My father bought an alternator from this parts place it didn’t work at all it was complete junk and they refused to give him his money back even though he had a receipt and it was bought recently avoid at any cost.
I go there often. Pretty good selection of stuff. I have noticed the prices are creeping higher and higher. As a loyal customer that frequents a small business, you would think that there would be some considerations made on parts, especially damaged ones. The guy at the counter wouldn't even make eye contact with me when he said no to my reasonable offer on a set of damaged ( curb rash and baked on brake dust ) aluminum wheels. My offer was $40 dollars less than his asking price of $200. Apparently whatever was on his phone was more important. So, with that attitude and all things considered, I won't be back.
Found this place on Marketplace. It states ask questions so I asked about a fuel pump availability. No answer just a copy of their flyer. Drove 11/2 hours to get there. We were now looking for a couple other parts. Tires and a Volkswagen sensor. An employee took my husband around. When the got to the VW for the sensor he was told they wouldn’t sell him that part. So why bring him to the car if you’re not selling parts? Next were tires, he sent me to Gadsden Tire number 1. We got there and no one would help. They just walked past us like we weren’t there. So all in all the trip was a waste of time. My husband does not recommend either place.
Try to charge me full price on a used part and a new one from factory was 30 dollars cheaper. Don't go there unless willing to pay full price on used parts don't even know they work won't go back and telling everyone I know
Great staff, multilingual and easy to deal with. I don't remember his name but check out the guy with the full sleeve tattoos he was very knowledgeable and helpful.
It was a well managed auto salvage yard. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. The parts I purchased were as described and at a very reasonable price... I drove 85 miles to get there and felt that I got a great deal.
Went yesterday to get a part wouldn’t pull it or give me a price. Said would tomorrow. Called today still hasn’t pulled part or gave me price. Guess I’ll go somewhere else! That’s there job to pull parts and give prices! Don’t recommend at all
Very good experience, the staff was direct and to the point , and helped me a lot with strapping down something to the roof of my van so it doesn't fall off. Recommended!
Never again, I bought a car from them 2 years ago, never received the title and still wouldn’t have received it if it wasn’t for my customer. If I ever need a car again it will be through someone else.
I have never felt so uncomfortable in my entire life.. that man was nearly drooling in me and making passes at me the whole time I was there. Ladies stay away please!!
Small Junkyard.Tjey will pull the Part for you.Seemed friendly.Wasnt to knowageable on part I needed but looked it up and was able to assist me planty.Prices was Decent.Very Small Parking lot.Wasnt to Clean but it's a Junkyard what can you Expect.4 out of 5 Stars for this place
Don't go here. It's not u pull anymore, and if the part isn't expensive or they don't feel like pulling it they'll tell you they don't have it. The guy at the front desk is a joke and has little to no knowledge of what he's even doing. It sucks cause this used to be a good place for on the spot parts.
Bought a motor from them had to pay for it first before could even check it out needed a 2005 v10 motor got to the vehicle and it was in a van wasn't a 3 valve v10 only a 2 valve plus the motor also had a blowed head gasket didn't even turn a wrench on it went back to the office told them it was no good plus it was the wrong motor and they wouldn't give me a refund on the motor told me it was mine I had bought it even though there receipts say that they will give a refund if it is no good so I will never shop with them ever again
In our experience, we were given a fair price for our old family van that had run its course. We appreciated that they came to pick the van up from our home (as it was not running) and were able to complete the process with cash in hand, on the spot. Very kind & we had no complaints nor issues at all!
(I'm fairly belated in posting this review as it has been about 11 months ago that we last did business with M&D. However, we would not hesitate to do business with them again.)
Don't go To M and D salvage they don't honor there parts the receipt clearly says 30 day warranty, No cash back exchange only and they don't honor that at all, it's a big rip off scamming everyone that comes there you have to pay $1 just to walk out and see if they even have your part and that's ridiculous in itself. But to not honor your own receipt that clearly says 30 day warranty is poor business, we would have been fine just exchanging it but you don't even do that,and that's also printed on the receipt. We won't ever do business with y'all again and we will be telling everyone we know to go find a different salvage yard y'all are crooked and taking advantage of poor people.
