full tour with the in the cavern lunch. The food was delicious! The only thing I would say is that some of the walking on the tour has stairs or steep hills to walk up, so it might not be doable for some people.
The Grand Canyon Caverns Tour plus lunch was an unplanned stop during our visit to Arizona. We are so happy we stumbled upon the tour online, as we thoroughly enjoyed the entire experience. This was our first dry caverns tour, and we loved seeing the differences from our previous wet caverns tours. The guide was extremely knowledgeable about the history of the caverns, making for a fascinating history lesson. We concluded our visit with the add-on lunch option, which added another unique element to our vacation. Don't miss this tour!!
No complaints, it's what you would expect for a motel close to your destination (1H 15m from Havasupai)

Got a kids setup for some reason but that's okay.
No fridge or microwave in room, but microwave in the lobby.
The restaurant is a mile up the road, they just serve complimentary breakfast grab and go here.
Shop has a few snacks and items for your car like oil.
Grand Canyon Caverns Inn is very basic and offers only the essentials.
Unfortunately, our check-in experience took much longer than expected, and we were first assigned an unfinished, half-renovated room with no linens, no bathroom setup, and no cleaning done. When we raised this at the front desk, we were told they had run out of rooms and had to wait another 30 minutes for a proper room.
The breakfast was very minimal, and overall the price point does not justify the amenities or service level. We only chose this place because it’s the closest option for checking in to Havasupai Falls reservations—beyond that, there isn’t much to recommend.

To be honest, having been to multiple spectacular caverns in several states, we were not expecting too much.
We were pleasantly surprised by this experience. Easy walk with just a few slightly challenging up and down hills on the path. Entry and exit is by elevator.
The guide was informative and friendly.
A unique part was we did the combo and had lunch at the bottom, 200' down in the cavern. Bison burgers were great especially with having to bring everything down from the restaurant up top. They did make a mistake on my meal, but corrected it within minutes, which is great considering someone had to get it from the restaurant at ground level!
Some interesting facts about this dry, dead cave were shared AND there is a 'hotel room' at the bottom that you can book for the night. It is in a large cavern, with two queen beds, tv, dvd movies, and even a turntable for music. Booked up a YEAR in advance!! There is even Room Service!
The Caverns are open! We had so much fun! It was nice and cool down in the cave. We took an elevator down and went on the longer tour. Incredible history, I’m excited to come back.
We stopped for the caverns but unfortunately the elevator was broken so we couldn’t go on a tour, but we used the restrooms, grabbed some water, took some cool pictures and talked with the staff which was very friendly. The tour is about a mile long and the pictures were cool!
Staff is friendly & accommodating. Mini golf is not maintained. Pool was clean (I didn't go in, but there were kids swimming & having a good time.) The cavern tours were not open due to construction of elevators to get to them. The whole place was a 50s-60s retro theme. It gave a vibe of the old horror movies. We were envisioning a neon sign to light up & start buzzing. LOL. No real modern amenities. There was a keurig clone coffee maker in the room, however. The A/C was a single non-thermostat unit in the wall. Turning a dial turns it on. You can set it to high or low, and adjust how cold. But it blows the same until you turn it off. The bed by the cooler got cold at night, while the farther one stayed very warm.
My map research was faulty. It was supposed to be near Grand Canyon West Skywalk. Instead, it was near the Hualapai Tribe's headquarters. As that tribe runs the Skywalk, the maps pointed me there. There aren't really any hotels near the skywalk. But Kingman would be an hour closer. This hotel is 2 hours (via Kingman), or 1.5 hrs via a 22 mile (well maintained) dirt road.
The motel was full of guests when we arrived, many hanging around visiting with each other on the grounds. The other guests were headed to Havasu and were gone before 8am. We did not get a lot of noise from them, other than the kid who was slamming a wet shirt against his families van right outside our window in the evening. (Not sure why he thought that would remove the water. He was acting like it was a rug that needed the dust banged out of it.)
Overall, we had fun staying there. It was comfortable enough.
We had a great time going through the caverns. The restaurant wasn't bad either. The tour was very interesting and informative. I wouldn't take anyone too old down there who has trouble walking up and down, or anyone who is claustrophobic. It's absolutely beautiful in some parts of the caverns and I would love to stay over night, if only my wife would let me.
Tickets for the Cavern Tour are $25 per person for adults. You take an elevator down into the cave and the guide takes you around the cave, showing you many different sites. It was a lot of fun, but the 45-minute tour took twice as long because our guide Dino was giving us a lot of facts. I enjoyed it but if you're limited on time, you'll need to budget more time just in case your tour runs longer than normal. You can reserve a ticket to eat a meal from the Cavern Grill in the cave. Also, you can book a night to stay in the cave as well. The tour guide said it's a popular attraction and the next time I come, I plan on booking a stay.
There were 2 families in the group whose kids kept touching the caves and climbing on the rocks. It was very frustrating to see because the parents clearly didn't care (the adults were sitting on rocks and whatnot too) and the kids kept running into others in the group. It's sad to see the cave getting damaged because of careless visitors. I wish the tour guide was stricter with them because no one else was behaving that way and it was very distracting.
