Good place to pull parts but don't bother taking any brass aluminum etc. Worker that has 'been doing this a long time' screwed me over about 20 dollars. Not the first incident I've encountered. Been going for 10 plus years. Never had a problem until recently
This was the Best junk yard in northern Alabama ,in my own opinion, I'm updating my review since the last few times I been there seems like the sons of the younger folks are taking over the old man , the are charging a lot more for parts, something that I have gotten for $50 for many years they are trying to get $80 -$120 now , just whatever they feel that day , prices are not consistently the same , I understand that everything got expensive but still they are no paying a lot more for junk , they seem to not care for the customers anymore, I'm more of a car parts customer , I don't know how the business runs in the recicle side
If they ain't got it, you don't want it... Unless you want new... They ain't got that, no siree Bob... But if you see it and wanna buy it, go ahead. Anything there... At scrap price also. You can get red iron beams, lawn mowers, car parts and interior pieces as well. Tires are another solid buy from there.
Ron & Jerry Brandon and the rest of the crew are running the the best savage yard in the Tennessee Valley. If the part you looking for isn't there today. It a 75% chance .it will be there tomorrow. And 99% it will be there within a week. They moving old out and new in everyday.. They just cleared a few acres off at least a 1/3 of size of what they had stocked for years. And had it stocked with new Pickens in a week.
I won't go anywhere else. Fair with their prices. And if you think they are to high on their prices. You haven't looked anywhere else. If you a $or2 short in ya pocket. They will work with ya. So Thanks Ron & Jerry Brandon and the rest of the crew for all you do. As a Shadytree Mechanic y'all make it a little easier for me to put meals on my table and Roof over my family's head.
Man i tell you Rjs is hot this time of year ,but if you want good parts at a low cost you cant go wrong with these guys. Very nice friendly people who are very helpful with any thing you might need. However you better be ready to look for a while to find what you need. But if its on a vehicle they probably have it.Go see them and fix your ride. HAVE A GGD DAY
R&J is the only salvage yard & recycler that I will go to and there are several that aren’t as far away but dealing with R&J is worth driving the extra miles. Scrap yards can be and most often are hectic places to deal with but the guys at R&J’s have always been more than helpful and have taken care of my needs for nearly 4 years. I will not go anywhere else.

By far the best pick and pull in this area. If they dont have the part you need just come back tomorrow and it may be there. I go weekly and it's always several different new vehicles there it's like they just keep rolling in. There not sorted but it's not gonna hurt to walk a little. ..If you dont want to walk oriellys is your best bet.
This place is excellent for what you need to have done within your Recycling needs and more in that dept; As well in with the other services you can get from this place involved in the salvaged area of things with your vehicle or vehicles down to with parts,accessories, engines and rims and whatnot its the best place for prices and deals. Be ready to take a good hiking around thia vast area of vehicles look'n abouts n all so bring a backpack and or a wheelbarrow for the carrying of parts in the walk you may endure ( makes it easier) toting tools an parts. Employees will help with certain things if an when asked if not busy with another task tho. Great place to get your salvaged auto needs. Wassupp!!!

It was okay. I wish they had an Area where people could sit down inside while waiting for the other person that's getting a part. Right now you have to wait in your vehicle until they return. A waiting area would be nice. Oh and a bathroom. Women like me do not like being told I have to use it outside between vehicles. That really sucks. Just a portable bathroom would be better than nothing.
Have found all the parts I needed for my vehicle. They are the best of the best around time. Highly regarded and just remember bring the tools you need. Its several cars to browse from and a good workout walking to them.
pros: about as cheap as parts get here. budget? go here no doubt, okay staff. they're there to do their job so thats understandable, very large selection of vehicles and very spacious yard
cons: you will be doing alot of hiking through mud and broken glass and plastic shards, nothing is organized so its pretty much a guessing game where anything is or if it will even be in a acessable location to be of use, you will come across some "intresting" people to say the least, alot of cars tend to be stripped to the bone for the simple fact theyve been sitting there so long. not alot of vehicle rotation, heavy machinery moving around at all hours and the general state of disarray of the yard. theres vague trails and cars flopped ontop of eachother seemingly without reason.
if you know what youre looking for and arent afraid to get dirty i would without a doubt recommend this place. cant find a better bargain not to mention the warranty you get.
Best place to go get used parts prices are reasonable every one there don't mind getting there hands dirty to help you. I have been to other junkyards and would have problems and I'd get so aggravated that I'd leave and go to RandJ's.
Large area to hunt DONT LOSE YOUR TOOLS! Bring boots & extra shoe. Hot days if your going hunting for parts an umbrella drink & snacks a must for me . Plus water, antibacterial cream

Good place lots of vehicles. Other places have better scrap prices. But I turn in my scrap and then go get the parts I need ( convenient ) . Treats you right every time
Ronnie and Jerry are good people born and raised around. Nothing was give to them they've busted their butts to make that place into a fair place to sell your scrap and very reasonable on selling parts tires etc. I'd recommend R & J over any other competitors anywhere in this area!
They usually have anything and everything that u are looking for as far as parts for vehicles. They are friendly and helpful! Also affordable! I love this place! They also give cash for copper scrap metal and aluminum!
