🚨They sale lemons 🚨I got a 2014 Chevrolet traverse from them October the 17th. Before my 30 days was out . My transmission went out . I took it back. The owner son tried to make it right by putting me in a Honda pilot . 2014. We test drive it . I took the car by the time I made it home there was a ticking sound . The next day I took it back. The owner son told that it was just oil palettes and that Honda pilots does that. A little over the 30 day mark. The engine went out in that. Even though it’s in house finance. The owner was trying to be helpful. But he got tired of cleaning up his son mess and he wanted me to come up with way more money to put down to get into something else . But it’s not my fault that you keep saling me lemons . I have to file a civil matter . And yes I have all my paper work . From the first truck to the second one . I called this morning he trying to me me in 4 door car . Knowing I needed. Truck with a third row because I have kids . They know it’s tax time . So please be careful when purchasing a vehicle here . I will be posting three different places . Also know that this can be a civil matter . It is a lemon law in the state of Alabama.
Purchased vehicle 10/02/25. Engine light on. Diagnostic check showing 4 codes. One code turns out to be bad PC valves which are located under valve cover and possibly need a new throttle body even more money. $600+ job to be done for just the pavement valves and not covered by purchased warranty. Now have car payments and repair bill. Very dissatisfied! Dealerships clear the engine lights to make sales.
In February 2025, I purchased a 2015 Tahoe LTZ from this dealership, putting $7,000 down. I was told the vehicle was in great condition, and since I trusted them, signing the “As Is” paperwork didn’t concern me at the time. That turned out to be a huge mistake.
By June, only four months later, a tire blew out while I was driving. The vehicle lost control, and I ended up in the hospital. Thankfully, my wife and kids weren’t with me. The police report later showed that the rims on the vehicle were not stock, which likely contributed to the blowout — something I was never made aware of.
My insurance ended up paying off the remaining balance, but when I asked the dealership if I could get any portion of my $7,000 down payment back, the manager, John, flatly told me no. He didn’t care about the situation at all. In the end, I paid $7,000 down, plus another $2,000 in payments over four months, and now I have nothing to show for it.
This dealership hides behind the “As Is” paperwork and takes no responsibility. Once they sell you the car, you’re on your own. If you do decide to buy here, check everything carefully before signing anything.
The only positives were the staff members Lupita, Stephanie, and Juvi, who were the only ones that treated me with respect.
0/10 do not recommend! i was sold a lemon. My car was running for 2 1/2 months before it shut down. It was then sitting there in the shop for 3 months and some weeks with nothing fixed on it.
I bought a Jeep from car city and had to put it in the garage to be worked on to find out its not able to be fixed haven't even had it a month car city says there's nothing they can do about it also when electronic signing they are making stuff you don't even know you are getting and when you call they don't call back
Theses guys are the worst I ev3r had to deal with HORRIBLE customer service and lied about the vehicle then when confronted instead of making it right they told me to leave the property very very bad place to buy a vehicle
The manager is very rude and disrespectful. Also I am a former customer and have recommended multiple people to this company. I can’t believe how I was treated these past couple of days.
We bought the second car from Car City and are very happy with our experience there. Our salesman is Juvi and he is a great guy to work with. He will address any concerns immediately and give you an honest price accordingly. Stephanie at the office is prompt and knowledgeable. Everyone at Car City has been nothing but nice, good people. They have a good selection of used cars with a wide price range, well worth taking a look when you're buying a used car.
This place is great the owner and the staff are amazing Stephanie was a sweet person to the point and made sure we felt like home and taken care of we been thru alot lately and they restored my faith in people thank y'all

Stopped in Car City about 2 weeks ago my wife and I and bought and excellent vehicle came home in Montgomery thought about it and went back and bought our second vehicle we have never been so happy we will tell all of our friends and anyone that needs a car car city is the absolute best place in the world bar none!!!!!!
Horrible horrible service. They will cheat you out of your money and have you stranded without a car for months. They care about nothing but getting your money.
Staff is generally nice and pleasant. Not terribly pushy. That said, wat h what you buy. We looked at 2 of 1 type of suv. Both were priced at the upper end of perfect shape. Onepulled so hard to the right we almost wrecked. Other ran so poorly we turned around immediately. Last trip we fou d a truck we have been looking for. It had tons of engine codes that came up. They said they would drop the cost ahundred dollars on the suvs (one was roached ou and the other ran horrible) and nothing on the truck. Was hoping for a deal on the truck but, what ever. Unless they have a perfect vehicle wont buy here.
they sold me a 7k dollar lemon witch is now a 10k dollar driveway ornament cause my whole savings went into it and we still don't have a running vehicle but what we do have is a family of 5 that has to walk everywhere while we try to save up to buy another vehicle these people are crooks.... Wow what kinda delaership is this!?! Sold my mother a LEMON! She only made one payment on it before the timing chain went out on it and come to find out the motor has internal damage!! These people are not dout for you totally themselves!! Dont get stuck with a lemon!
My son bought a car and they screwed him good. Wheels have a lock but they didn't tell him or give him the key to get them off. Made them buy warranty but it doesn't cover anything. Has spent hundreds on fixing it and still gets stranded. Told them that they could trade it in after six months. Then when that's up they say no you have to wait a year. Not a very good business practice to lie to customers.
