Popped by for a quick lunch in a local Navajo restaurant. Great portion sizes and lovely staff. Would have posted a pic of our sharing appetiser sampling plate but we ate it too quickly. ? Didn’t stay in a room so can’t comment on that, but if the decor is as lovely as the restaurant, I think it’d get a 5* from me too.

THIS IS FOR THE GIFT SHOP ONLY, we did not stay at the hotel. We were so glad we stopped at Cameron Trading Post. The staff were friendly and helpful, the store is high quality, and the selection of authentic items was excellent. It was a highlight of our trip and we can’t wait to shop there again.

A beautiful historical hotel and gift shop with a great restaurant and gardens. Good prices and clean room. It’s one of those places you pass by and wish you could go. Guess what? You can! #noregrets

Here’s my two cents. I wanted to go here so bad and talked it up to my family. We ordered the green chile stew, a Navajo taco and a French dip on fry bread. Service was not so good. Took a long time to get drinks. The taco had no flavor. It wasn’t good at all. The French dip was ok and the stew was really bad. Nothing was gross, but nothing had flavor. I wouldn’t waste my money. I saw a lot of stands along the side of the road and maybe they would’ve been a better choice. The stuff in the store is so expensive. But it’s all cool stuff. It’s just a really touristy place.

We made a pit stop here. The restrooms were nice and TOASTY. Lots of mementos to buy. I was able to buy postage for post cards and drop it off at the post office in the same lot. There are great views from there too!

Strategically located for visiting Grand Canyon, Antelope Canyon , Monument Valley and Bryce Canyon . Stayed there for 4 nights and I drove to all four best spots in the western USA. Rooms are clean and spacious and reasonable priced as the Motel is very huge and never goes full . Restaurant is 250 seats and offers Native American hospitality with Mexican and American food . Food quality is hit or miss as some portions are huge but Soups are served in a tiny cup and charged 5 dollars for 5 tablespoons !! Shell Gas station on premises was useful to top up gas every evening after your day trip . A must stay if you want to visit the Canyon lands .

Customer service was great! The store has a lot of authentic NA made items for sell. ||The Navajo taco was blah for being so hyped up. I didn’t even bother finishing it. And their guacamole lacked flavor. Liver and onions was very good!

This shop is very tourist-oriented. The storytelling around the knives makes them seem artisanal, but my experience didn’t match that. I later found the same knife for $45 elsewhere, while I paid over $200 here. Disappointed with the value.

If traveling thru then DO stop in for at least something to eat. Really good food! Staff was great and service quick. If you want a souvenir with a native feel I do believe the trading post has it! Some nice local pottery and then the funky stuff from China too.

A lot to like about Cameron Trading Post. I booked a couple nights here because how centrally located it is to the South Rim of the Grand Canyon, Sedona and Page. And they have Fry bread. The store and restaurant does not stay open late(at least in November), closing at 8. But if you need to check in late, there's someone in the building nearest the gas station. The room we stayed in was clean and woodsy, with a lot of Navajo design to it. Everything was clean and working. Only the water was a little lukewarm in the shower. But overall, very nice. The restaurant also had a very old school lodge decor to it. The service was excellent, very friendly and the food was delicious. First night we had Navajo tacos with their signature fry bread. Nachos and guac were amazing. The next night we had green chili burgers and those were very good. But the chopped green chilis on top stored massive amounts of heat. Watch your mouth, lol. Again, I can't say enough about the location. It's at the intersection of 64 and 89. 64 takes you to the east entrance of the South Rim. The South entrance was a total mess, incredibly overcrowded. It's where 90% of visitors enter. Our day at the GC ended just after sunset, at Lipan Point. We were 35 minutes away from Cameron. Checked in, had dinner and then went back to Lipan for astrophotography. Still was back at the room and in bed before 10:30PM. Next day was a 90 minute drive to Sedona. At sunset, we headed back to Cameron. Had dinner at 7:30. Had a nice relaxing night. Then a 1 hour 40 minute drive to Page for a fun day. I was very happy with the location and the comfort. And, for being a one off, it was still very easy to book and deal with. Now that the Grand Canyon hotels are closed for the foreseeable future, Cameron is going to be an even better place to stay.

An amazing motel, a historical place, well kept, with solid quality furniture. AC was a little bit loud, but for the rest we loved the atmosphere and how clean and nit it was. Highly recommend yhe souvenir shop and restaurant too.

This was our first visit to Cameron Trading Post and, now that I’ve been here, I’ll never stay anywhere else when visiting Grand Canyon or other nearby attractions. The meals were great (quality, variety, price) and the dining room is beautiful. The hotel rooms are spacious and immaculate. (They have windows that open! Parking near your room! No hot, suffocating down comforters! A closet, not Lego-like hooks! Good pillows!) Face it: the lodges up in Grand Canyon are overpriced and uncomfortable; the food is dismal; the mob scene you face to do anything is tiresome. This place is a real gem, just 25 miles from the east entrance to the park.

I just stopped at the Cameron Trading Post restaurant, and honestly, I wasn't super impressed. The food was nothing special and the fries were quite bland. The Trading Post was very out of the way and I had about an hour of a drive just to get there. Much of the jewelry in the shop was greatly overprices, but a very large selection.

