Very sad to report the decline in service. Staff wasn't friendly, other visitors actually thought I worked there because there was no one in the shop. The t.v. did not work correctly with the Roku or cable. They did not actually sell yarn that is the exact same yarn that is sold at Cameron Trading Post. The stars are still like no other place. If your expectations are for anything other than nature and basics, search elsewhere.

We LOVE staying at Jacob Lake! Breakfast is amazing and service was even better! The room is cozy and the staff was on top whatever we needed. Felt like apart their family (family-owned) and will always come back when we’re in the area and need a place to stay.

My stop at this Inn was excellent. While I never stayed here, I did go in and purchase some snacks & used the clean restroom. There was a cozy fire going and the attendant was kind. They turned a cold experience into a warm & inviting one. I recommend you stop here on your way to Utah as there is nothing else for many miles.

Open in winter even though north rim is closed. Stop by for gas and coffee and the inn keeper offered me a warm home made chocolate cookie, which was otherworldly delicious!

This inn is located right off U.S. Highway 89A, in a beautiful pine forest area. We were passing through enroute to St. George and did not stay at the inn, so this review will not address the hotel side of the business. There is a large parking lot out in front of the inn with a Chevron gas station adjacent to the inn, which we recommend avoiding if possible. Inside the front door is the lobby area for the inn, a gift shop, a u-shape sit down counter restaurant, and a convenience store with some great locally made cookies. Towards the back, there was a large dining area, but it was not open at the time of our visit. There is end a small history type display about the family, which owns the business and the history of the area. The staff were friendly and helpful, and it was a pleasure to do a little business here.

We pass by the inn a couple of times a year and always have to stop by for the amazing cookies! The employees are always very friendly, too, and the surrounding forest is gorgeous. Highly recommend trying the chocolate parfait cookies.

Quick pit stop passing through. Had native american jewelery for sale at with end of season discount. Asked about turquoise and bought a piece. Got to hotel and popped the stone from the ring to reveal it was painted resin.

Jacob Lake Inn — cookies are the name of the game! If you don’t grab some, you’re just crazy. They’ve got a huge selection: gingersnaps, classic chocolate chip, German chocolate cake-style, snickerdoodles, peanut butter — you name it. They sell them by the 1, 6, or 12 pack. Naturally, I walked out with a 12-pack! The place also has clean bathrooms, a traditional convenience store, and a little diner where you can grab a meal. But let’s be real — it’s all about the cookies.

Don’t let the “2-star” scare you, this place is wonderful. Clean and convenient. For the rooms you have the choice of a cabin (DOG FRIENDLY), motel and hotel. There is internet, bathrooms, showers, electricity, and heat at all options. All are on the same property as the store. The Jacob’s Inn Store is your check in, diner (breakfast, lunch and dinner), bakery, dessert stop and a small convenient store. This place is worth the price of the stay! We had a wonderful time and will be back next year.

Fabulous cookies, hand crafted gifts, a small variety store and restaurant are all part of the main building at Jacob’s Lake Inn.|The food was delicious and well priced. The shakes are so wonderful and thick, you need a spoon in the beginning. |The waitstaff were outstanding: Attentive and friendly. |We didn’t stay here, but they have a variety of rooms and cabins.

This is a bit off the beaten path, but after a day of driving or sightseeing in the area, it’s a welcome oasis. The accommodations and restaurant are basic (we are at the counter) but our server, Pita, was so great - fast and friendly. The club sandwich and fries were solid and the blueberry pie was sugary and sweet. Lots of other ice cream and cookie options! Gift shop was nice, but a bit pricey. VictorB

We dealt with the manager Ruby Martinez regarding a very serious personal problem and she showed great empathy, she was very accommodating and generous what is so rare in this world today. the hotel is magnificent, in the heart of the forest and the staff is very kind and smiling. Thanks a million to you Ruby and your amazing team !! ????♂️ Everybody should stop by here once +++

Jacob Lake Inn is in an incredible location. Kaibab Forest and surrounding area is beautiful. Just the drive makes it worth it. The cabin was extremely comfortable, safe and updated! The restaurant is a favorite, as well as the famous cookies and ice cream! Gift shop had beautiful authentic native crafts as well as souvenirs.

Stopped for the world famous cookies and lunch. Wonderful 100 year old establishment. Visitor center gave us great tips for overlook options. Highly recommend!

Our room was very nice with private room for each bed. It was very comfortable. The main office sports a really good amount of native pottery and souvenirs for sale, a cookie counter, and counter service for a very yummy restaurant. We were greeted warmly and helped. The price on the food was very reasonable for the excellent quality of food. The dishes were definitely created by a chef with curated menu.

I have been to the Inn 3 times now and I will make a point to drive north this way EVERY time just to come here! I haven't stayed in a room, but I've had every kind of cookie they offer and they're TO DIE FOR!! Forget the chain cookie stores (ahem... Crumble), these are So. Much. Better! Their shakes are thick, creamy and delicious and I've had a couple of the sandwiches and they're fabulous! I've always had service with a smile too! If you're in the area, don't pass it by! And if you have to drive out of your way to get there, do it.. you won't regret it!!

The location is awesome! We had planned one night but stayed two as the atmosphere was beautiful and the staff was so friendly. We stayed in the hotel so it was very peaceful in the evening and we were able to sleep with the windows open. The dinner was delicious. I had a burger and chicken pot pie, all homemade. The cookies are made daily so the bakery is a great place to start! The North Rim is not too far and we had a great drive both ways. Saw some deer on our way and a herd of bison inside the park which made the trip even sweeter.

