They sent the VERY FIRST invoice via certified mail. This caused a huge inconvenience in having to miss time from work due to post office hours and additionally, the cost incurred for certified mail is expensive and im certain they figure that into your invoice! Ridiculous. Additionally, no choice was given as to what garage or repair/service facility the wrecked vehicle was to be towed. It was towed to their lot. I feel more attention should be brought to these Wrecker services who so blatantly take advantage of us simply bc they "have a contract with" a city, town or county.
We had a blow out on interstate 20 and a flat spare tire. We called and talked to sweet L.A. at Wheeler wrecker and she hooked us up with Cortez. He was able to come get us within fifteen minutes and carry us to Bessemer Tire Co. They are just great people that have wonderful customer service. Highly recommend!
Very nice people, my driver was extremely helpful in getting my vehicle safely on the hook with my concerns in mind and very accommodating of me and my two hour wait for a ride.
I had my car towed 2 days ago and the service was so good I'm still thinking about it. Cortez got to me in minutes and was extremely friendly and knowledgeable about his craft. My go to tow service in Bessemer from now on.
I think it’s really sad how companies OVERCHARGE people when they’re already going through a rough time after a car accident. It’s sickening…..$640 for me to get a vehicle that was just wrecked TODAY & towed 3 miles up the road is HIGHWAY ROBBERY! It’s very disgusting & this isn’t customer service. I understand businesses have to make money but $640 for a FEW HOURS is ridiculous

My car was totalled and the police called Wheeler wrecker service. I went to get my items from my car and several items were missing. My Noco jumper kit and my jumper cable both of these items were expensive but nothing else was missing from my vehicle. These items were in my vehicle when my car was totalled. I called Wheeler and they said that they have cameras on there lot and would check their cameras and get back with me but they never did. I called twice and still no call back. I would not recommend letting them tow your car unless you are absolutely sure you don't have anything of value in it. If you can help it. I figure that if your employees steal from there customers then they will steal from their employer.totally disappointed.
These people are so awrso.w they will come to.your house and help you with your csr even if it won't start 5 star place so call them when your in need of emergency car trouble they really are nice people yo deal with and honest too. I will use them again
I received excellent service from L.A. in the office. She was so helpful as I had to go remove my mom's items out of her car after a car accident. I showed her the necessary documents that was required and she gave me a piece of mind on what to expect on the next steps. When I went to my mom's car, I had to ask someone to jump start or help me get the car on,so I can access the trunk and Kenny was happy to help and also help remove the tag from my mom car as I didn't have a tool to remove the tag. L.A. AND KENNY THANKS SO MUCH FOR YOUR PROFESSIONALISM AND PROVIDING GREAT SERVICE. I know some tow companies have bad reputation depending on certain situations but I am happy to have a pleasant interaction with L.A and Kenny.
I’m was driving from Bessemer and some white guy was catch and following me with this company shirt on and I was scared for my life. Followed me in his regular truck for hours
Totaled my car and these guys picked it up. I went to get my belongings and I’m now missing a guitar, cooler, and 180$ pair of boots. Called them about it and they basically hung up on me. Appreciate it. Wouldn’t recommend if you like your belongings.
I've used them for a good fifteen years now. Since then they have help me with everything from unlocking my keys out of the car, towed me to the wrecker service because my engine blew up, and now helping me locate a car. Wheeler is genuinely good at what he does and loves what he does and he will do everything in his ability to make sure He helps you with your wrecking needs!
Was charged 50 dollars for oil dry when my car does not leak any fluids nor has it ever. Since its been back i have even put a white sheet under my car overnight, just to make sure and not a drop. Also you may wanna take cash as they charge 5 percent to use a debit or credit card. My key was also damaged. The only reason I gave 2 stars was due to how friendly the ladies in the office were. Other than that fact 10/10 do not recommend
An accident while on the job caused me to use these guys and they were helpful at the time. However, some packages were left in my car by mistake and were opened by someone with access. I informed them because if workers steal from the customer, they’ll steal from their employer…

Unfortunately my husband totaled his truck, but all of our tools his ladder racks etc where in the truck the people were kind enough to allow me to get everything from the truck. No one liked going to these places but if I had to deal with another towing service company it would be you guys.

The man was very helpful with telling me how to get my vehicle out of the shop. It was my first accident and instead of just charging me up front he told me to let my insurence handle it.
I recently was in a wreck and my car was taken here. They let me get my stuff out even days later. They were so friendly and courteous. Like nothing I have ever seen in a wrecker service, coming from Tuscaloosa. Their rates are even much cheaper than Ttown. I just can't get over how friendly and helpful everyone was. If you ever need a tow in Bessemer this is definitely the place to go.
I was the victim in a Robery. Not only did I get shot but my car wound up impounded by wheeler wrecker service and then at auction. These people have no heart.
After a long day driving from GA to AL for work, the last thing I wanted to deal with was a flat tire. After several attempts to get someone out to me (in the middle of what appeared to be nowhere in a town I did not know), I had over an hour wait no matter who I called. It was getting dark and I was growing more and more worried. Wheeler said they’d have someone out within 20, and they did absolutely that. The gentleman who came out was beyond friendly and very helpful. Being a female and alone in a strange town, you can assume the feelings I had about calling a tow service to take me to a tire store without having any idea where I was. Matt was so incredibly comforting and assured me he would make sure we found a spot that would fix my tire in an area where I would feel safe. He even offered to stay with me if I needed it. In a world where most companies offer mediocre service, this company went so far above and beyond my expectations I just had to share my experience. Thank you so much for helping me and providing such outstanding service!
The owner HOWARD WHEELER cursed me out over the phone and was very rude to me i never authorized them to come get my vehicle. I called another towing service which was pep boys which was on the way but instead before they got there Wheeler Towing showed up and i asked them are you with pep boys and the truck driver told me yes i am a d them posing as a rep for another company while my vehicle was stalled on the side of the road took my vehicle to pep boys and charged me $85 when got there revealing he was not with pep boys i talked to the owner and he cursed me out literally!!!! DO NOT TRUST THIS SNAKE!!! HE IS RUDE AND A RACIST!!!! SPREAD THE WORD DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE!!!! THEY HAVE TOWING SERVICES ALL AROUND US I REPEAT DO NOT TRUST THESE SNAKES!!!
These guys are great! My husband had an accident, and we are not from the area. Guys were so helpful to him. Chip personally took care of my husband and made it seem like family was there the whole time! When I got to the shop/yard 2 days later it was like dealing with an old mom and pop garage - friendly and helpful!
Love these people! Boss man was so great on the phone getting a truck out to us. Everyone else said 2 1/2 hours. Our awesome driver Drake was there in 20 mins (in bad weather) had the car hooked up in 5 mins and we were on our way. Definitely recommend!
We actually have not used their services before, but a representative of their company, Howard, came into the post office where my wife works this morning. He (correctly) mentioned that the place needed to be cleaned, noting that there was even a pair of women's undergarments in the trash can. The conversation took a turn for the worse when he then asked if they were hers and winked at her.
Naturally sexual harassment is disconcerting, and my wife felt uncomfortable the rest of the day. Howard's real mistake, however, was immediately using that to spring into an advertisement for this business and handing my wife a stack of cards. Sorry, Howard - we will not be patronizing your service any time soon.
They tore up the bottom of my car and want to act like it wasn't their fault. Of course you wouldn't take responsibility for this because you don't want to pay for the damages. Contacting an attorney as well as going to a mechanic to prove they caused the damage.
