What clients say about Trailer Village RV Park in Grand Canyon Village (AZ)

This park is very basic but has plenty of parking spots. Sadly we visited in winter so wouldn't be able to give an honest review however it did remind us of an old cinema drive-in style. It was a little dark as I struggled to find the ablution block at night. It was also some distance from where we were set up. It is understandable to be set up the way it is due to its location in a national park.

We only stayed one night, but check-in and checkout were easy. The bathroom was clean. We did have to place three blocks of levelers on the front and then we were good. We managed to come the one day out of the year that it snowed, so while there is a shuttle stop right outside the park, we didn’t have a chance to use it. No issues with our power connection. We would stay here again.

Great clean and beautiful. Me and my wife had a wonderful time hiking and eating in the Grand Canyon. Also seen dear , elk and coyotes. Great and friendly staff. We love hiking and look forward to coming back for an overnight hike to the river in the canyon. We stayed at Trailer Village. Great place. We have dinner at every lodge. Excellent food and staff.

Very lovely staff at the lodge who dealt with us during the winter season. Full hookups, not cheap, but what can you do.

Great stay within the Grand Canyon NP. We were minutes away from the popular trailheads and didn’t have to worry about crowds or parking. We went the last week of November and we didn’t have any neighbors in the RV park. It was quite & peaceful. Highly recommend!

Great site and location. Would highly recommend for anyone visiting the Grand Canyon. Clean sites, nice setup, helpful staff.

We went mid -November. Its a great location to stay right in the park. We had full hook-ups and it was quiet. The elk walked right through the campground which was fun to see. However, there are no amenities in the park for kids like playgrounds or anything. The showers were closed. They have a free shuttle.bus that comes every 15 minutes to the front of the park and it takes you to the Village downtown, the visitor center and many more stops in The Grand Canyon. It makes it easy to get around and not worry about parking.

Great RV Park inside the Grand Canyon. Full hook ups with 50amp service. Lots of wildlife walking right through the park.

This park is just what we needed! The office staff was so nice and took care of all our needs. The park is clean and conveniently one mile from the Grand Canyon National Park. Great gift shop in the office for reasonable souvenirs. Market, restaurants, post office walkable. We plan on returning very soon. Cutos to the Maintenance Supervisor, Tim for all he does! Loved our time here!

Trailer Village Never Disappoints. We love going to the Grand Canyon National Park and our preferred place to stay is the Trailer Village campground. It is clean, safe, and well cared for. The staff are welcoming and helpful. The rack that it is a 15 minute walk to the canyon rim makes it the perfect place to stay.

Trailer Village RV Park is a great place to camp at the Grand Canyon. Restaurants, hikes, groceries, bars, and shuttle services are all in walking distance. The bathhouses are clean and sites well maintained. The South Rim Trail is less than a mile walk from your campsite. We had a great time camping at Trailer Village RV.

Awesome campground with lots of deer. You can easily walk to the Grand Canyon Rim or take the shuttle (stop on-site).

This place obviously has great proximity to the Canyon. That’s why it’s worth it. However for the price we paid, we were shocked there were no showers within walking distance, and the showers we could use cost $2.50 for every 5 minutes and were not very clean. Not everyone has a huge camper with a big shower inside it, and for nearly $100 per night, we felt this was a major ding on the camping experience. The sites were also quite close together. It felt more like an overnight RV park rather than one in which we wanted to spend some time. Luckily the GC is always worth it.

We really enjoyed this campground for our stay in the Grand Canyon. Nice roads, gravel sites (NOT level at all -- you might need blocks), easy hook-ups. WiFi was iffy, but cell service was pretty good. It's convenient to just about everything for visitors, although the roads throughout the park can be a bit confusing. We used the shuttle to visit all the viewing sites on the way to Hermit's Rest one day, then took our toad (car) to visit all the viewing sites on the way to Desert Tower the next day. Both were a treat. It's a dark sky area, so setting up my telescope and doing some star gazing was well rewarded. A bonus was the daily visit from deer and elk through the campground. Highly recommended.

Loved having elk munching on the trees and grazing right next to the RV! Quiet. Well managed and clean. Convenient bathrooms and showers nearby. Paved spots with picnic table and fire pit with a grate. Free shuttle to take you throughout the park.

Nice park with plenty of room. Bus stop is a short walk. If you need a shower or laundry you need to go to Mather campground next door.

Trailer Park Village was amazing close to the southern rim of the Grand Canyon. The staff were amazingly friendly very helpful. They have shuttles that take you to and from the ram makes it easier for someone as myself that is handicapped and cannot walk long distances. I would highly recommend this to anyone and everyone that wants to see the Grand Canyon Great place great people.

Nice RV park with everything you would want. Easy access to the Canyon and very well set up. Pull through spots with full hook up. Well it is expensive that is for sure

Sites are no frills, but location was great. Elk walking through camp sites was fun to see. Bus pick up is at front gate. Takes you to village and Grand Canyon.

Nice, clean. Bike and walking paths right from the park. Lots of elk roaming around. Nice for star viewing. Right inside Grand Canyon Park. With shuttle bus service.

