Wonderful resort in Port Alsworth Alaska. Fly in from Anchorage. Lodge rooms are really nice, especially the new ones at the end. Right on the Lake so view is fantastic. Meals included and are fantastic. Great portions and all really well done. Flight tours to Lake Clark and Katmei NP. Great hiking nearby. Staff are wonderful. I cannot possibly recommend this higher. Just wonderful.

Fantastic from start to finish! All of the staff had warm and friendly greetings. Our room is just lovely and new. The beds were extremely comfortable. Room was well suited for a family of 4 or 5. The food was amazing and plentiful. Each night was different and delicious. |The excursions were unbelievable! We started with a flight to Katmai, Brooks Falls. Amazing! Next day we did the Tundra tour in bush planes. The guides were very experienced and shared so much information about the land and animals. So much fun and we saw so many animals and the ground was just cool. So much fun and different being in the bush planes and landing in open areas. We went to "wild" Katmai with our same pilot as our first Katmai trip. He was absolutely the best pilot and guide. He knew that patience and calmness was the key to having a great experience. We had a mama and 3 cubs visit with us several times and mama bear even left the babies with us for a bit while she fished. We would not have had this kind of experience without Sasha, our guide/pilot. The Fire and Ice tour was breathtaking. Overall, so much fun and memories that will last a lifetime. |Advice, get out and do the excursions as well as hike around the Lake Clark area.

We brought our friends back for our second trip. They were as impressed as we were during our first visit. We spent a week in the area with various guides. The trip was excellent and well planned (we were given input on options). Every day was a new adventure. The accommodations were perfect. The meals were excellent. We felt at home. We ill hopefully visit again while we remain active.||Our cabin was in excellent shape. We could not have asked for anything better.||Salmon ran BIG TIME this year, so there were plenty of bears in Katmai at Brooks Falls and other areas.

We really enjoy this place, so much in fact, that this was our second time here. The room is basic but clean and quiet; just what you would expect in outback Alaska. The food is wonderful and plentiful with a focus on any dietary restrictions for those that need them.

I would give Lake Clark Resort 10 stars. Cabins are nice, food is fantastic, service is top notch, and the scenery/excursions are breathtaking. Shout outs to Mikiah and Eric for making our stay even better!

The atmosphere is breathtaking, the service is top notch, and the food is outstanding and farm to table! The staff were amazing and very communicative and friendly, all of our excursions were jaw dropping. This was our second time here, and we will be back a third!

What an amazing spot! It was my family, and my second time here and it never ceases to amaze us! The staff is friendly, food and service are outstanding especially considering the remote location. Would be here year round if we could! We went fishing with wonderful guides, and did a Brooks Camp excursion with amazing pilots. Love that it is family run and we could not recommend it more!

The Farm Lodge provides an unrivaled setting and scruptious food in the heart of Lake Clark National Park. The cabin is on the shore with an okay bed, nice bathroom and shower with good water pressure. The pillows are not good, but that is a minor issue at most. ||Our two night stay included a full day in Katmai National Park. We were flown by float plane to Katmai to spend a day with the famous brown bears at Brooks Falls. The flight was over rivers, valleys and through mountains including overflying the full length of Valley of the 10,000 Smokes. The pilot was a real pro and the flight filled with unrivaled scenery. ||Everyone eats at the same time. The food could not be better. The portions ample. The only issue was the before meal prayer. A prayer is fine and the owners are up front about the custom but they should make sure it is non denominational prayer or a moment of silence. They would be inclusive. The prayers were to the owners god and that was offputting. ||The staff was friendly. The grounds well kept. The views on the lake shore inspirational. ||This is an expensive place to stay but the money is well spent.

We stayed at Lake Clark Resort for a night at the conclusion of our backcountry trip with AAA guides and were really impressed with the place! The staff were all very kind and helpful, the room was clean and had a gorgeous view of the bay/mountains/floatplanes, the meals were delicious, and the flights in/out were a fun experience with great pilots. It may be a bit more work to get here than it is to your nearest Holiday Inn, but the time and money are well worth it. Special shoutouts to Glen and Ned for the smooth flights and for braving a bit of inclement weather to get us in/out of the backcountry, and Caleb and Landon for being a good hosts and chatting us up with recommendations and stories of the area’s history when we ran into them in separate occasions at the Cranberry Cache.

