This is the third great experience I've had with Sun Devil Auto across three different locations in Chandler.
The staff at Sun Lakes was friendly and professional and the facility was spotless. Booking online was super easy and the service was performed efficiently.
I had a pleasant experience, they located my problem within a matter of minutes, provided a reasonable quote and got the job done correctly and professionally! Great job guys!
The guys at Sun devil Auto were extremely professional and extremely workable. I spoke to them about a CV axle that I couldn't get out and they got it out forth with. So I took it in because I could not get a frozen bolt off my shocks and once again they knocked it out of the park. Each situation within the same day. Good job guys!!!!!!!
I have a Honda Accord. There were clucking /rattling noises coming from the back of the car while driving. I took my car to few auto shops but no one was able to pin point the problem. I brought it to Sun Devils Auto and in an hour i recieve a call. They told me exactly what the problem and what needs to be done to get it fixed. After the fix car just runs smooth and all the noises were gone. Thank you Sun Devil for all the good work.
I’ve been going here for about a year now and I absolutely love them. They are very communicative and transparent about what my car needs. They get the work done in a timely manner as well! Definitely recommend them.
Mike was my technician , he was very detailed and knowledgeable . He was very helpful and patient with me throughout my experience dealing with car issues. I will return if I ever experience car problems again .
I haven’t been to this location in quite a while. I was concerned that with new personnel it may not have been as good as it was. I am extremely happy with the service and will refer anyone needing auto service. Thank you!

5 star service mike and Randall at the counter very knowledgeable and helpful. my technician Jacob did a great job working on my truck ,it was a big job he did it in a timely manner and it runs great thanks to everyone there. I will only be using these guys going forward on any service or repairs in the future thanks again guys you earned me as a customer and that's hard to do.
I was really strapped Tuesday. My car had been periodically not starting. That day it happened again, and it was important to have Apple look at my phone, that had the back cracked. Between making my appointment with Apple and having my battery checked again, it was when I contacted Sun Devil Auto. It was near my home, so asked if they could look at it and fix it. I was told it was the starter. They said bring it in and leave it with them, they would check it out. Also when I picked up my fixed phone, found out I was going to have to restore it at home, including my carrier information so I could use it for communication. So left car, no phone and didn’t have anyway to contact anyone except by text. Notified family who coordinated the car information and one helped to notify the carrier. nightmare! Sun Devil made it so simple for me. They checked the battery which was the culprit. Then looked over my car for other necessary things, which I knew were getting to the point of needing to be fixed. They noticed them and gave me the best price to fix them all. Saved so much time and money. Would recommend them to anyone. You won’t be sorry, honest and hard working! From a 79 year old widow. 🥳
BEWARE -We took my ML550 Mercedes AMG with less than 40k miles to have my oil changed, break light replaced and windshield wiper blades replaced.
Sun Devil reported that in their inspection, they saw my transmission pump needed to be replaced, even though I had no previous problems with transmission, no leaks.
Their estimate was $2950 for a transmission pump & steering gear. I asked the very young mechanic to show me where it was leaking. He pointed to a plastic gasket. I said, thats not a pump, thats a gasket or O ring.
My father was an auto mechanic so I know a few basic, commonsense things.
I spoke with the manager (R Foster) at length. I was polite but firm. "My car doesn't leak anything, how can I need a new pump?"
"It never leaked until you changed my oil."
I told him that I had my car serviced because I'm driving it to FL. He told me to "take power steering fluid" with me & to top it off every couple hundred miles.
What?
That's your solution?
Yes, Ma'am. Replace the pump as recommended or prepare to constantly fill up the transmission fluid.
I took my vehicle home, called German Auto Repair in Scottsdale. Kenny, the owner told me he's been working on Mercedes for 50 yrs, no way do you need a pump when you have less than 40k miles on your vehicle but bring it in over the holiday weekend & we will take care of you.
German Auto Repair opened on Fri 1/2/26 to service my vehicle only. They were closed for New Years but didn't want me to travel until they looked at my car. No wonder they've been in business for 30 years, great customer service!
The Scottsdale shop replaced a $5.00 "O" ring, seal and filter, added fluid and my car was fixed for under $200!
No other leaks were detected.
Sun Devil had said my battery was good even though we told them it is slow to start some times. Kenny at the Mercedes repair tested battery & found it was nearly dead. We replaced it for $300 (Mercedes Brand)
Sun Devil replaced my rear left taillight but it went out again, right away. The Mercedes shop knew it was a short that was reported by Mercedes. They installed a $25 repair wiring & ta da, its fixed!
The only thing Sun Devil got correct about my vehicle was that I do need rear break pads, not today but in about 5k miles.