The location of the RV Park is great, walkable distance from the main market at the Grand Canyon and of the food court. The bus stop right in the entrance if you want to go to the village or other bus stops. They provide full hook ups. The bathrooms are a bit on the small size, but were very clean. We did not use the showers because they were a 10min walk on the other campground, so we used our RV showers.

The only thing this campground has going for it, is that it's inside the national park. Other than that, expect: -RV to get scraped up with low hanging branches on entrance / exit and campground roads. We watched multiple low profile 5th wheels have their roof scraped by branches. -no space from your neighbor -unlevel sites (almost everyone was on levelers of some sort) -poor road conditions (especially on the classic side). Looks like they are basically letting asphalt fall apart into gravel but not taking care of it. -closed restrooms and nothing nearby -no instructions/very little info at check in For as much as they charge...89/night they need to invest back into their campground. I would not stay here again until major improvements are made. Not worth wrecking my rig. No hookups, Mather campground was super nicely kept. Unfortunately it's limited to 30ft or under but could totally handle 40 and under. Roads and trees in that campground are well maintained.

This is our second time to visit this park. It is nestled within walking distance from the market and within a few minute car/bicycle ride to the village. Elks often wander throughout the campsite. It is a great place to stargaze at night. And of course super close to get to the village for a Canyon hike. We will be back.

We're from Austria in Europe and spent two nights at the Trailer Village RV Park on our trip through the southwestern United States. We made an online reservation the day before, which was a good thing, as the site was full when we arrived at 4 p.m. The campground is ideal for exploring the Grand Canyon on the South Rim. Everything you need is available (full hookup), and the large general store is only a 10-minute walk away. Mather Point on the South Rim is a 25-minute walk away. The employee at the entrance is very friendly and helpful. A gas station is 6.5 miles (15 minutes) away; you should fill up your propane tank before your visit (there are no stations nearby). We highly recommend the campground. Klaus & Karin

Grand Canyon Trailer Village RV park is THE place to stay when visiting this amazing park. It provides easy access to shuttle buses and bike trails to explore the park. The sites are large and accommodating, with picnic tables and charcoal grills. Elk regularly visit and ravens are always present. Overall the RV park is peaceful and quiet. However- there is some construction going on near the water tanks- so be sure to request a site closer to the registration building if you are sensitive to construction noise. We make reservations every year as we are leaving for next year-AND-because the cancellation policy is so generous-many times there is mid week availability in the spring & fall with little wait time. Check the website frequently when you are planning a visit. We visited 4/16-30/2025. We have a 39’ fifth wheel & extra vehicle.

We enjoyed our stay here. Just a short walk to the store, visitor center and south rim. No morning traffic since the RV park is inside the national park. Loved watching the elk graze all around us in the morning and evening.

Amazing way to see the park is to stay right inside it at this campground. Heavy forest surrounds the campground. We saw lots of wildlife including Elk right in our campground, lots of deer. Because of a storm that closed the passes coming into the park, we missed our first night so we added an extra night. When we called to change our reservation, they put us for an extra night but we were going to have to change our site after the 1st night. This was disappointing because we would have to spend extra time away from exploring to move our rig after the first night. The guy, Jason, who checked us in at the campground, worked his magic and found us a spot where we could stay put for 2 nights. He also recommended what trails would be good for us. We are elderly and my husband walks with a cane. The trails he suggested were perfect. I would give the campground 5 stars but both bath houses in this campground was closed due to frozen pipes and remodeling. We had to drive to another area to use restrooms and showers. Unfortunately, due to all the extra usage from other camp sites, the showers/bathrooms were filthy and crowded. I know they were doing their best to accomodate everyone but a discount would have been nice to compensate this inconvenience of having to drive to another area for the facilities. Other than that, we enjoyed the fact that the entire south end of the park was at our fingertips and the check in process was amazing.

We booked our stay at trailer village because we planned to hike Rim to Rim. It was a great experience. The village was clean and nice to set up our 5th wheel. The store and post office were right there. The shuttle comes to the entrance to pick you up so you don’t have to worry about parking your car or truck. A well run facility. We highly recommend.

We really enjoyed this park, which is walking distance to the rim of the Grand Canyon - I walked about 15 minutes to Mather Point, one morning at 04:45am, to see the sun rise over the Canyon. The pitches are pull-through and a good size, and the Park is nicely laid out. It is close to everything and cell phones had good phone and data connections. The Canyon shuttle buses, on the blue line, stop at the entrance to the Park. And the elk do hang around the pitches! A good place to stop for visiting the Canyon - which was amazing! We really enjoyed our stay at the Trailer Village RV Park. We were on our way to CA and decided to detour and visit the Grand Canyon! We were pleasantly surprised! The RV park has full hookups option and it’s surrounded by beautiful pine trees and walking / biking trails! There is a park (free) bus stop and the blue bus can take you to the village or near by restaurant! Or if you chose to walk to the Mather point, you can do that in 15 min! We stayed at site #20 and our camper is 28ft long without the hitch. It was perfect space but more on the right side. The spot was the first one on E street so we didn’t have that many neighbors but made a note that if it was any other space, we would be surrounded by campers. You don’t get your spot until you check in. Not sure if you can request a particular spot! Trash was picked up couple times a day and the place was very clean! No loud or party people. We would love to return for longer!
