Pulled up fully loaded. My truck rates a max of 1650lbs bed and 6400lb trailer... I was riding my axels. They weigh me out at 960lbs... less than 1000lbs wouldn't have me in my axels. Weird too... there's absolutely no exteroir digital read-out on the scale like most junkyards... so ya dont know how much ya actually have til you go and collect your money.
I know I was at max load because im on my axels... so someone is fudging the numbers in thier favor...
I come back with a second load. Same truck and trailer. Less that half the first load and im only 200lbs lighter??? Weird. What gets me is the Tare weight... same truck same trailer empty... first go, 5440lbs second go 6445lbs. Must have grew 1000lbs on my ass or something eh? Take your scrap to another yard with a digital read on the scale if you dont want to get screwed.
10 out of 10 do NOT recommend. The guy that sold me my parts was rude to me after telling me the window and mirror I had was 10 dollars more than a new one if I ordered it. Junk yards are supposed to be the cheap DIY option but these guys deal with gold apparently.
I go to scrap yards to find parts for projects, but this place never wants to sell anything. How much for this battery? The owner wants to keep that. How much for this golf cart frame? The owner wants to keep that. The owner wants to keep everything. It's a decent place to sell scrap though.
I had to have a part for my truck and needed it that day nobody else had one from O'Riley to every part store so I called and asked them they we're helpful to see if they had a vehicle for parts and if they had what i needed an even sent someone to take it off when i got there i was charged very little and the part worked great good place and very helpful and friendly people
They will cheat you on the price, that they give for what you bring them. They will not give you a market price for the stripped copper wire they cut it back a lot from the published price and will put a lot of it in with your general scap and not give you the copper price for it. They also have the scales where you can't see them so they can cheat you on the weight of general scrap. would not recommend bringing anything here if you want to get a fair price for it .might be ok if you like to get cheated for the price of scrap you bring them.
I brought them a load of scrap metal.When I arrived at 11:00 am they told me they were going to get a bite to eat and left.It would not have taken them 10 minutes to unload this.An hour has past and they have not come back.Some people have stopped with scrap and left.Maybe no one has ever wasted there time before.They must not no how it feels
My first load of scrap was priced fair and then the second load was less than the first and I know it was at least double the weight. I would demand to see the weight before you dump it off. Some blonde headed boy got me for at least $100.00.
