WOW! Can’t say enough about this crew! Very personal and genuine on top of helping me with my stranded rental 4hrs away from the airport for a replacement. Flagstaff Towing is a predatory scam. They towed my car from the spot I paid $100/month for—because I parked slightly angled to avoid a mountain of snow my complex failed to remove.
FYI: Landlords are legally required to maintain safe, accessible parking—they didn’t. Instead, they had me towed… walking distance away.
Then Flagstaff Towing demanded $300 in cash only, refusing card—which is illegal under AZ law (ARS § 28-4847).
I have photos showing the snow hazard. They ignored that and held my car hostage.
This is predatory and unlawful. If this happened to you too, file a complaint with the Arizona Attorney General.
This company is definitely shady they want to definitely steal money from the students. They collector $320 and I’m still trying to figure out what it was for $320 to tow a car in the local area is a bit too much. They also make students pay in cash because they don’t want any paper trail. Be very careful before you work with these people I will be reporting them as well.
Crooked, disrespectful thieving, rude, liars. There's no posting or painting that would put me in violation. Yet my truck was hostage untill I came up with $270 cash. Nevermind their sign reads $155 hook-up $5.95 a mile $25 a day storage. Towing it three miles just doesn't ad up correctly. So not only did I loose a day of work but I have to pay a ridiculous unjustified inflation. What does Liz the manager for the Arbors say you might ask. I was told it's a matter I have to deal with the tow company about.
Family member had a rollover accident last weekend, and we called these guys for help getting it back to our cabin. They came out in the quoted window and showed up at the cabin with the truck and dropped it off. The driver was very nice and both people I talked to expressed concerns that everyone was safe. Thank you all!
Shady business makes you pay in cash. Had a parking permit on my car and was still towed. Made me pay 320 cash sure it isn’t being sent to the IRS. Business should be investigated thoroughly. Guy and his wife or daughter couldn’t really tell were super scummy and shady. Keep conducting shady business loser. Reported to BBB, good luck Estevan.
Money hungry and unprofessional company as you can see by their review responses. Was at the standard and rushing from the very top floor to get to my car by 11, got there 11:02 should’ve left earlier (that’s on us) but left the apartment before 11 and didn’t get to the retail lot until then. Truck already has a car on the hitch and every car is booted. Retail lot closes at 11, already towing at 11:02. This clearly shows boots were put on before. Took forever to finally negotiate them down to $40 but cash only, who in their right mind carries $180 in cash on them by the way?? Do what you have to do to keep your company running I guess but questionable morals stealing from college kids.
They were friendly and quick. Getting an answer on the phone was slightly a challenge but you can text them and they answer or call you back immediately. After my accident the tow driver took me where I needed to go. They did not mind that I had my semi large dog with me. When I got to the place I needed to go (the hospital ) I actually couldn’t stay due to having my dog. The driver went ahead and gave me a ride somewhere else. Went out of their way to help me as I was hours away from home.
Following that I couldn’t make it back to the yard by the time they closed so the guy that towed me actually came back to let me in which was greatly appreciated.
They are kind and quick. I’m glad this is the team that helped me when I needed it.