We were so warmly welcomed to the Lake Clark family. The fishing guides Riley and Brandon were kind, friendly, and generous with us. They taught us a lot about local culture. Our guide to Brooks Falls (Katmai National Park), Sasha, was an experienced pilot and knowledgeable guide. The food was delicious, and having set meal times helped us get to know the other guests. Please be sure to rehearse how to use bear spray. You can borrow it from the front desk or “cache.” It is really rare you’ll need it, but it’s better to be prepared if you’re going to hike in the woods by the lodge.

We absolutely loved our stay at The Farm Lodge. The whole place was very serene and we got to meet some wonderful fellow travelers, most of whom are also trying to visit all 63 National Parks. The view from our cabin was so beautiful, it almost didn't seem real. The 3-course dinners prepared each evening were fantastic, and we loved getting to custom-order our sack lunches for the next day. They accommodated my gluten allergy with ease. The staff were very helpful and the grounds are well-maintained. This was the perfect home base for hiking Tanalian Falls, Kontrashibuna Lake, and Tanalian Mountain - all were stunning destinations. We were on a budget so didn't take any of the guided day trips/flightseeing, but heard great things. Wish we could have stayed more than 2 nights, but we'll never forget our visit here!

We had the opportunity to stay at this family-owned resort on the Alsworth family homestead in remote Alaska. I highly recommend a stay here. We enjoyed flight-seeing in Lake Clark National Park, a day flight and guide to Katmai National Park and a full day tour via boat of Lake Clark. The excursions were excellent. Meals were included in our room rate with selections available for breakfast and a sack lunch. Dinner is a preset menu. The food was excellent, generous in serving size and supplemented by produce from their greenhouses on site. The staff, which included family members, offered outstanding service and were extremely knowledgeable about the area. Our cabin was generous in size and had a washer and dryer- not all cabins do. Port Alsworth is a dry community, so if you need an evening cocktail you will need to fly it in. Easy access to the Lake Clark National Park visitor center and hiking trails are nearby. We flew in through Lake Clark Air - also owned by the Alsworth family.

I can't say enough good things about Lake Clark Resort and the people who work there! My husband and I celebrated our wedding anniversary at Lake Clark Resort by enjoying 7 wonderful days at the Farm Lodge. We chose the Lake Clark and Katmai National Park Combo Package and were treated to the most incredible adventures - truly a trip of a lifetime! We've been to many areas of Alaska and this is now our favorite part of Alaska. We were there during the week of peak Autumn colors and got to see such beautiful scenery and a great variety of wildlife. When planning our trip, I was most interested in visiting Brooks Falls and seeing the bears. That was certainly a highlight of the trip, but the other excursions surpassed our expectations. The pilots and guides are extremely experienced and you will feel very safe with them. I was a little afraid of flying in float planes, but quickly learned I was in great hands with Glen and Sasha. The guides have so much knowledge they can share with you and also teach you about the history and culture of the area. The staff at the Lodge were amazing! David was a wonderful Host. He was on top of everything and always kept us posted on what was next and helped whenever we had questions. I have many food issues, including being celiac. I shared my food limitations with Salina in advance. I was treated to a delicious and safe eating experience the entire trip. I was excited every day to see what I was going to eat. My husband enjoyed their regular meals and was well fed. The dining room staff were so kind and friendly and made our stay even more special. We can't wait to plan our next trip back to the area! There is so much more we want to see. We will definitely be staying at The Farm Lodge again.

We spent a week at the Farm Lodge while visiting Lake Clark & Katmai National Parks. The tours of the parks were incredible, seeing the parks via float plane is a wonderful to experience the scenery and really get the scope of the parks. All of the guides were very knowledgeable and lived in the area. We did the Lake Clark and Katmai National Park Combo package and every day was fabulous. I'd enjoy doing any or all of those tours again. We stayed a lake front cabin and had spectacular views across Lake Clark and the mountains. The fall colors were out in full when we visited in September. The food was delicious and served family style giving you an opportunity to interact with the other guests. All the staff were friendly and welcoming. It was just a wonderful experience and if you get the chance you should visit.