It was a recommended visit for reliable and authentic navajo jewelry. Jeff, Theresa, and a manager (who's name i can't remember!) Were awesome. I found a navajo pearl bracelet that I had been looking for but it was too big. Jeff immediately asked his mgr if it could be re beaded and then shipped to me. Theresa was more than willing to help and they all made it happen. Jeff was extremely knowledgeable with the pieces and stones that they sell and even shared with me how he has started making his own jewelry and silversmithing, which was beautiful. I couldn't have been more pleased with meeting him and finding exactly what I was looking for. I will definitely stop in when I'm in the area again.

Unique souvenirs and beautiful masterpieces of carved wood-figures and fabrics displayed in the museum. Food in the restaurant was tasty but only okay (affordable but dry sandwiches, loved all the prickly pear-dishes and drinks!).

My Lady has never had a Navajo Taco. Cameron Trading Post serves the BEST Tacos in the area, so we took a little trip out for her to experience them first hand!! The food was AMAZING, and the rustic decor and views are worth checking out!! The gift shop is also amazing offering just about anything you would want, and even several things you didn’t know you wanted or need too!! Great place to stop for great food and also things to remember the trip through!!

The Trading Post was such a convenient and beautiful place to stay! Easy off/easy on to Hwy 89. We were in the Hopi building, 3rd floor, and had a great view of the river. It was surprisingly quiet given that it is right on the highway. So nice to have the restaurant right next to the rooms. Really good food, extremely reasonable prices! Our server was so kind and helpful. The trading post had some very unique Native American crafts and art, plus a huge selection of touristy souvenirs. We were just passing through on this trip, but the next time we head to both rims of the Grand Canyon, we'll stay there again. Bonus: there is a post office on the grounds as well.

We Always stop here for lunch when we're up in the area. All the staff are friendly!! Lots of items in the large gift shop are made by the local Navajo/Hopi tribes...beautiful items & I always find something to buy for myself or as a gift. I love the Indian Fry Bread!! Did I say how much I like the staff?? Very lovely people...Always! We've been here numerous times since moving to the Verde Valley last year & we'll keep coming back. Dining room is very large so they can accommodate large groups, plenty of staff to take care of all the customers.

We drove 3 hours round trip out of our way to have lunch here. This is a must stop! More authentic, American Indian made items than you can imagine. If you're looking for something really special, there's a separate store with antique pieces. The restaurant is busy but has the service worked out so there's not too much waiting. The atmosphere is old, elegant and there is a great view of red rocks. I highly recommend anything with the Indian fry bread - stew, burger, taco or French dip.

Great place to take a pit stop. Fill up the car, get food - either snacks or a sit down meal, ooorrrr even both! US Post Office to mail your cards. Lots of souvenirs and high end Navajo/Dinè items such as pottery [from the teens up to the hundreds] and Navajo/Dinè rugs. There's a hotel and an antique Navajo/Dina center.

Rating the Fry Bread & Beef Stew…..5 stars. Came with fry bread and topped with beans, cheese, lettuce, tomatoes and green chile. Best one I’ve had in a looooong time. We also had the Beef Stew which was incredible and super flavorful. Can’t wait to stop in again.

We went to the restaurant. The flavors were amazing, the staff were pleasant, and the service was fast! We ordered the Navajo taco, prickly pear chicken, and the prickly pear drinks. 10/10 would recommend all of it! It’s also a beautiful dining area with a s s unset view of the mountain!

We stopped in for dinner/shopping during a road trip. The restaurant is decorated wonderfully with a beautiful tin ceiling and native art hanging everywhere. The building is historic and feels amazing to spend time in a place so many other souls have passed thru while traveling. Take time to see all the beautiful art in the shop as well- these artists are so talented!! It should be a museum.

This was a pull over and shop, type stop for us so I can’t comment on the food or hotel. The shopping area was, however, huge and had amazing local artwork. Some were very unique and authentic Navajo, and extremely beautiful and expensive. Most items, however, were normal stuff at normal touristic prices. Lots of variety! VictorB

We just walked into the store to stretch our legs and see what it was. I loved it! I wish I took more pictures but this is what I have lol. They have native American crafts and jewelry, a market for to-go food, a restaurant, clean bathrooms, and tons of things to buy from handcrafted jewelry, pottery, pictures rugs, clothes...you name it, they made it. Very nice place to stop!!

Definitely an experience, huge amount of Native American hand made jewelry, pottery, blankets and art. My wife, mother and I ate lunch there, they had the Navajo tacos, and I had the hot beef on fry bread. Great food and the service was excellent.

The rooms are nice and spacious and for a decent price. It has a beautiful garden area to take a little walk or just to enjoy the outdoors we saw a bunch of hummingbirds around. The store is really big and great to get some gifts for family and friends. The food was okay I wouldn’t recommend the lamb sandwich but the fried chicken was really good.

The most delicious Navajo Taco I have ever had. It is fresh, fluffy yet crispy. There was plenty of fry bread around the taco that I had it with honey! I highly recommend this restaurant which is in the Trading Post The room atmosphere is delightful with glass windows that overlook the Rocky Mountains. The decor includes beautiful rugs, baskets, kachina dolls & lots of Navajo art The staff was helpful & friendly but Brynda was the best waitress who definitely made my meal a delicious experience. Thank you!