Beds, and bedding are not comfortable. During a 4 day stay we never got clean towels or had the room cleaned. The room we stayed in was old, and unique. However I am handicap and the uneven floors were hard to keep my balance, and it felt like we were rolling out of bed all night. People don't follow the no noise after 9 pm and no smoking....but rules are not enforced. I wasn't pleased with the food or restaurant at all. Cook refused to keep my food away from mushrooms which is on every meal on the dinner menu, and I am highly allergic. He actually told the waitress to tell me eat chicken strips or go somewhere else? I was sitting outside the kitchen, and heard him. This is where I was staying and there is nothing near by. After that I drove 45 min one way to Utah to eat. The cookies and ice cream are great. I stayed because of the location. However I don't feel it was worth the money. The cook kinda ruined my trip.

I recently was visiting the Grand Canyon and came along this place looking for dinner. I have to say the fries were some of the best I have ever had. BBQ chicken sandwich was good as well. I received friendly service and the wait time was short. If you’re in this area, give them a try. Thanks for the good meal.

Y'all need to be closer to MN! This place was AMAZING! Raved about it to literally everyone I know ?. The staff is extremely friendly no matter who you run into. It's incredibly peaceful and STUNNING all around you. We stayed in a cabin and it was so cozy and the bed was so comfortable. We just arrived after drive for 48 hours straight and going on very little sleep and a ton of junk food. We were stopping just to fill on gas and found this absolute gem next door. We were starving at this point and so happy to have food. Let me tell you this food isnt to be taken lightly. You have one bite and I'm telling you you are hooked for life. I will never stop thinking about it! It's all homemade and honestly it shows. It was delicious. ❤️ The bakery is outstanding! DO NOT leave this place without trying the bakery. Literally everything here down to the room are so fairly priced! We kept seeing $300-$400 rooms all around, and this was dang near the same thing for way more reasonable. Even the gift shop is reasonably priced which was amazing! Overall 13/10 I hope I'm back to stay again! ❤️❤️❤️

We stopped for dinner and cookies, all delicious! Food was much better than I had expected (after eating in the grand canyon park and being unimpressed with the food options there.) The salad was fresh and yummy, and the chicken pot pie was delicious comfort food! Service was a little bit slow, as others mentioned in reviews, but nothing bad just not great if you're in a hurry ;)

We were doing a road trip from Denver to Phoenix and had booked the Grand Canyon North Rim Lodge. However the closure of the lodge meant a quick change of plan so we booked the Jacob Lake Inn. A lovely forest venue with very quicky but comfy and clean cabins with a decent shower. We ate breakfast and dinner at the inn, all good, and spent rather too much on the cookies and souvenirs. The staff were great. Only downside is the hour drive to the north rim - but if you are luck you'll see lots of wildlife on the way.|100% recommend

The staff was absolutely wonderful, and the food was somehow just as amazing as the staff! My SO and I stopped by to get gas on our way out of Grand Canyon and onto Zion and stopped into this place by chance and we are so so glad we did! They had me at the THICK shake (like, the top of the shake towering past the cup thick) but then they brought out the rest of our food and it was *over!* Everyone was so friendly and our server, Peter, was especially awesome! We know where we will be staying (and eating) the next time we visit the area ?

Such a quant little area. The cabins were amazingly cute. We ended up booking this place after canceling our other motel since this place was closer to our mule ride start. I had no idea it was going to be a super cute cabin. We are staying here two nights for our 10 day trip. I am so glad I clicked on this location! The food at the lodge was amazing. We will be back for breakfastand I bet it will be amazing too. Megan was an amazing and knowledgeable waitress. Would highly recommend.

For a random stay in the middle of no where, this place is rad. The cabins coupled with the awesome weather is lovely. The food in the restaurant was spot on. Jagerschnitzel. It’s good. Staff was warm and helpful. Summer time brings in the young folks, that keep it interesting. I’m for sure coming back.

Large clean rooms, and dinner was great at the dining hall. We particularly loved the homemade lemonades (blueberry and cherry), and the homemade blueberry pie! Our server Justin was super helpful and friendly, even with grand canyon recommendations!

I ate here and their food was delicious, creamy chicken and mushrooms with smashed potatoes. The salad was crisp and refreshing. If you like blue cheese dressing, you will love it here. Absolutely delicious. KATE was a sweet and kind waitress. She paid attention to detail and carried a smile on her face every time she passed the table. I will definitely come back.

The restaurant next to these rooms has the BEST PANCAKES EVER! We were on a 12 day trip from TX to Utah and back, and this place has NEVER left my mind!!! The entire area is the most BEAUTIFUL place on earth, I swear… it is SO peaceful and SO beautiful, it’s just an amazing place. And there’s only one gas station around (I think it says within a 20 mile radius), so get some gas and eat in the restaurant and order the PANCAKES, coffee, and orange juice and enjoy the place!!!

We stayed in a cabin at Jacob's Lake Inn, about a 55 minute drive to Grand Canyon North Rim. The historic cabin was clean and had everything we needed. The bed and pillows were comfortable. We parked right outside the cabin and walked to the lodge which had a dine-in restaurant, a counter you could eat at, a convenience market, gift shop, and delectable freshly made cookies. The staff was very customer service oriented and shouted a welcoming hello each time we entered the lodge. They were busy on the weekend and hustled to serve customers. There's a gas station next door. They had a fire burning in the fireplace on the cold evening that we arrived. It was a charming place with friendly staff and a convenient location - a very good value!

Authentic, warm and friendly, hearty meals and just a wonderful welcoming establishment. Hotel rooms are spacious and quiet, with great views of the forest. Cabins are rustic, comfortable and well appointed. Love the art and crafts at the Inn shop. You can't go wrong staying here or stopping in for a delicious meal.