This was one of the highlights of our trip to Alaska. It stretched our budget to stay here for 4 nights and visit Katmai and Dick Pronneke's cabin by seaplane, but it was absolutely worth it. The only room available to us was a suite and it was gorgeous. Modern cabin design. The food was outstanding! The portions were huge and the options for breakfast and lunch were great. Dinner is three courses and there are no options, but we aren't picky eaters and loved everything we were served. We had the best salmon we've ever had here. I think they can accommodate food preferences if needed. Most of the vegetables and fruit are grown right there. We enjoyed sitting with other guests and met some really fun people. The staff were also wonderful. Very friendly, and the young man who kept us updated on our flight plans did a great job. We booked an extra day here in case one of our seaplane flights got cancelled due to weather, and I'm glad we did because our first day here our flight to Katmai did get canceled, but we were able to do it the next day, and then Dick Pronneke's cabin the day after. They can only fly if the weather is good enough to see. And even if the weather is good at the Farm Lodge it may be bad at your destination. Our safety is very important to us, so we didn't let the cancelation bother us and went for a hike and used their kayaks on the first day. Ultimately we got to do everything we had planned so we were very happy! I was shocked that they had wifi in the main lodge building, and it worked very well. Some people were disappointed that the rooms don't have wifi, but I want to unplug on vacation and live in the moment, so I was happy the rooms didn't have wifi.

We absolutely loved our 2-night stay at The Farm Lodge. Our suite room (house) was beautiful and was only outdone by the spectacular views of Lake Clark National Park. The homemade breakfast and dinners were absolutely delicious and the hospitality shown by the different crews and staff members couldn't have been any better. We can't wait to return for even more adventures.

We just returned from a trip to The Farm Lodge, but to be clear, we did not stay in the rooms there. They were booked, so we got an AirBnB nearby. But we took our meals at the Farm Lodge and they were excellent. Everyone eats the same thing, but it's really good and the young woman who serve it are very pleasant. The place is beautiful. Impossible to beat the rustic setting, but everything is clean and nice. Highly recommend. I can't speak for the sleeping rooms, but the rest of it is tip top.

We just returned from a trip to Alaska which included several days at the lodge. Wes was our main contact there, we thought he was great and he did an awesome job. We actually found everyone there to be lovely and accommodating. I have celiac, which makes for dietary restrictions (and anxiety when eating at new places). I really appreciated the chefs and servers for being so diligent. The meals were all quite delicious, even the bagged lunches. The scenery was amazing and the local trails beautiful. We had a lovely time and really enjoyed ourselves. I just want to touch on a comment by another reviewer that seems a bit unfair. There is a group blessing before the meal, that did not seem either excessive or lengthy. It also did not feel pushed on anyone or required. I inadvertently missed the group breakfast prayer every morning by not waking up and moving fast enough. We do pray, so it did not feel out of the ordinary for us. It can be skipped if it is something uncomfortable or upsets you enough to ruin your trip. I was curious about the island history, children’s camp and religion, and asked questions of one of the servers (she ended up being a granddaughter of the owner). She was very knowledgeable on the subjects and very sweet natured in general. Religion was only discussed when I specifically asked about it. We like to talk with the staff and community members about their life experiences. I found people in all parts of the state to have a similar sort of general happiness and kindness to them.

Flew up here for a few days, working on seeing as many national parks as possible. Couple of things to know 1) Culinary staff is AWESOME - great food, great supportive staff - just great. 2) There's a summer camp in the same cove so lots of camp songs etc after dinnner. 3) Its a "base camp" for other folks jumping off to other trips - meaning between 6:30 and 7:00 am lots of sea planes taking off for adventures. Also its associated with a bush flight school, so some nights people are practing take offs and landings for a few hours after dinner. In summary - great flight in, wonderful staff when you are there, but its not remotely quiet - lastly kayaking on the lake is as good as it gets on earth!!!

