The park was very well kept, although the stairs you need to be careful on. Certainly worth a look.

Neat spot to stop and take a break from driving. Kids enjoyed the scenery and history.

I enjoy anything that honors Southern Confederate soldiers and history. I also like that the park has a Marker dedicated to all of our soldiers who fought in any war . The area is nice and has several picnic tables, but sadly,no grills. The water looked pretty and I liked looking at the furnace. I do feel like one of the markers was a bit conceptualized, which I do not like, but I am glad the area is preserved. I also saw people fishing at the water's edge. You can access the furnace & water edge area by a big row of steps or walk down a dirt road path. Not really handicapped accessible.

Outstanding workmanship and pieces of history. Must see to understand how big this thing actually is. Park is well maintained and under video surveillance. Picnic tables and a pavilion are available. There’s an outhouse for use if needed. Lots of plaques with information about the furnace and the construction of.

It’s a beautiful spot but there is not a lot of information to help visitors really understand how the furnace operated or its strategic importance. There’s one sign mentioning indigenous people but it seems like an afterthought.

A lot of unique history at this lovely little park. Not overcrowded on a gorgeous, sunny and might i add PERFECT Friday afternoon. Tucked away in the most random of places. The locals are super nice and a gentleman that lived in the last house before you got into the park was nice enough to give me a small history lesson on the area. 10 out of 10, would recommend!

Very cool and interesting place to visit. Several picnic locations, and has a great view of the lake. I just wished there was a little more to do. No playground for kids.

Great piece of history, preserved very well, right next to beautiful Weiss Lake Alabama. This old furnace is in really good shape, makes your imagination run wild. Great place for pictures also, beautiful scenery all around you. This is a must see if your ever near Cedar Bluff Alabama, great for a small piece of history in a history rich town.

Excellent piece of history. Beautiful place to just walk and enjoy the view. Water can get high so avoid going after alot of rain. Do your research before you go. You will be glad you did.

Very pretty and interesting. Great place for a walk. Usually not too busy and it overlooks the lake really nicely.

An aesthetic industrial structure in a lovely park that needs funding and a bit of restoration. This place needs and deserves more love.

Nice little park, never actually visited it, just drive through working. Edit ** I did actually stop one day to walk down to the furnace, it’s pretty cool

Very calming place to visit. There is a beautiful covered picnic area and plenty of green area to throw out a blanket and just relax. Fish from the banks or walk the trails. Must go to appreciate a little bit of history.

Really enjoyed the Furnace Memorial . The Wife & I enjoy visiting places that we travel. Some tend to be large and may get exhausting by the time you get to the end . Some you hope will never end . This place is very nice and if the water level of the lake wasn’t just drained for flood season that water would of been a more beautiful scene. Still nice . There is a place to hold a small event such as birthday. Small , secluded out of the way , quite park. It be a nice spot for drones . Taking pics of nature on the lake . Scene on a rainy day way cool .

Great little park and interesting piece of American history. The furnace stack is deceptive in size from the the road but when you walk up to it, it's massive. We took a stroll around to the opposite side of the park to what we believe is the channel that directed water to the furnace. We could be wrong but it's obviously man-made and not natural. It's well worth the trip to visit.

Has a nice covered picnic area with a stone fireplace. Suitable for a dozen people or so. Down the hill from the parking area and by the actual furnace are a few more picnic tables in an open grassy area by the water. Very nice if it's a cool day and you want to have some sun on you.
