This place is a completed rip off!! Our scrap yard closed, so we decided to give USA a go! Knowing what we had to test their honesty and integrity and they failed miserably!!
There should be a law against scrap yards deception and or felony charges for thief of goods! After being called out gentlemen stated he only was doing what management instructed him to give.

The workers are friendly and will help you out when you need it but they do want to low ball you to much to much and try to find any and every reason you deduct any kind of price in your material to be a big operation they Nick pick way too much other than that it's a good place to go to.
Busy as always on Saturday but much much more organized and running much smoother and efficient than compared to years past. Didn't take too long at all for the amount of customers that were lined up...was pleasantly surprised.
Today was my first time going here, and all I gotta say, it was excellent service. I was new to this, and everyone was so helpful on getting me in the correct location.
I even was turning in an old exhaust, and I was just scrapping it but one of the guys that worked there mentioned I could get more for the catalytic converter that was on it. So he pointed me in the right direction on that and helped me make some more money. They definitely helped me out in every way possible.
Also, Upon entering this place, you would not think it was a scrap yard. They do so well of upkeeping the scenery around the building and surrounding area. I highly recommend going here. Keep up the great work!
One of the best yards around the Birmingham area! There prices are some of the best compared to others and the employees make it easy and quick as possible. They are very knowledgeable about the material you bring in as well. We got the pleasure to meet Tom the owner that day, a stand up guy. He was making sure everyone coming and going was having a great experience. He even gave out some nice tumblers. None the less great place to bring your scrap
This is the best scrapyard in the area, maybe anywhere. The prices are generally significantly better than other nearby yards. The process getting in and out is quick and easy. The staff are all friendly and answer any questions you have. The owner, Tom is a stand up guy and goes out of his way to make sure everyone has a pleasant experience. I’ve been here many times and I’ll continue to take my business here.
I personally wasn’t a customer. I was just riding along with someone that had to do business with them. The only thing that was a hassle was not knowing which part of the business to go to unload. Other than that, seems like a well managed business.
I absolutely love USA. They know how to do their jobs, get it done quickly, they are friendly and treat their customers like family. I love love love Tom Fisher!!

This place is by far the best in Birmingham. The process is easy, and the customer service is far superior to any other recycling facility. I met the owner Tom, and he took time to speak with me and shared how he has built this business from the ground up, starting with almost nothing. His work ethic and business motto are to treat people how you would want to be treated. Their prices are always fair and competitive. This is the only place I do scrap business. A++
Well normally it's a quite pleasant experience I really like the decor. But the new kid working the back gate is a little slow and you can tell he doesn't want to be there because he will say as much it took over 30 minutes for him to way up my friends scrap and the computer crashed and we still didn't get finished and there wasn't anybody in front of us in line so it was ridiculous as to how long it took but we didn't have very much but in general is a great place to go
This is my new favorite scrap yard! It has an air of professionalism as soon as you pull through the gate. You can see your weight on the scale and they're very well organized. The weighmaster Tony at the small scale for aluminum and such is knowledgeable and takes time to explain everything you ask him about. The staff are helpful and polite. I began using this scrap yard almost everyday for the past week; scrapping is a large percentage of my income, and I've never left disappointed with the pay out. Which of course is one of the best things about this place! If you've been going everywhere else, please just stop. This is the model every other scrap yard should aspire to operate as.
First of all I would like to give the owner Mr.Fisher props. He contacted me and made every attempt to make things right from the bad experience I had at his establishment. He personally reached out to me and apologized and offered to make it right in any way he possibly could. Thank you sir for taking time put of your busy schedule to make sure each and every customer is satisfied. That means alot in todays society to be that devoted to your business. Again thanks for you making every attempt to make things right.

Really like this recycling place people there they they're there to get you out fast I pay very good price very courteous people do anything they can to help you just loved my visit there would recommend anybody going there that's got any recycling to be done very good place to go very good people could you know I'm go in there and fix some of the potholes they've got the roads and stuff but no it's it's a scrap yard I enjoyed going there would recommend anybody else going there that wants to do scrapping
We love this place we go a minimum of once a month. We make enough to have breakfast and go to the thrift store. We think this place should bring children in to see the process all the cool items and antiques people just trash. It is educational and fun!!!!
Awesome nice people the place looks like a Florida resort they have palm trees and so much cool stuff around it doesn't look like a scrap yard by any means. Great place in and out good people. Would recommend it to everyone!!!
Looked on website Sat. and they said they were open. Borrowed a truck ca me by and they were closed. Website said Monday hours vary so I called. I got that all customer services were busy so I borrowed truck again, closed again.I called today explaining what happened and to see if they could give me a coupon like they used to honor. I was told no and that hey were closed on all major holidays. Well then fix your phones and website, I forgot that I was a mind reader. I will never be back and I have been using them fo 15 year now.
I have been patronizing these guys for over 20 years and have always been treated well and given fair prices, sometimes even better than expected. Clean and friendly atmosphere. I consider them to be the best in the Birmingham area.
