Great experience with the guys last week. Great diagnosis and that had me squared away in a blink. Gave me a great price as well. The cherry on top was he called me the next day to make sure everything was to my satisfaction.
Very polite and professional and got the work done in a reasonable amount of time. Prices are comparable to other shops in the area. All in all a good experience.
Gil’s was awesome! I called around for estimates on my front axle (Mavis/Auto whiz/Express) and when I got to them, it was so affordable, I went on and got a tune up as well, all under a grand. The service was quick and they were so kind. I’ve had my car for a little while now and she gets around, so there were a few others things I needed to get checked out. They gave me a free inspection after the service, let me know what they could do about the other stuff (including the estimates), & got me rescheduled for my next service. Go check them out!😊
Was traveling through from out of town and hit a pot hole on Hwy 280. A local convenience store clerk recommended them. I ruined the right front tire and knocked the front end out of alignment. They matched my brand of tire at a competitive price. They aligned the front and had me in and out in 3 hours. Pretty good for an unplanned visit!

The water pump on my 14 F-150 started pouring antifreeze and stranded my wife in Pinson on a Friday. Called Gills and had a tow truck there in an hour and a half and had a part ordered and on the truck and finished by mid-day that following Monday! The customer service that I received from Gills as a company and personally from Tommy and Roger were absolutely top notch service! Could not recommend Gills enough to anybody who needs their vehicle serviced or repaired! Honesty, integrity and the want to go above and beyond to solve problems is who they are!
Excellent service. I had an electrical issue with my rear tail lights that other mechanics had been unable to diagnose. Within a few hours, I received a call that my truck was repaired and ready to pick up. I appreciate not only their expertise, but also their honesty and customer care.

Roger and the staff at Gills were excellent. Top notch service. I worked directly with Roger who spent the needed time up front to talk with me through the situation, then called each day giving a status. This was very much appreciated.
I had an issue with my rear brakes. A dealer quoted me a ridiculous price. That is when I called Gills. Roger was able to walk thru each step diagnosing each situation and was able to complete the repairs for a 1/4 of the price I was quoted by the dealer shop.

I had a very specific issue with my car and had called a few places who had no idea what I was talking about. I called up Gills and they immediately offered assistance and did a full free diagnostic on the issue. They were also able to drop me off at my house and pick me back up since I wasnt able to stick around. The issue was found and fixed same day and they were all super nice and courteous through the whole process. 10/10 recommend.

My rv quit on me in the middle of the road. I called Gil’s and had my vehicle towed to their shop. Roger was prompt and kept me informed throughout the repair. Repair prices were very fair. I am pleased with the repair results. Highly recommend Gil’s for all your automotive repair’s.

First of all, we had a catastrophic failure of the water pump. I thought I’d just thrown the fan Belt and limped into Gill‘s garage two minutes before they closed. They couldn’t have been more pleased to see me, because I was over 25 miles from home, they looked to find out exactly what it happened and found that my water pump had seized up throwing the belts. Mike came back to the office and we sat down and looked at all the parts that we’re going to be required To successfully replace the water pump and damaged belts, We agreed on a price and set up a completion date both the time and the price estimate estimated was right on. No surprises now my 20-year-old Tahoe drives like a dream; thank you, Mike! Jim and Billie

Our family has been using Gil’s for quite some time. Unfortunately under new ownership, Main Street Auto, out of Atlanta, the customer service is lacking along with ownership in the work. Had the driver side turbo on a 2019 Expedition swapped out. In the process, when I called to check on the status, I was informed they were getting an estimate for the exhaust manifold that the mechanic sheared the studs on, requiring a new manifold, in their opinion. I was not notified of this minor obstacle or challenge, prior to damaging the manifold. This further increased the costs of the repair, and took the duration to almost 2.5 weeks. When the vehicle was ready, I arrived to pick it up, jumped in the car and noticed parts in the rear cargo area laying on top of our personal items that didn’t need dirty car parts laying on top of them. The parts were the entire engine cover and the old wheel well cover for the driver side. They were able to get it back quickly and put the remaining parts back together. The driver, passenger seats and console were soiled with grease, which I had the pleasure to clean up once back home. Just not the service that Johnathon Gil brought to the Harpersville and surrounding community. With the higher retail mechanic rates brought to us by the new owners, the value and customer service simply isn’t there.
I have had many repairs done here. These include the normal wear and tear things, as well as entire engine and transmission replacements. I have never had a bad experience with them. They communicate well, the car is fixed when it leaves there, and the price is fair.
I had antifreeze leaking and I gave it to them to repair. It took them about a week to fix it. Only a few days later, it started leaking again. So I brought it back to them to resolve the issue. Over a week went by without any call so I came in to check the status, only to find out they hadn’t even looked at it yet. I work in customer service and if someone pays you to do a job, and you didn’t do it correctly, you should make it right as soon as you can. So now, I’ve gone over two weeks this month without a car, out $190, and my car still isn’t working properly. They’re friendly people, I just wish they handled this situation better.
Gills is amazing!! They have worked on a lot of my cars in the past and recently my current car. They will work with you on financing repairs and get you the most reasonable parts but also make the smartest decision while choosing! They just put a brand new transmission and radiator in my car! Service was quick once they found out the problem. Angie is amazing at communicating what’s going on with the car.