Overpriced sure. Like any other tow company. Made me and 4 others wait for an hour past the appointment time, sure whatever. But what gets me is that they offered a couple hundred bucks off the tow charge for some other guy at my apartment building if he left them a good review and gave a sob story, but not for me. I mean if you’re going to do that kinda thing under the table then fine but at least keep it consistent. Would not recommend an inconsistent towing company. They also messed with my cars 4wd system and now the automatic locks won’t work and they kindly said to go away when I attempted to reach out.
Estevan is amazing! Towed our car to 2 places, called his friend and got us into a repair shop. Even drove us to our house in town. Such a nice man and genuine Good Samaritan. We are grateful for him and Flagstaff Towing. Don’t let the bad reviews fool you- they obviously don’t understand parking signs.
My daughter's truck was towed while she was at a friend's house. I happened to be in town visiting so the next morning (a Sunday), we drove over to the garage and called the number on the sign. It was 7:00 am and we were told they do not release vehicles until 9:30 am and that it would be a $320.00 cash-only cost to receive the truck back. I got the cash for her but then had to leave. She went over at 9:30 and had to wait 30 minutes to get the truck returned to her. When the employee brought it to her, he told her it would be $450.00!!!! He was trying to scam her out of more money! Fortunately, she is strong and told him no way. What a scam---these poor college kids make a parking mistake and it costs them $$$$$$ and then they try to get more money?????? I am livid! I wish I could give ZERO stars!!!!!!
If I could give 0 stars I would. Super scummy company. Offered to take down the price if I gave a good review on an already outrageous fee to get my car back. Only accepts cash even though super illegal in Arizona. If your car gets towed by them I wish you luck. Look them up on Better Business Bureau!!!
Illegally only takes cash and says it’s because “people always cancel or refund it” like there isn’t an Arizona law stating it’s illegal. Private property has nothing to do with it. It’s still illegal! Dude was super rude and didn’t even try to explain why it cost a small fortune of cash for my car. (Over 400). Super super predatory towing company.
Also tries to play off the bad reviews like it’s only because we parked in a bad spot. You literally sit at the bottom of the place waiting for the exact time to hit before towing every car downstairs. (At the standard). You leave no time for human error. And don’t act like you’re a small flagstaff business. You don’t deserve that and the F on better business bureau makes this very clear.
You know maybe if you didn’t prey on college students and charged normal prices you wouldn’t have so many bad reviews! Shocker!
Notice how Economy Towing and every other towing company in flagstaff has an A+, it’s almost like something shady is happening here. Wow if you put 2 and 2 together it looks like they’re a horrible company who scams customers.
When the reviews get to a point where you have to argue and “defend yourself” you might think to yourself. Hmmm, maybe I’ll give the people downstairs 10-15 minutes to come down if they forgot about the parking rules. But no, you decided to just argue and state the obvious “look at the sign” gimmick in every response. We did look at the sign, you just wait until exactly 11 and if we’re even 5 minutes late the car is gone and we’re charged with some bogus private lot fees.
When you see the college student with less than 100 dollars in their account crying in front of your gross dirt lot do you get joy from it? Do you wake up in the morning and think wow, I’m doing so much for my community can’t wait to start work again? I’m sure your a joy to be around.

