There hours of operation on sign is apparently incorrect as we arrived at 12:09 with a truck load of scrap . Was told they closed at 12:00 .The sign clearly says 12:30, The lady that we spoke with is quite rude, will definetly be contacting there Corporate office on Monday.
The posted hours are not the hours the posted days are not the days. The lady in front don't want to be there and if you don't read minds and know what to do before you get there you won't be helped. Park start walking around and asking questions find out they are closed on go find another business.
I arrived at 12:10 on Sat and was told they was closed already, said that they were open to semi's only til 12:30, if that's the case then they should have it posted at gate, online, and tell you that when you call.
Employees do not help you at all they just expect you to know everything. The cashier seems like she hates that she woke up this morning. They sit around let you unload some of your stuff and then tell you you need an account with them or they can't buy certain items that you have should have got up off your butt and told someone before I'll never go back to this place they are SORRY.
I had a house fire and accumulated a good amount of scrap metal and took it to this place an hour away because they paid a lot more than a local yard. They made a big deal about the burned copper law. On my next trip I was sure to bring a fire report and I didn’t have any problems.
The next time I went I had copper but nothing burnt. The older Latino guy recognized me as the guy whose house burned down and refused my load because even though it was clean he insisted that it was burned and cleaned off to make it look like it wasn’t burnt. Why the hell would I waste my time doing that when I could just throw down some burnt up wire and show my fire report?
He said I’m not sure but I can’t take it. Ok it’s not burnt but here’s my fire report which means I can sell it. He looked at the report and again said no. Why? This report is over 6 months ago….I don’t recall any mention of a time limit but I don’t have time to argue about it.
So I took my copper and drove over to Schnitzer in Columbus. 10 minutes later I had $100 without any nonsense.
AWFUL supervisor and inspector but very nice workers. If I could give no stars I would. Brought in 400 pounds of stainless steel and they rung it up as tin. Told them about it and waited an hour in line just for them to say “it’s not stainless steel” lied to our faces. Everyone BUT the inspector and supervisor said it was stainless steel. They robbed my husband big time.
Best place in Phenixcity, Al. & Columbus, Ga. area to take Recyclable materials. They are professional, knowledgeable, and treat their customers right. Adam and his guys are the best. I highly recommend SA Recycling, in Phenixcity City Alabama

Got good prices but my husband and I dropped off a load and before we could even get cashed out everyone hauled butt to the building by the office. They left 4 vehicles including me. I waiting in the cashiers room for 5 mins amd no one came. My husband said he thinks they took a long break. Just feel it's unprofessional to leave 4 vehicles just sitting here.
Great service but the lady that hands the checks out when you enter to pick up is so rude, she always looks miserable and throws your check through the window.
Staff I very friendly but really need to make public what hours are came in at 745 am and was told the yard was only open to company vehicles from 7-8 am and would not take anything from public until 8 am
They will rip you off. Since 2020 I've been there 133 times. I brought in 10 lbs of cans. In the past they said they deduct 2% from dirt and moisture. But this time they deducted 2 lbs. I complained that was 20%. Then they said they take off 2 lbs off everything. Then I said 'If I bring in 100 lbs or 4 lbs, it is 2 lbs off?' He said it is two lbs off. Not only that, I had 55 lbs of brass and they took 3 lbs off, which is 6%, which they've never done before. They just make up excuses and numbers to deduct from your amounts. They have no standards, no warnings and no accountability.
Upon entering the facility, we drove across a weight scale. Afterwards location for the type of metal we were recycling, we've been unloaded our trucks receive the proper paperwork from one of their employees. After unloading we went to the weight scale and got the proper paperwork. Once everything checked out with our weight and verification of what was recycled. We were cut a check and within an hour we were able to cash the check. And overall easy and painless process, would definitely recommend and would definitely return..
Good folksf and a great help. They do need to update their hours of operation though. They are only open Monday through Wednesday get the times posted. Thursday through Sunday they are closed. Holiday hours will start taking affect also this December
