If you need a heavy duty tow I recommend Johnson's they got a wrecker out to me fast and there driver was very nice the supervisor I talked to recommend mechanic to take my truck to sense there shop would not be able to get me in for a week I hope I won't need a wrecker service again but if I'm in this area again and need one it will be Johnson's I call thank you to the call center dispatch and the supervisor and the driver that came and towed my truck to a shop I really appreciate you guys
Our motorhome broke down about 20 miles outside Flagstaff. We contacted Johnson’s Heavy Towing and spoke with Jodie who was extremely efficient and helpful regarding how to deal with our towing insurance dispatcher. Even though it was nearly midnight by the time we reached the towing yard, they allowed us to stay in their fenced and gated yard. Although they do no have RV hookups, Christian, our driver, hooked us to a water supply so we could shower and electricity for our refrigerator. In the morning, Scott helped with getting us at out and across the street to the repair shop. Highly recommend this towing service.
These guys were amazing our truck broke down in flagstaff Anthony had a truck to us within 20 minutes and got our truck, gooseneck and driver back to phoenix’s quickly and professionally and for an extremely reasonable price it was a great experience from start to finish and Christopher the driver was also great he was very professional and quick with his work
He knew what he was doing and took the time to do it right. He knew the traffic in the area and arranged help for the safety of all. He explained what he was doing and why.

Their office personnel contacted me immediately to get clear instructions to provide to their driver and made payment arrangements a breeze by providing a link to complete. With our Motor Home we developed and issue and needed a tow for service. We were at MP 208. I-40. After my road service company contacted Johnson's they were on site in 45 minutes, it took about an hour for the to hook up. That included droping the drive line and running a airline for the brakes.
They were very prosional and answered all my questions. Best experince I have had with a towing service.
Johnson’s Heavy Towing was very responsive in assisting me when I had engine trouble and was stranded along 17. They came out at 8:00 at night and got me off a very busy road.

The operator was punctual and very friendly and complete the job quickly without damage. They did quote me a price that was a little steep, but in their defense, they did travel a little over 100 miles round-trip, I believe. The actual job was not time-consuming or difficult was an easy winch out so I’m not complaining..I hope the operator got a good commission he deserves it. I would recommend Johnson to other people and will be using them again when I need them.
Very thorough and efficient heavy duty towing of my truck and trailer. Thoughtful of selecting where to place them at our interim destination, ready for a secure overnight stay, and an easy morning connection.
Joseph (Jody) was the greatest! I was in the middle of nowhere after hitting an elk and it was 24 degrees outside! Really nice guy, was fast getting to me (I was 35 miles away, it was 10pm, he was sleeping when I called and yet he was there to get me about an hour after calling). Incredible response time! He took me to a hotel, took my van with him after dropping me off, then came back the next day so I could grab anything I forgot in the van. After that, he held my van in their lot for a few days till the shop I needed the van to go to was open for them to accept it. Overall made a bad situation much much better. I've used a tow truck a few times before and everyone I dealt with in the past took hours to get to me and then they aren't always friendly. Not the case with these guys! Highly recommend them, even if you have a smaller vehicle. Thanks Jody! Really appreciate your tireless work while still being quick, understanding, helpful and friendly!
Awesome as always! Had a truck break down and they were quick to respond. Scott did an amazing job and then went above and beyond when the shop they were supposed to drop at couldn't take the truck and he patiently waited while we found another shop that could. Outstanding customer service! Thank you Scott for making sure my driver wasn't stuck somewhere waiting on another tow. Things like this is why I highly recommend Johnson's for any towing needs you may have.

Stephanie dispatched a driver to help me and my wife when my Isuzu blew a serpentine belt. Christian was a welcome sight as we waited in the desert with our broken vehicle. He got us settled in the cab while he connected the broken truck to his amazing tow truck. We were on our way, and he got us safely to the shop where we will have the repairs done. Christian and the team at Johnson’s Heavy towing were friendly, and helpful, and provided a service that, while I would rather not need it, was well received at a time of crisis. Kudos and many thanks for a job well done!!
One star for the rudeness and for him hanging up in my face after a courtesy call. 1st call - it felt like a bother just trying to get information on how his operation works.
Heads up - he charges $250/hr. Not necessarily a horrible price for the service, but decided not to use him.
Awesome tow service. Was stuck in sand right on the side of the road. Scott was professional and helpful I doubt I would have been able to get out the situation I was in as quickly with a different tow service. He arrived before the estimated time I received from my company and explained the entire process while ensuring our safety since we were in dangerous location. Highly recommend and will definitely contact if I need help in the future.
Blew a tire on my RV. After waiting more than 10 hours for AAA to arrange a tow, I called Johnson's and they were there within an hour. Picked the RV up at a rest area 35 miles east of Flagstaff, towed it to my RV Park, helped me set it up, pleasant, efficient, expensive, but got me out of a major bind. Thanks guys!
The dispatcher was polite and helpful and helped me generate and send a pin in my maps app so they could locate me near a forest service road. Then the responder Sean was very capable and friendly and quickly got me winched out of a mud pit, and made sure I was safely back on the road. Very satisfied!
At 5:00 pm on a Friday We were stranded in our pickup pulling our 40’ camper on I17 near Camp Verde thanks to the highway patrol making connections to Johnson Heavy towing, we were safely towed to a rv resort where he had a fellow mechanic waiting to help us assess the pickup and help us park the Rv. They were so professional and worked quickly to get us to safety. We are from Iowa and had no connections with no idea who to call. Thank you Johnson’s Heavy Towing!