Our tire was basically shredded and we were stranded on the side of the highway for almost 7-8 hours- No other tow company would get to us in less than an hour and after calling the state trooper department of Flagstaff, they gave me the number for this company, which with only a 7 minuet call I was immediately told they were grabbing their flatbed and heading our way. Got to us in less than 50 minuets (We were almost 18 minuets from the South entrance of Flagstaff and it was already hitting 8:30PM.). Not only were they the cheapest option but willing to grab us right away and have us pay AFTER towing us to our destination. Thank you again, genuinely. We would be stuck in the middle of the highway without them. Definitely recommend.
They also were familiar with Tesla which is the car we have, made it easy and quick, drove with three of us in the car on the flatbed so no need for uber. (Other companies were saying we would have to uber or catch a ride because they wouldnt be able to carry us.) So thankful they were willing to drive all three of us with the car.

The man who helped me was named Estevan, the nicest person we had to work with today as well. Worked easy with us and helped us help him. Knew exactly where we needed to go and drove carefully with us. All three of us are so thankful.

Paid 200 flat for the tow. Which other companies were asking for almost 400. Fast, convenient, considerate, and the cheapest option offered to us today.
I live in an apartment complex with assigned parking. I was told to call this towing company if someone parked in my parking spot. And obviously they are open 24 hours. I called them around 12:30 am to have a car towed from my spot. They told me the driver was having issues with his truck that needed to be fixed before they could. So I stayed up waiting for them to let me know that the truck was on his way. I called again at 3:30 am and still the driver was working on his truck. So I just went to bed. I checked again at 9:30 am and the car still was not towed so I called them again and they said they were heading to me right then. An hour goes by and still nothing. I had to go down to the leasing office and have them call the tow company again to get this car towed. An hour later they showed up and towed the car. So at this point, 11 hours after I initially called they towed the car. This is absolutely ridiculous that it took 11 hours for them to tow a car. I wish I could rate them 0 stars
Our driver, Jon, picked our campervan off the I40 some 80 miles out of Flagstaff during a storm. We drove straight towards the lightening show in the clouds and ended up at our repair shop. Jon placed our campervan with perfect precision between two other cars and we elected to stay the night. We were very relieved when he arrived. Thanks Jon.
This company predatory and activity stole money from me. The only reason this company is still in business is because they are stealing money from college students. My car was there less than 36 hours (not even two days) and they charged me for 3 days. Meaning that they wouldn’t give me my car back until I payed more than what I should’ve owed. They also pack on so many fees on top of the impound charge. When you call the man was extremely rude and disrespectful. You have to pay in cash (suspect for sure). I was originally supposed to pay almost $400 until I called and they “accidentally” had a $60 fee on my car. They have an F rating on better business bureau. Businesses that employee this company should be embarrassed and if they’re not they are as crooked as this tow company.
It was a very good experience. The young man took every precaution you could think of.
My truck broke down while towing my travel trail. One tow truck did the job. Put my truck on the back, and towed my trailer. He even took my trailer and myself to an rv park, and continued onto take my truck to a shop. I would definitely recommend.

I go outside to go to work and my car is GONE. Yes, I filed a police report but the police asked THEM why they took it and accepted their word. FIRST they tried to claim they towed for the city b/c I was in the snow/tow zone (not). Then that I was in the bike lane. Then that I was parked on the sidewalk. We had video proof that they came onto private property and towed my car! THEN they tried to claim they'd repo'd my car - I had to get an affidavit from my auto loan company that they did NOT do that.
Then "oh, well, we towed the car and it's in our lot you have to give us MONEY" - BTW, you have to make an appointment to get your car back and you can't have an appointment till next week by then you'll owe us like $800. Since they had no legal right to STEAL my car I was like do I have to come to my "appointment" with the police? then they sent me a text to come to my appointment and I didn't have to pay anything, BUT I was still without my car (had to rent one!) from Wednesday morning till Monday morning.