Very strange place. The food was undercooked and overcooked. Heavy mold in the showers. Cult like feel with long, tedious prayers before every meal. They have no alcohol on site and heavily discourage it. Beautiful surroundings, yet very strange employees.

Our Travel Specialist recommended The Farm Lodge to get to both Lake Clark National Park and Katmai National Park on our Alaskan 8 Parks Trip. Our adventure began at Merril Field in Anchorage at the private hangar of Lake Clark Air, which is intimately affiliated with the Alsworth family that owns and operates the Farm Lodge, pioneers of the Port Alsworth community within Lake Clark. The quality of the property, attentiveness of the staff, incredible competence of the float plane pilots, and the very tasty home-cooked meals exceeded all expectations. The Parks themselves are remote, rugged and stunning and one can't access them or explore them casually. The pilots and guides from the Farm Lodge made these two inaccessible parks not only accessible, but immersible! The weather the first week in August was wet and bleak- 43 degrees and raining! They provided overall-hip waders to keep dry getting in and out of the pontoon planes, and safety gear for the boat tour. Fishermen seemed to be having a very good experience. The cozy cabins and family style dining room took the edge off the damp chilly days. The dining room team went out of their way to accommodate our veggan and gluten-free diets with excellent fresh-prepared recipes. It was much more expensive than our usual road-trip style of travel, and worth every dollar. An incomparable experience in two amazing National Parks.

Our trip to the Farm Lodge and Port Alsworth was amazing. All staffs, especially the pilots and the waitresses, are genuine and very understanding. When we told the waitresses that we were not comfortable with formal dining, they brought our dinner and breakfast to our cabins! The place is totally serene with spectacular views. We wished that we could have stayed longer. But our two day visit will always be in our heart. We visited our 53rd (Katmai) and our 54th (Lake Clark) US National Parks using this wonderful company. Our flightseeing tour with Pilots Carlon and Asa made us want to explore these parks more. We fell in love with Lake Clark with those gorgeous mountain tops, lakes, and glaciers. Asa landed us in the end of Kontrashibuna Lake to just relax and meditate, while Carlon landed us in Lake Brooks to hike all the way to Brooks Falls. We didn’t see a bear in waterfall yet but we did see it in a trail. What an experience! We all want to come back!

Our stay at the lodge was near perfection. The staff was helpful and always ready to answer our questions no matter the time of day. The amenities were top notch and the views from the lodge are the best we’ve ever seen at a National park. The food we got at for dinner was better than any of the restaurants in anchorage which was the icing on the cake. Thanks for the great stay, Farm lodge. Hope to visit again soon!

We had a great experience staying at The Farm Lodge. After a few days in the wilderness, it felt great to eat a delicious farm-to-table meal and relax in a warm, comfy room. The staff is very friendly and took good care of us.

Last summer (2020) I was able to observe the Farm Lodge operation and I must say it is the best run wilderness adventure lodge that I have experienced in Alaska. It's setting and location (situated between two national parks) are ideal for people to experience the true wilderness. They have a multitude of activities available and a wonderful crew of guides and lodge workers. This is not a "party lodge", their meals are served in a family setting with juice and water; and begun with a prayer. I found it to be a peaceful approach and led to a relaxed and delicious meal, highlighted by fresh vegetables grown onsite. I am a long time Alaska wilderness guide who was weathered-in at Port Alsworth, as my clients and I were attempting to reach the community of Iliamna. With true Alaskan hospitality Glen Alsworth and his crew offered us shelter and amazing meals at the Farm Lodge until we were able to continue with our journey.

I had such a great experience visiting Lake Clark National Park due to the Farm Lodge. I just did a day trip from Anchorage and the staff was wonderful. They coordinated my flights, were ready for my arrival with a sack lunch and directions for hiking. They even helped find me a charger when my phone died. I will be back!

We just spent a week in this hospitable community with the Alsworth family and their awesome team. The food was delicious. A fun daily activity including unforgettable scenery made each day memorable. Visiting Twin Lakes is a must... magical. Meeting Lake Park National Park historian John Branson was a special bonus. Having been many places in the US and Europe, for us this was the trip of a lifetime. Thank you Farm Lodge Team!