I am very disappointed in the lack of service I received. I found Sun Devil to be less than adequate and dare I presume, possibly even dishonest?
Sun Lakes is full of Seniors, like me. Take your car elsewhere, don't be taken advantage of at Sun Devil Auto.
I drove to visit family in Sun Lakes…after a roughly 2200 mile journey, my 2008 Matrix needed some love in the form of an oil change. Knowing I was facing a return journey, I was anxious to have a good and thorough once over on the car. They folks at Sun Devil Auto assured me a 40+ point inspection was part of the service. They accommodated me on short notice and were great to deal with.
Shady business for sure. Ironically my engine began to overheat 1 minute after leaving their shop for an oil change. No signs of an issue before taking it in… ironic? I’d go elsewhere.
Courteous, professional service. Did the extra things I asked for and politely told me that that was standard for them. I will definitely recommend them to anyone who asks. I will definitely be using them for any future work I need done.
I arranged the brake service from Colorado Springs w Mike. My daughter, staying in our Chandler home, took the car in for the service the next day. Mike communicated with me and made the service experience easy for my daughter. Car was completed close to the time he said. Helpful both ways with transportation, as well.
It's a great place to have your car checked and it's complimentary BTW. Service is efficient, everything was fine except my car batteries was basically on its last breath, so had that changed. Over all its a breeze!
Charged me $200, but refused to do any diagnostics and just said the car needed a new engine for $17,000. I took it to another place that only charged $140 and actually fixed the problem for that price.
The best! My 2016 Toyota Highlander had a malfunctioning door that was indicating open while driving even though closed. Randall and Xpert crew ran a diagnosis scan of the 🚖 computer 🍟 and reprogrammed the chip. Excellent service!!

I had a great experience at Sun Devil Auto! Brought my 2015 challenger scat pack for a bad fuel pump , Michael was professional and friendly from start to finish. The whole team was quick to diagnose the issue, make the repairs, and get me back on the road in no time. Really appreciate the excellent service — thank you guys again!
Sun Devil's use of UBER for transportation to and from appointment was extremely efficient. Much better than previous shuttle system almost no wait time for me! No charge for my ride since it was a big job. Lesser jobs may be charged to customers? But stiil very efficient and cost effective for Sun Devil
When our car wouldn’t start and roadside assistance gave us an automated text message with an hour and fifteen minute wait, we decided to call Sun Devil since it was nearby. We are so glad we did! Michael came to us immediately. He tested and then replaced the battery on the spot! We are so grateful we didn’t have to wait in the heat. Thank you Michael!!
The only issue I had with my service was being called 5 hours after dropping my car off and being told there weren't enough mechanics in to complete my service as scheduled. They apologized and I believe they were sincere. Dean is a very courteous service manager. I appreciated the team as well. The complimentary Uber rides were more than appreciated! I will be bringing my car back for any future needs.
Came in for a simple oil change and rotation. The gentleman at the service desk (Dean and Michael) were both a delight to chitchat with. Great guys. They mentioned I needed an air filter replaced and new tires - which we are aware of - just waiting on some funds. I can't speak to any other services, but the ones I got were done as expected. After I left, I called my partner to let him know I would like to get our tires replaced here. As long as their customer service is as good as the work they do, they'll have a longtime customer from us. Thanks guys.
This is unequivocally the worst place for car repairs! I strongly urge everyone to avoid bringing their vehicle here. They’ve had my car for over a month and have subjected it to multiple repairs totaling over $6,000. After all this time and money, I’ve driven my car less than 50 miles, and now the engine is making loud, alarming noises. To make matters worse, both the check engine light and the service engine light are on, signaling serious problems. Despite my persistent requests for assistance, they refuse to address the situation.
UPDATE: I’ve never encountered such a frustrating and disappointing experience in my life. I had to take my car elsewhere for repairs, which cost me nearly $1,300 because the technician who worked on my vehicle clearly didn’t know what they were doing. Their so-called "master craftsman" had back problems and left in the middle of the job. The technician replaced the alternator but didn’t install it correctly. When the new GM had to coach this technician on basic repairs, it was a red flag.
The belt broke within 50 miles with such force that it punctured an oil seal, causing a mojor oil leak, and damaged a hose that allowed air in, which resulted in error codes and destroyed the tensioner. They suggested I take my car to another mechanic after all this, but after having my car for over a month and it being towed back to them FOUR times, I simply did not trust them. I have never been lied to so consistently. Let me state this clearly: DO NOT take your car here! You have been warned! I also called their corporate office in, made a complaint with customer service and was told that their district manager would call me back. It has been over a week And a half, and he has yet to call back so this company does not care about its customers whatsoever. I generally don’t make negative reviews, but this company certainly deserved it.