TLDR: Terrible company, scams people, asks for “cash only,” to release your vehicle to you. If you pay with card they add-on outrageous fees (at one point told me it would be $900 in addition to the tow charge) claiming that “people dispute the charge.”
I got a windshield replacement and before I got a new sticker to put on my windshield for parking, my car was towed. The apartment complex that I live at even said that I didn’t need the sticker as long as my car is registered on the portal (which it is). When I asked the tow company why they towed my car they said it was because of the missing parking sticker. When I said that it’s registered online, they proceeded to say, “we don’t have access to the portal where the cars are registered.” Okay, so why not verify with the apartment complex before towing a car that is legally parked? I asked if I was parked illegally; they said no. I asked if there were no more parking spaces; they said no. I asked if someone asked them to tow me; they said no.
If you find yourself in a similar situation, where they are forcing you to pay cash to release your vehicle after it was illegally towed, do yourself a favor and involve the police. It is illegal to withhold a vehicle for a “cash only” payment, they must provide other methods of payment. Additionally, make sure you pay with a CREDIT card (not a debit one, which they will ask for) and DISPUTE the charge, you can submit proof to your credit card company if they ask and you’ll win the dispute. :)
Be ready to never speak to anyone that can help. My car was towed because my parking pass expired (my own fault) and was told that it was put into the system at 11 pm on Saturday. I go on Sunday to retrieve my car but the whole lot was closed and no one was around to help. I called 3 times and no one answered. I then go on Monday to get my car, and to nobody’s surprise, no one is there again except for the auto shop next door. Apparently they have a deal going on with the tow yard where the auto shop will release your car to you for CASH ONLY.
Before I paid for anything, I asked for a list of charges and fees so I could know what I was paying for. The auto shop guy told me that he can’t print anything to show because he doesn’t work for the tow company, but he can still take my cash and release my vehicle. Mind you, the tow company guys are all out apparently and can’t talk to me about fees or show me anything in writing. He mentioned all of the fees and the days that my car was in storage for. 3 whole days is what I was charged for, even though that the first night, my car was only in the lot for 1 HOUR. Sounds very fishy and scheme-y. Before I pay for anything, I once again call the tow yard to speak with someone who actually works there and ask about the storage fees and and he said I should’ve called the day before l, which I did and showed up in person and it was closed, and all he could muster up was “I’m sorry about that”. Did not do anything to help, nor did he try excusing the business for being closed on days where I should be able to get my car. I was charged for 3 days storage. 1 of which was only for 1 HOUR, and the other was for a day I was unable to get my car because no one answered the phone or could help me in person.
This place loves to scam college students out of their money. This place needs to be reported to the Better Business Bureau. They are scheming thieves who do not help anyone but themselves.
The best word for this company is predatory. The charges and fees taxed on for their "services" is ridiculous. The establishment is completely unprofessional and incompetent. On two occasions were we trying to pick up our cars and were first told to wait 25 minutes for them to actually show up. Then on the second attempt we're told they weren't even there and had their neighboring auto shop do their work for them. Not to even mention multiple times when trying to contact this business our calls were sent to voicemail. This place is definitely a scam only accepting cash to obtain your car. Completely unprofessional taking the money outside on a dirt lot and asking for no proof of which car was ours and incredibly disrespectful when asking questions or trying to retrieve our cars.
If I could give this place zero stars I would. They are complete rip-offs and actively steal from people by forcing them to pay cash and pocketing the excess. I have been towed after being parked in a space for less than an hour, towed when I had a valid pass in my vehicle, and each time was charged close to THREE HUNDRED DOLLARS when my car was literally towed ACROSS THE STREET.
I know for a FACT that they are stealing from people as I experienced a tow and was charged 360 dollars, whereas my friend towed literally the day before with a nearly identical vehicle was charged 285.
Another person I know was towed last year and only charged 180 with CARD.
DO NOT trust these people.

Update. They were open. The repair shop associated with them was marked as closed. It was my daughter’s mistake; however they over billed and when challenged they altered their invoice. I have the original invoice. Again, don’t believe just me. Check out the BBB and Google reviews
This company was extremely unprofessional and disrespectful. The price for the tow/impound was extreme. Calls to the phone number are repeatedly sent to voicemail. On two occasions we went to pick up the vehicles and a worker was not there (during the posted hours). This company was so incompetent employees at the neighboring automotive shop we’re doing the job of releasing the vehicle. Receipt was not sent unless demanded. This company did not seem professional at all, financial exchange occurred outside in the dirt and did not get asked for an ID or any identifying information. Was shocked to see an individual walk up to the gate into the car lot holding my vehicle and walk past my vehicle despite me not being able to get my vehicle back for another 30 minutes.
My rental car broke down halfway to the Grand Canyon on New Year's Eve. The rental company wanted the car towed to Phoenix (!). Chase Roadside Services quoted $1700, while a local towing company asked for $1500.
Estevan with Flagstaff Towing and Recovery only asked for $900 when I called them late at night about service the next morning.
Moreover, he gave us a ride to Flagstaff to two different rental car locations (one of which was closed) before heading to Phoenix.
Polite, professional service. Competitive pricing.
Illegally towed my car, just arrived from florida. Git permission to park in future residence while we get paperwork done. And this guy takes our car and hangs up on me. I did not disrespect him only informed him of what's going on. I'll be taking it a step further. Took lots of pictures.

Horrible customer service! I called several times to get a vehicle towed. Once, I was asked for pictures of the car, which I promptly sent, but I was waiting for a response. Each time I called, I was told they would reply shortly.
I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THEM!
Their driver (I wish I knew his name) was so nice and on time to tow my car off I-17 during a Sunday, when the coolant hose bursted, and take us to an auto service in Flagstaff that was open that day.
